My dinasty

Sun Jul 10, 2005 1:57 am

Hmmm, I think is not very impresive. What do You think of this:

LA Lakers after 4 seasons

Gasol 85
Odom 78
George 63
Bryant 99
Atkins 57
------------
Mark Jackson 59
Rick Rickert 53
Brian Cardinal 61
Ben Gordon 71
Derrick Dial 55
A Rookie Center 49
Jimmy Jackson 54
-----------
Vujacic 51
Another Rookie Center 43
Stepania 56

thats pretty impressive
Ben Gordon only at 71
and you don't have good point guards

I don't need them. Atkins is good enough passing and shooting and I don't want to get 5 stars as starters. I don' know why but I can't get good performance of certain players (traded Yao for Gasol cause the chinese was a pathetic defender) so I prefer to have 2 or 3 superstars and fill the rest with team players. I play only 4 min. quarters and I get very good performance with almost any PG, so there's one reason I don't have very good PGs in my teams.

Oh ok....so Yoa didn't rebound for you or block

Sun Jul 10, 2005 2:36 am

Well, when You have a guy in your team with 7.6 and 320 p. (82 overall rating),You think he will own the rest of the guys leaving only Shaq as his best challenger, but when You see the guy letting down his teammates allowing almost every penetration and getting average blocking and scoring stats (good rebounding) You have the feeling this guy is not the star C and star defender You want for your team. So I trade him for Gasol cause I coudn't get a good trade for C. Bosh and other +60 player. I only want young players in my teams. (¿Gordon only 71? The guy starts at 66. I think he improved a bit as a reserve player)

Sun Jul 10, 2005 2:45 am

so did Gasol do better than Yoa

Sun Jul 10, 2005 2:50 am

Yes, he did. The season I have Yao, Pau was the MVP and Memphis won the coach of the year an NBA titles, so that was the main reason I trade them.

Maybe because You like Stojakovich's style of play, or maybe NBA canadian teams don't interest too much.

I like your dynasty here Sac-1 (Y) 17-3 record :shock:

With that Amare trade, I bet you'll win it all, no problem. The only competition I could see for you is from the Spurs...

Have you thought about trading Mobley to the Clippers since he's signed with them? You could get a deal for Maggette or Kittles.

.::Kings Go On A Two Game Losing Streak::.Image
::In the first::
The Kings had two players that kept them close to Memphis, the players Peja and Amare they both got 8 points in the first with Amare dominating inside while Peja dominating outside but still they were not able to get the lead, the first ended at a score of 27-25 Memphis.
::In the second::
It was all about Williamson with him getting all 11 points carrying the whole bench single handedly, Bobby Jackson did not have a good preformance, so the second finished with Evans scoring a buzzer-beater in the second and the score was 42-52 heading into the third.
::In the third::
Memphis made a comeback with Miller on fire from the three-point line but the Kings were able to keep the lead with Amare still dominating inside on both sides of the court so the score was 78-85 Kings.
::In the fourth::
Memphis was finally able to complete the comeback and take the two point lead but the Kings were able to stay close with their high precantage shots, in the last 10 seconds the Kings were down by three points but Bibby was able to get a buzzer-beater to send it into OT with the score tied at 111-111.
::Overtime::
Memphis lead most of the way but Kings were still able to stay close with their hot shooting from downtown and great defense from Miller and Amare(3 blocks each) but it all came down to the final four seconds, Memphis had a two point lead, Peja inbounds the ball to Bibby who gets double teamed right away so he passes to mobley who shoots a lean in jumper to send the game into double overtime!
::Double overtime::
Memphis finally started to take over with their solid bench and Jason Williams getting everything he puts up and they had another advantage as they injuried centre Brian Skinner and Won it with a final score of 147-145.

Two game losing streak...that's nothing. Don't worry about it, I'm sure you'll beat the Hornets.

About Mobley- if you trade him, I think you should go for a defensive-minded SG because your team is already loaded offensively. Plus many of the big scorers that you'll see in the playoffs play SG so it would be good to have a great defender to help out your team.

Possibilites: Bruce Bowen, Ira Newble, Tony Allen, Andre Iguodala, Michael Pietrus, Eddie Jones, Alvin Williams

Thu Jul 21, 2005 1:59 am

That's a hell of a recap (if you had used better grammar :lol: ) Enough with the high scoring games!!! :lol:

As for Mobley, the players bullsfan mentioned, except for Eddie Jones are not worthy to be traded for Mobley, imo. But he's right, if you are trading then think defense for sure. You're not going to get through the Play-Offs without defense. Just look at Phoenix this year. :wink:
