Sadly the game froze up during the Portland game and so there will not be a match report.

Just in case you are wondering how i am going about controlling the games in this Dynasty, i simulated the first season, but for the second season i am simulating with intervention on and intervening when losing in the 4th quarter, if i lose 2 games in a row i will then play the next game, this was the case for the portland game but the game froze up in the 3rd quarter so i will loading the game back up and simulating it, i will also play some regular season games regardless of the situation as i see fit.

I will always play all playoff games.

I give full match reports for the games i play in full, there will be 10 game reviews throughout the regular season.

Fine start to the season, great debut for Bosh. Hope you can continue that form!

thanks mate, bosh was everywhere in that first game, i think i first noticed Lebron was playing in the second quarter :P , he was unbelievably quiet, the cavs are weak this year, they never seem to add any players after shaq z n parker leave at the end of season 1.

cheers mate i had signing shaq in mind but was also after iverson and lebron but they stayed put, i also signed randy foye with my MLE but, as happens for some reason in my game maybe it does in yours, he disappeared come the start of the season and magically appeared on another team, this has happened to me before when using the MLE during free agency and so i wont be doing that again, as i dont even get the MLE back after the player disappears!!

2010-2011 - First 10 game report: Record: 5-5

The Bulls never managed to re-reach the highs of opening night during the next 9 games and currently sit on a disappointing 5-5 record, comfortable back to back wins over New Jersey the hight point in what was an otherwise indifferent start to the season, 21 and 15 point losses to Toronto and Minnesota respectively were particularly disappointing. The pick of the games was the 2nd game of the season against Boston, where a Derrick Rose lay up with 6 seconds to go forced overtime, the Bulls faded away in OT however to lose by 7.

Leaders after 10 games(Have to qualify):

PPG: Derrick Rose - 14.8
RPG: Chris Bosh - 7.7
APG: Derrick Rose - 5.5
BPG: Chris Bosh - 1.5
SPG: Derrick Rose - 1.3
FG%: Shaquille O'Neal - 58.0%
3 PT%: Kyle Korver - 50.0%
FT%: Luol Deng - 100%
Mins: Chris Bosh - 315

Top performer through 10 games:

Kyle Korver - MPG 20.1, PPG 10.9, FG% 51.3, 3PT% 50.0 - Killer Korver has been fantastic off the bench for the Bulls thus far, providing pin point shooting at 23 for 46 from 3 point range, must be in the running for 6th man at this early stage.

Rookie watch:

Bart Murray - MPG 13.9, PPG 1.8, BPG 0.8, FG% 81.8 - The 21st overall pick looked lively on debut scoring 10 points on debut coupled with 2 blocks, has recieved limited minutes so far but may get more of a chance over the next 10 game stretch.

Bulls deal Thomas to Timberwolves for Richardson, teams swap draft picks

ImageImage

It was no secret that Tyrus Thomas wanted to be traded away from the Chicago Bulls, despite signing a new 4 year deal worth around $17M at the end of last season Thomas was unhappy at the lack of minutes he was getting with the Bulls and eventually got his wish today as he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Quentin Richardson, draft picks were also exchanged in the deal which is detailed below...

Timberwolves get:

- F/C Tyrus Thomas
- Chicago Bulls 2011 1st round draft pick
- Memphis Grizzlies 2011 2nd round draft pick

Bulls get:

- G/F Quentin Richardson
- Minnesota Timberwolves 2011 1st round draft pick

Bulls GM Jonny Schofield had this to say: 'We made the trade because Tyrus was unhappy with his spot in the rotation, we don't want to keep unhappy players here against their wishes and so we started to look at possible trades. We traded him to Minnesota because we felt there were benefits to come with the deal, first of all we got another shooter to come of the bench in Q-Rich, who is a guy who will deepen our backcourt rotation and can also provide back up at small forward, second of all it allowed us to move up in this years draft, as we expect our pick to be late first round this year wheras Minnesota's pick is currently projected to be the 7th overall'.

Hiatus Announcement

I have decided to take an indefinite hiatus from posting my dynasty story, my reason for this being the fact that the amount of time taken posting the dynasty story is having a detrimental effect on my enjoyment of the game NBA Live 10, furthermore it is just taking too much time and is beginning to impede on my real life, thanks to all who have posted kind things to me, i hold all posters on this forum in the highest regard.

Sorry to hear you'll be putting this aside but if it's starting to get in the way of your enjoyment then a break might be for the best. Hopefully you can come back to it with a more hands-on approach as you took in the Bucks game.

NBA Regular Season Game 12, United Center, Chicago IL.

Image

(6-6)Chicago Bulls 96 - 101 Los Angeles Clippers(6-6)

Bulls recover from poor start, still lose by 5

If the first five minutes of this game hadn't happened, the Bulls would have won it by 10, sadly for Vinny Del Negro's team the Clippers opening 17-2 run did happen and, despite a Bulls recovery, poor fourth quarter execution led to the Bulls record returning to the .500 mark. The Clippers shot the ball better on the night but good team defense from the Bulls meant the game, first 5 minutes aside, was a close run contest, however, from the point when Luol Deng hopelessly launched the ball out of bounds with the Bulls within 4 points late in the 4th, they never realistically had a chance, despite the likes of Hinrich and Deng making clutch buckets in the absence of the Chris Bosh who had fouled out earlier in the 4th. For the Clippers, Allen Iverson and Baron Davis combined for 48 points and what's more Davis, Griffin and Camby all double doubled in the win. Shaq once agin led the Bulls in scoring with 18, Hinrich and Korver added 16 apeice including a combined 6 for 12 from 3, but Derrick Rose continued to look in the Shadow of some of the big personalities added to the Bulls in the off season ie. Shaq, and was quiet throughout, it is believed by many he will need to take much greater control of the Bulls if they are to succeed this season. Chris Bosh still managed to fill up the stat sheet whilst in foul trouble with 8 points 6 rebounds 4 assists and 3 blocks, whilst Quentin Richardson went 0 for 5 from 3 on debut.

Game Leaders:

Points
-
Bulls (O'Neal 18, Hinrich 16, Korver 16)
Clippers (Iverson 24, Davis 24, Griffin 19)

Rebounds
-
Bulls (O'Neal 11, Bosh 6)
Clippers (Camby 13, Griffin 10)

Assists
-
Bulls (Rose 4, Bosh 4)
Clippers (Davis 10, Gordon 6)

Player of the game - Baron Davis(LAC) - 24 points, 4 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 blocks.

I too am glad to see you pick this one up, even if things haven't gone exactly to plan. I admire your efforts bouncing back from that start though, that game ended up closer than one would expect (but that's the Clippers for you ;)).

Next 10 game report to follow after the conclusion of the 20th game of the season.

From now on with this Dynasty I will only be re-capping the season for the whole NBA half way through(all-star break) and at the end of the season.

haha thanks dude, the raptors weren't so good as their starting 5 is effectively bosh out and farmar in this year so they were weaker

Cheers mate, yeah he does I enjoy the dynamic of he and shaq inside, they inevitbaly draw double teams later in games and then can kick it out to the likes of korver, hinrich, q-rich etc, thats why you see bosh assisting well in the match reports, whats more he gets great service from d-rose at the point
