New Yorks Knicks captain Amar'e Stoudemire today helped the Knicks in winning their 7th straight game of the season against John Wall and the lackluster Washington Wizards in a 99-71 victory.
New York Knicks captain, Amar'e Stoudemire had an extremely dominant performance with 37 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and a block. The Knicks captain as usual was dunking the ball at will and today the NBA realised his fantastic mid-range game where he went 10-12 from mid-range. Stoudemire scored 28 of his 37 points in the second half and went 7-7 from the free throw line.
Jonny Flynn also had a great game with 17 points and 10 assists. The sly point guard was dodging past defenders and slamming it down all night. Flynn scored 13 points in the first quarter and had the Knicks out to an early lead. The Knicks starting point guard went 8-11 from the field tonight.
For the Knicks, Danilo Gallinari had 15 off a fantastic 5-5 from deep and Rafer Alston, Anthony Randolph, J.R. Smith and Roger Mason had 6 points each. Alston finished the game with 10 assists however. For the Wizards, Andray Blatche had 19, John Wall had 17, Yi Jianlian had 14, Gilbert Arenas had 13 and Josh Howard had 11.
The New York Knicks now go back to Madison Square Garden to face Carmelo Anthony and the 8-2 Denver Nuggets on the 12th of December.![]()

The New York Knicks began the season a perfect 7 and 0 until Carmelo Anthony stepped foot in New York and handed them their first loss of the season.
Denver Nuggets captain, Carmelo Anthony came in to New York to prove that the Knicks were not the best team in the NBA. Carmelo Anthony scored 39 points to go with 3 assists and 2 steals. Anthony was destroying Gallinari as the Italian Forward for the Knicks could not keep up with the phenomenal shooting of Anthony tonight. The team switched big man Anthony Randolph to guard him and it slowed down his scoring due to some highlight reel blocks from Anthony as well as his speed and size combination. Carmelo Anthony went 19-30 from the field.
Amar'e Stoudemire was truly the only reason the Knicks managed to stay in the game for so long. Stoudemire was going point for point with Anthony however the 3rd Pick in the 2004 NBA Draft sadly outplayed the former Rookie of the Year. Stoudemire finished the game with a team high 27 points off 11-16 shooting to go with 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks.
For the Knicks, the former Denver Nugget J.R. Smith had 15 points, Anthony Randolph had 12 points to go with 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 blocks, Jonny Flynn had 9 points to go with 13 assists and Danilo Gallinari had 5 points to go with 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks. For the Nuggets, Chauncey Billups had 17 points to go with 17 assists, most of which went to Carmelo Anthony. The former New York Knick, Kelenna Azubuike had 13 points and Nene had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The New York Knicks now go into New Jersey to face Brook Lopez, Devin Harris and the New Jersey Nets on December 14.![]()

The New York Knicks defeated the New Jersey Nets today in Newark, New Jersey 96-95 off fantastic play by a well rounded Knicks team.
Knicks captain, Amar'e Stoudemire as usual played fantastically. Stoudemire scored 35 points to go with 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block. The Knicks captain was craftily showing signs of Hakeem Olajuwon in the post faking out both Derrick Favors and Brook Lopez constantly. Stoudemire continued his assault on the Nets with a number of dunks over the 3rd overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft, Derrick Favors. Stoudemire was initially having trouble with both Lopez and Favors whom played fantastic defense on the Knicks captain, however inevitably as the scoreline may tell, Stoudemire overcame the Nets big men.
Timofey Mozgov was injured today after a hard foul by Brook Lopez. On the fast break Mozgov had the ball and went to dunk it only to be tackled to the ground by Lopez in mid-air. Amar'e Stoudemire pleaded to the referee for the flagrant foul however the referee waved off his protest. Mozgov was taken to the back and sat out the rest of the game. After the game Mozgov was confirmed to have back spasms and would be able to play however would not be at 100% for another 1-2 weeks.
For the Knicks, J.R. Smith had 17 points, Jonny Flynn had 14 to go with 4 assists and hit two crucial three pointers in the final minute of the game to give the Knicks the lead and Anthony Randolph scored 6 points to go with 8 rebounds and a phenomenal 5 blocks. For the Nets, Brook Lopez had 18, Terrence Williams had 15, Devin Harris had 14 to go with 9 assists and Derrick Favors had 8 points to go with 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 5 blocks.
The New York Knicks go back to Madison Square Garden tomorrow night to face Richard Hamilton and the visiting Detroit Pistons.![]()

Knicks captain, Amar'e Stoudemire had been playing phenomenal as of late and putting up MVP-worthy numbers. The Knicks captain scored 34 points to go with 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals. Stoudemire whom played fairly soft throughout the first half (scoring 9), scored 25 points in the final half to secure the victory. Stoudemire was having troubles with the combination of Greg Monroe and Ben Wallace in the beginning however throughout the 2nd half utilised his athletic ability to consistently score around the rim.
J.R. Smith also had a fantastic game today scoring 24 points to go with 5 rebounds and 1 steal. The newly acquired Smith scored 20 of his 24 points in the first half and helped the Knicks stay in the game due to a scoring drought by both Flynn and Stoudemire in the first half.
For the Knicks, Danilo Gallinari had 13 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks, Anthony Randolph had 11 points to go with 7 rebounds, 1 steal and 4 blocks and point guard Jonny Flynn had an amazing double-double with 10 points, 15 assists and 5 steals. For the Pistons, Tayshaun Prince had 19 points (including one three-pointer to end the game to narrow the margin from 5 to 2), Ben Gordon and Rip Hamilton both had 18 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists, Charlie Villanueva had 12 points and Rodney Stuckey had a double-double similar to that of Jonny Flynn with 12 points and 13 assists.
The New York Knicks will go in to Philadelphia on the 17th of December to face Andre Iguodala, Evan Turner and the Philadelphia 76ers.![]()

The New York Knicks won their 11th game today against the Utah Jazz in a 106-103 overtime victory in New York.
Amar'e Stoudemire over the past month has proven that he is a serious candidate for MVP, scoring no less than 34 points over the past four games en route to 31.1 Points per game (2nd highest in the league, behind Kobe Bryant). The Knicks captain today scored 38 points to go with 9 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 game saving block against Al Jefferson in the 4th quarter. Stoudemire was denied inside the paint numerous times and had to resort to firing many mid-range jumpers which started to go in one after the other proving that the big man has shooting skills. Stoudemire went 18-28 from the field tonight along with 4-4 from the line.
Sundiata Gaines, the former D-Leaguer today proved to the Knicks that he was in fact a legitimate NBA starter scoring 27 points to go with 7 assists. Gaines went 6-6 from deep in the game including one four point play over Knicks shooting guard Roger Mason Jr. Gaines proved time and time again that he can consistently make his own shot.
For the Knicks, Anthony Randolph had 18 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks, Jonny Flynn had 15 points and 11 assists, J.R. Smith had 13 points and Ime Udoka had 5 points. For the Jazz, Al Jefferson had 26 points and 5 rebounds, Paul Millsap had 12 points and 13 rebounds, Deron Williams had 11 points, 4 rebounds, 13 assists and 3 steals and rookie Gordon Hayward came off the bench to score 10 points.
