HEAT | Conf-Finals - Game #6 - Rose shoots 1-14

It wasn't the smoothest of starts, especially choosing the Heat. In the end it came down to D-Wade and his awesomeness. On July 7, before LeBron's decision, my dream team was almost complete. Wade and Bosh together. When LBJ said he'll join them, I wasn't that excited, I had the same reaction if they'd signed Brandon Haywood, would have been much more excited if they'd got Korver.

LeBron was awesome to use in 2K, but even throughout the year IRL, watching him on a daily basis, made me dislike him more and more. Watching about 50% of Heat games this year, I saw how over-rated he is on defense. Wade hustles way more and should be All-Def. Watching a Heat-Bulls game, I saw Deng guarding LeBron, now that's defense.

After Lebron's inevitable Finals collapse IRL, I decided to get rid of him, though a story would be hard to develop. He led me to the title after all. My first idea was to retire him, but I decided to get something back for him also.

Thanks to all the suggestions, in the end I think I found a good deal for both sides. The only problem so far has been Hasheem Thabeet starting at Memphis, he's been averaging like 1-2 points per game.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this season pans out, I've set some high expectations for myself.

I'll get 2K12, will have to see if I start a new one with that. Firstly, I will finish at least one season of this.

Relief in Orlando - Dwight wants an extension. Orlando fans were getting nervous about the scenario in which Dwight leaves via FA, leaving the city like LeBron from Cleveland, but Dwight has put a stop to those stories, as he said he loves the city and wants to win there.



Anthony Parker announced that this season will be his last. Being a solid role player in the NBA, Parker will be remembered mostly for his achievements in the Euroleague.



After waiting for offers and getting none, Murphy decided to return to the Nets.



Donte Greene is upset with the situation in Sacramento. A trade is already in the works, according to rumors.

No problems dude, RL is getting in my way too. Plus, this is on hold anyway as my laptop is at the menders. I'll finish this season for sure, and a new one will come in 2K12, which team - don't know yet, will have to get the game first and try a few teams. The Heat are still my #1, trading LeBron will probably be involved.

Martti, do you plan on continuing this Association with 2K12, just changing all rosters to match current ones in 2K11 (epic, but at least you are aligned season wise)?

Will definetely give it a shot, though it will take some time. Rookies need doing even if I get updated roster with rookies (Barnes, P Jones, NLSCers etc)

While your at it of updating the rosters from 2K11 to 2K12, might as well make it realistic and update the ratings of other players, like giving Joel Anthony 99 in all his ratings.

Heat and Thunder discussing Gasol for Ibaka?



The Heat and Thunder have reportedly been involved in trade talks and the proposed deal would swap Serge Ibaka for Marc Gasol. Gasol was involved in the deal that saw LeBron going to Memphis.

Serge Ibaka has been displeased with his role in Oklahoma City and doesn't see his future with that organization.

The rumors have surfaced since Ibaka has seen decreasing minutes in OKC and Gasol has struggled to fit in with the Heat, averaging just 6 ppg with the team.

Coach Spoelstra has also preferred long-time HEAT C Joel Anthony in crunch time, with Gasol sitting out the last 4 fourth quarters.

Yeah,it's a shit article (No 2K for screenshots), but I remembered this idea I had. Ibaka is displeased, his morale was at 0% despite getting starter minutes in OKC. Also, Gasol doesn't really fit my style, in 2K, I like to have athletic, shot-blocking Centers, especially since I have the scoring coming from elsewhere.

Just an update, I can't give you the ETA on the next update, since I won't be going home until the start of November, when hopefully my laptop will be fixed and ready to go, so I can start filling it with crap.
