Bobcats - Timberwolves Notebook
• Posted: December 6, 2011 9:33 PM EDT
THE FACTS: The Bobcats went on to take the momentum out of the home crowd in the second quarter, Tyrus Thomas provided the spark that the Bobcats needed, Thomas would score 10 Points in the second quarter and a couple of rejections and steals to put the Cats on top of the Timberwolves. In the third quarter, the Timberwolves fought back in the form of Kevin Love and Michael Beasley, the duo would score with ease in the third quarter and trimmed the Bobcats' lead from 15 back to a single digit ball game. The fourth quarter belonged to the Timberwolves at the very start, the Wolves would try and make their comeback but each and everytime that the Wolves would cut the lead to a much smaller margin Aaron Brooks would stop the momentum.
THE STAT: Yet again, Michael Beasley had another 30 Point game.
HOT: He was on fire, Michael Beasley is now joined by teammate Kevin Love as they both powered the Wolves to get back on track of the game, Love had 22 Points and 8 Rebounds while Beasley had 35 Points and 4 Assists but a magnificent three point shooting by Aaron Brooks in the Fourth Quarter gave the Bobcats the win over the streaking Minnesota Timbewolves
NOT: Enes Kanter garners tonight's special mention. Even with Kanter rejecting 5 persons in this game he was one of the main reasons on why the Timberwolves lost in the final minutes of the game, Kanter would allow offensive rebounds and most of all, allow Tyrus Thomas penetrate easy with out any effort and his fouls were useless fouls, again he allowed Thomas and Brooks to and-one over him time and time again.
QUOTABLE: "This is a definitely a huge boost to our game, i know were struggling but i guess this is a start" - Bobcats' Guard, Aaron Brooks
QUOTABLE: "I guess the magic comeback didn't work for us." - Wolves' Head Coach, George Karl![]()

Timberwolves - Nets Notebook
• Posted: December 10, 2011 9:44 PM EDT
THE FACTS: The Timberwovles are coming off a two game losing streak and trying to avoid a third straight loss, but unfortunately the New Jersey Nets did not allow the Wolves to break their slump this month of December. The New Jersey Nets were bombing away three after three and the Nets were draining them. Travis Outlaw sparked the Nets with 26 Points and a couple of steals.
The Timberwovles also gave a fight but Enes Kanter and Michael Beasley's effort weren't enough to overcome a late fourth quarter surge by the New Jersey Nets
THE STAT: Travis Outlaw had 26 Points in the Nets' win, this marks the most points scored by Travis so far this season. Same is true with Enes Kanter, he recorded a career high of 24 Points in the losing effort.
HOT: Enes Kanter and Michael Beasley were going out there and scoring second chance points and Kanter doing his thing by over powering his defenders in the low block while Beasley was scoring in the perimeter and going to the line with ease but their efforts were no match for Travis Outlaw's three point scoring ability in this game, Outlaw would simply shoot over Kanter or anyone who would guard him on the floor and would just abuse them.
NOT: Kevin Love was a total non-factor in tonight's game. Love only scored 9 Points and could hardly rebound the basketball and that was a huge loss for the Timberwolves, Love also threw away 5 Turnovers which were wasted opportunities for the Timberwolves.
QUOTABLE: "The Timberwolves are possibly Travis's most wanted team" - Nets Head Coach, Avery Johnson![]()

Timberwolves - Celtics Notebook
• Posted: December 12, 2011 7:30 PM EDT
THE FACTS: The Boston Celtics got their hopes all on Rajon Rondo on this game as he posted 25 Points, 12 Assists and 4 Steals. Rondo helped the Wolves struggle even more and make them look bad, Celtics forced a lot of turnovers which led to easy scoring opportunities for the Boston Celtics. The Celtics also got to the free throw stripe more often than usual in this game led by Paul Pierce who went 6/6 at the line and led the game in scoring with 29 Points.
THE STAT: Michael Beasley yet again recorded another 30 Point game performance along with 7 Rebounds. Rondo went 11-12 from the field.
HOT: Michael Beasley was hot in tonight's game, but he shined in the third quarter as he wasn't able to play much in the 1st Half due to early foul trouble. Beasley efforts were joined by Love's offensive showcase but the turnovers from Ridnour and Rubio was a huge factor to why the Celtics still remained on top for the whole game. The Celtics couldn't had won the game if it wasn't for Paul Pierce and young Rajon Rondo who made their move early in the game and would consistently deliver until the buzzer sounds.
NOT: The Minnesota Timberwolves' shooting at the free throw line was terrible in this game, something we don't usually see from the Timberwolves. The Timberwolves only shot 64% at the line and the Wolves struggled to get any second chance points and also struggled rebounding the ball.
QUOTABLE: "You see, its not only one guy that should carry our team to victory, it should be a team effort each and every game on a consistent basis, but unfortunately for us, no one but only one showed up and really came to play to win not just play, but to win. Now that's the importance of team effort in every game." - Wolves Head Coach, George Karl![]()

Love should grab more rebounds if he wants that record..

Timberwolves - Knicks Notebook
• Posted: December 14, 2011 8:30 PM EDT
THE FACTS: The Timberwolves are on a merge of having to lose 5 games in a row, courtesy of the streaking Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks but the Timberwolves gave a big fight to the New York Knicks to handle. Guess what, the Timberwolves effort paid off this time, the Wolves scored an upset against the mighty and enhanced New York Knicks behind their so called "Superstar" Michael Beasley who yet again delivered points after points when the Timberwolves needed the most. Beasley helped the Wolves rally a 10 Point New York lead with 3 Minutes left in the fourth quarter but this time he didn't do on his own, Ricky Rubio, Kevin Love, Wesley Johnson and Enes Kanter supported Beasley to finally end their losing streak. Carmelo Anthony delivered for the Knicks well and so did Chauncey Billups and Amar'e Stoudemire but Melo and the gang failed to secure their lead in the fourth quarter but unfortunately the Wolves were able to force the Knicks to make difficult shots.
THE STAT: Its been 2 games in a row that Michael Beasley has scored 30 Points or more and maybe more or less 5 times that he scored 30 points or more so far this season.
HOT: Yet again, Michael Beasley delivers when the Wolves needed him the most countless times this season. Although Beasley wasn't able to grab much rebounds and pass that much, his teammates understand on why he didn't pass that much but he wasn't labeled as a "ball hog" by his teammates. For the Knicks, Carmelo Anthony was their go-to-guy in tonight's game, Melo scored 29 Points and his 29 Points was joined by his 9 Rebounds and Amar'e Stoudemire's 20 points but their turnovers was a huge factor to their loss.
NOT: He was a huge factor in the first half but was a clear non-factor in the fourth quarter, Chauncey Billups threw away too many three pointers but was not able to drain much like he did in the first half, Billups shot 2/7 from 3 point range and Melo also was a non-factor from long range with only 1/6 from beyond the arc.
QUOTABLE: "I guess we did a fantastic job on the defensive end on the floor especially during the fourth quarter and it just shows how much the players want to win this game and how much passion they put in the game that they love." - Wolves Head Coach, George Karl![]()

Timberwolves - Raptors Notebook
• Posted: December 15, 2011 9:00 PM EDT
FACTS: In the fourth quarter, Wesley Johnson went out to score 12 Points in the fourth quarter after having just 4 points in the first three quarters of the game. Although the Raptors dumped the Timberwolves through rebounds, the Raptors still lost the battle even with Andrea Bargnani scoring 34 Points and Louis Williams dishing out 16 Assists, the Timberwolves offense were just clicking, like it was their lucky day. After the Raptors took charge of the game earlier during the 1st Quarter, Rudy Fernandez was in total control of the game, Fernandez made all of his first 4 attempts during the game, including 3 Straight 3 Pointers to start it all.
THE STAT: Timberwolves' bigman Enes Kanter tied his career high for most points in tonight's game with 24 Points and adding 8 rebounds and 3 Blocks.
HOT: Enes Kanter kept the Timberwolves alive with his second chance points and his scoring off the low block which has been rarely seen in his game since he entered the NBA, Michael Beasley helped Kanter and the Timberwolves on offense having to score late buckets to rally back the lead the Raptors and Andrea Bargnani took early in the fourth quarter. Bargnani was firing on all cilinders in the fourth quarter before being slowed down by the Timberwolves with tough and ragid defense.
NOT: everyone played a great game offensively and defensively, so there is no available "NOT HOT" special mention even if i wanted to add one. Tune in next time![]()
QUOTABLE: "It was just not our night, We had 2 chances to win the game but Rubio took that away from us. But that's all right, it happens." - Raptors Guard, Louis Williams
QUOTABLE: "A win is a win, the margin doesn't matter. We're glad we were the one who pulled away for the W." - Wolves' Guard, Ricky Rubio![]()
