good job recaping the game, i never knew joey graham was a high flyer.

Joey Graham has a 36 inch verticle leap man. I'd say that he's a very athletic player but I'm not sure he's a flashy enough of a dunker to be a high flyer.

I turned him into a highflyer. In real life he has a 36 inch vertical. It was too tempting

Key Matchup

Scott: And welcome to todays edition of EA News. Along side former Slam Dunk Champion and 2 time NBA Champion with the Houston Rockets, Kenny Smith. Lets take a look at our upcoming preseason night, a quiet preseason night as most teams are wrapping up thier preseason schedule and getting ready for opening night. First off, Raptors will face the Blazers again but this time, on the Blazers home court. Kenny, your thoughts??

Smith: Well, there was no question that the Raptors won the last game. We'll see if they can win one on the road. Last year, one of their main struggling points was playing bad on the road. They can also be inconsistent. They could be down by a big deficit in the first half, then out of no where, spark a run and win the game. I remember they did that to San Antonio early last season. So, you can never turn ur back on the Raptors.

Scott: And the Blazers??

Smith: The Blazers have a scary young backcourt. Telfair can score and get his teammates involved. He demonstrated that last game against the Raptors. He had 26 points and 8 assists. Their 2 guard Martell Webster..Man..that kid can shoot the ball. He torched the Raptors for 21 points, mostly coming from mid range and long range shots. Those two combined for 47 points on Monday night. The Raptors better watch out for those two.

Scott: What's the key match up tonight?

Smith: The Key Matchup tonight is gonna be Joey Graham and Darius Miles. Both guys would prefer to drive in then settle for a long bomb. Joey was a absolute monster at home against the Blazers. He torched them for 22 and had amazing dunks..some that just awed me. He reminds me alot of myself when i was younger *chuckles. Joey is a better defender than Darius, but D-Miles is obviously much more experienced. D-Miles will have to get past Graham's tough D to get to the hole on tonight's rematch.

Scott: Now, ur insight on the Nets and the Celtics.....

Projected Starters

Raptors:
C - Rafael Araujo
PF - Chris Bosh
SF - Joey Graham
SG - Morris Peterson
PG - Mike James

Blazers:
C - Theo Ratliff
PF - Zach Randolph
SF - Darius Miles
SG - Martell Webster
PG - Sebastian Telfair

yah..hopefully not. I have to really contain their backcourt and be careful in the middle, or get theo ratliff in foul trouble.

Raptors Lose a Thriller

Hoffa has shown steady improvement during the offseason

Portland, Oct. 23 (Ticker) - The Portland Trailblazers got revenge against the Raptors tonight. Rose missed a potential game-tieing three ball in the dying seconds of the game that would've sent the game to overtime.

The Portland Trailblazers got big time stats from their star power foward Zach Randolph, who had 22 points and 9 rebounds in the game. Sebastian Telfair, a rising star in the league also had a nice game with 17 points and 3 assists. Rookie Martell Webster had a solid night with 11 points and 5 dimes. Only time will tell, but it seems that the Portland Trail Blazers have gotten themselves a future big three in the league.

The game was actually very winnable for the Raptors. They got a big scare from Joey Graham, who was injuried early in the first quarter. He was diagnosed with a slightly strained Achilles tendon. He was cleared to play in the second half by medical team staff, but as a precaution, Coach Sam Mitchell decided to rest him for the remaining 2 quarters in the game. In 3 minutes of play, Graham put up 4 points and 1 assist on the scoreboard.

The Raptors got their usual production from their rising star Chris Bosh, who had 24 points and 6 rebounds in the game. Rookie Charlie Villanueva had a real solid game with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Coach Mitchell made sure he was in the game at crunch time and he delievered, playing excellent defense and getting 2 blocks. Jalen Rose came off the bench and had 13 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists, but missed the game tieing basket. Mo Peterson had another quiet night with 8 points, 3 boards and 3 assists.

Coach Sam Mitchell was both annoyed and pleased after the game. He was available for comment, and said "Although we finished with a 3-4 record, I was really pleased with our team effort and it was a great experience for our guys to be in a situation like this. In our games so far, they weren't ever close game situations, so it was a good experience for the young guys. But there was one thing I was very annoyed with in the game. The referees, I felt were a little biased. It's not really possible that the Blazers ended up with 19 free throw attempts and we only got 7. Throughout the game, we kept attacking the rim. There's really no way we could've only gotten 7 trips to the line."

In Game Photos
Bosh had 10 points in the first quarter
Chris blocks Sebastian Telfair
Bosh with a hook in the lane
Raptors gang up on Pryzbilla
Miles with 9 points tonight
Mo Lays in despite Randolph getting horny
Rose and Villanueva Connection
Rose Drains a Three
Villanueva with a floater
Villanueva played excellent defense in the 4th

lol..i didn't make the tv show template. It's devin112's template. He released them under live 2005. thx for the support, and I, like everyone else on the forum, is waiting for Andrew's Roster, so my real dynasty will start when he releases his roster patch.

tru they aren't as good as the cavs, but Jalen missed a game tieing 3 ball. Oh well, it's preseason
