THE FOURTH QUARTER
The biggest problem Atlanta had in the third quarter was the complete inability to reward their great defensive work by putting some points on the board. Zan Ouakili and Donyell Spencer made sure this wouldn't be the case in the fourth, as Spencer threw a perfect pass from just beyond the three point line to a flying Ouakili who threw it down hard on the helpless Tyson Chandler. The lead down to 16 was the lowest it had been since the second quarter, without question it was an achieveable deficit, 10 minutes is a long time in a basketball game and with Marek Zukauskas and Ruslam Badzim fresh on the bench it was more than possible for the Hawks to make their mark by launching an improbable comeback against a youthful Bulls team on the verge of their first win of the season. Antonio Davis was re-introduced into the game right at the same time as Dean Ollie. It was a tactical move by Chicago, and one that paid off as Ollie struggled on the offensive end and Davis dominated on both. Since signing a huge contract usually reserved for superstars, no one was quite sure what exactly Antonio Davis had done to deserve this vast amount of cash, but tonight he showed glimpses of the ability that got him such a contract to begin with. Ollie had no answers for Davis's tough D, he missed four shots in a row as on the other end Antonio Davis scored 10 unanswered points of his own and put the Hawks back where they started. Down by 26 and finding no answers at all from the Bulls onslaught. Kirk Hinrich was sent back into the game like some sort of mercenary to finish the hawks off. In an effort to reel the game back in, Rafer Dalton and Dean Ollie tried to rediscover the link up play that had the media and the Hawks coaching staff raving, but alas it had escaped them. Instead of clean passes from Dalton leading to big dunks from Ollie, there were turnovers and blocked shots. The possible miraculous comeback had turnt into a Chicago mauling, lead by Trent Steele and Kirk Hinrich. The two guards were ruthless in their torturing of the young Hawks, everytime Atlanta tried to bring themselves into the game there was always a Bulls player ready to hammer another nail in the coffin. Dean Ollie finally found some touch inside against Davis, but it was too little too late as Eddy Curry takes over once again, scoring his 25th point of the game and putting the result out of reach with only two minutes left. Ben Gordon, despite a quiet night by his standards, was rested for the final two minutes allowing Trent Steele to return and finish the game off 119-97. Some people found it odd that Chicago drafted another combo guard despite having Gordon and Hinrich on their roster, but Steele killed off any doubts as his 18 points out-performed the man he had replaced on the bench, Ben Gordon. Kirk Hinrich had gained player of the match honours with 31 points as the struggling young Hawks were left to deal with another loss in a game that they were never really in to begin with.
Game stats to come... I'm going to make a new boxscore graphic for the next game so it won't take me as long to type them all up.

I've been pretty slack with this dynasty, but I'm going to put it on the back burner at least until I get a better harddrive from this computer. I can't even run Photoshop 90% of the time and it makes it near impossible to make graphics n whatever. I'll keep writing recaps but I won't post them until I've got this white piece of shit that happens to connect to the internet sorted out.
