"Wade Bags Triple-Double As Heat Top Sonics"

8-13Image @ Image14-6

Image
Wade (above) shaking off Jeff Green.

Miami, Florida (AP)- Todays game was more of a practice for Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat as they took apart the already terrible Seattle Supersonics 98-64.

Miami's defense seems to be getting much more of a pin for opponents as they compeltely shut down Durant and the rest of the Sonics. The Miami Heat held the Sonics to 38% shooting in the 1st, 35% shooting in the 2nd, 23% shooting in the 3rd and 28% shooting in the 4th. So really, Seattle's shooting was in a decline as the quarters went by.

Kevin Durant led his team in shooting with 17 points but was simply out numbered by Miami's starters and bench. Durant needed all the help he could get from his teammates- however, it seems as if his teammates were non-existent against the Miami defense. Jeff Green did what he could with 11 points and 11 rebounds giving him a double double on the night. Other key players included Earl Watson who had 8 points and 7 dimes and Nick Collison who had 6 points and 7 boards.

The Miami Heat continue to be one of the best teams in the league as they are slowly taking their offensive game to the next level. The Miami Heat shot 57% from the field off a 43 of 76 shooting night against the horrible Seattle defense. They had 16 steals and 4 blocks which indicates the tough defense Spoelstra has instilled in the team.

Dwyane Wade was the man of the hour as he had his first triple-double of the season. Wade had 30 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to go with 3 steals and a block on Durant that sent the ball into the stands! After the game, Wade stated that he didn't even know he had a triple double until his teammates and coach pointed it out to him. Other key performers included Beasley who had 17 points and 8 boards and Udonis Haslem who had 10 points and 9 boards.

::Nice Start::

In his office, Jon Fajardo began thinking about 19 games back when he wasn't sure of what he can do with the team. Now, at 14-7, the Miami Heat are 1st in their division and 2nd in their conference. As Jon began to smile at the fact that he put this group of guys together and instilled a scheme that has been wreaking havoc on most NBA team, Pat Riley walked in and congratulated Fajardo.

"Hey Jon, I just wanted to say nice start and that you're doing a great job with the team." Riley said. "Thanks a lot, Pat, that means a lot." Jon replied.

"You know, thats not the only reason I came here. I also came here to give you great news." Riley explained. Jon, a little confused was wondering what Riley had up his sleeves. "You see, I never told you this but when I passed down the position to you I decided to keep 30% ownership of the team." Jon looked on a bit worried at the fact that Riley didn't exactly trust Jon with the team. Riley continued, "But now, now that I see what you're capable of doing with this team, I feel as if it's my duty to step aside for good."

Jon looked on with a confused look, " Sir?" Riley said, "Jon, I'm giving you total control of the team. There's not strings attached, you have 100% control over what the team does." Jon was excited but didn't want to really show it. "Oh thank you sir. I promise we will get to the playoffs. It's all or nothing at this. I mean we're 1 win away from our win total from last year so expect us to be in the playoffs!"

"You're a good kid," Riley said. "Real good kid, I have faith in you. By the way, the team has taken a liking to you. They trust you and have put their season in your hands. Don't disappoint and you just might be here longer than you think."

Jon smiled.

"Well now Jon, I gotta go catch the plane outta here. I'm going to visit my nieces and nephews. We'll keep in touch though and I will be keeping up with what you're doing." The two men laughed and Riley left, leaving Jon to think of what 100% ownership really meant to him. As, he began to sit down again, Jon realized that he was living the life that he's been dreaming of for so many years.

Miami, Florida (AP)- In tonight's game we will feature a division rivalry as the Atlanta Hawks will look to take on the Miami Heat.

The Hawks are coming off a 101-93 loss to Dallas in which Mike Bibby scored 29 points and Joe Johnson scored 19. The Hawks will need everyone to step it up as the Miami Heat is a tough team to take down. That means, Johnson, Bibby, Smith and Horford will all need to play physical defense and make Miami work for every shot. Also, Atlanta will need to execute perfectly on offense because Miami's defense will eat them alive if they don't execute.

The Hawks will need to up their points per game in this one or at least keep Miami on their average if they have plans on winning this one in Miami. The Hawks average 87 points a game and allow 85 points a game, and that's if they play hard defense and crash the boards.

The Miami defense seems to be getting better and better every game. They now allow 82 points a game! This is all credited to Spoelstra's lock down no easy shot defense. If they can get their defense rolling early in the game, then it'd be just a matter of executing offensive plays for Miami. Dwyane Wade will for sure be a factor as he will be defending Joe Johnson. If the Hawks start Doleac (former Heat) then look for Miami to play Jermaine O'Neal early to beat him up in the post.

Miami is in charge of almost every stat against the Hawks and if those statlines hold up, I honestly don't see the Hawks having a very successful game. Remember Atlanta: PLAY DEFENSE! EXECUTE ON OFFENSE! And you should be fine. Assuming Wade has a sluggish night.

Hey guys just a quick statement before I start the game, I am in the process of going through different layouts until I find one that suits me so that's why you've seen like 3 different layouts. There might be more but I'm just letting you know what's going on.

Time to start that Atlanta game!

"Wade Leads Heat to Rout of Hawks"

10-12Image @ Image15-7

Image
Wade slams it in after shaking off defender.

Miami, Florida (AP)- Dwayne Wade yet again led his team to victory against the Atlanta Hawks as Miami won 96-77.

Atlanta had every opportunity to take the lead after a lead as much as 20 made by the Heat went down to as low as 1! However, Wade and the Heat were not prepared to give up the win at home. The Miami Heat shot 47% off 40 of 86 shooting and shot a season best 88% behind the charity line. And you best believe Dwyane Wade had something to do with every little attempt the Miami Heat made to keep Atlanta from catching up.

Wade had himself a double-double with 28 points and 11 assists to go with 5 steals giving him Player of the Game honors. Michael Beasley had to leave not ever a minute into the game due to a broken finger which he suffered as he went up for a rebound. Beasley did not return to the game. Fortunately, Wade had himself a supporting cast as Jermaine O'Neal had 17 points and 8 boards, Hakim Warrick had 14 points and Udonis Haslem had 10 points and 4 boards for Miami.

The Hawks were in a couple positions to take over the game. The only problem was that they could not find an answer for Dwyane Wade. The Hawks shot 36% from the field off of 31 of 87 shooting. The one thing that we said would kill the Hawks was turnovers. They had 17 of them! Defensively, the Hawks were solid in the first half as they had 6 blocks on then night.

Joe Johnson had a rough night as he went 0-10 before making his very first shot on the night. From then on it was a slow climb from a big slump as the Hawks slowly picked away at Miami's lead. They did get the lead down to one but again, Dwyane Wade was such a huge factor that it shot back up in an instant. Josh Smith and Al Horford both had decent games with Smith having 14 points and 8 boards and Horford adding 12 points and 9 rebounds of his own.

Beasley Out For 2 Weeks

Image
Beasley (above) will be out of the lineup for 25 days

Miami, Florida (AP)- A disturbing scene in Miami as Miami's star, Michael Beasley, was caught up fighting for a loose ball which ended in him breaking his finger. As seen above, Beasley was trying to outfight Bibby and Smith in which Beasley said he heard or felt a pop and immediately clenched his finger afterward. Now, after being diagnosed with a broken finger, Beasley will look to play minimal minutes and will not look to be 100% until 2 weeks or so from now.

Spoelstra has released that Beasley will be available for their home game against the Bucks just to see where he's at physically. However, no word has been given as to whether or not he will start.

Miami, Florida (AP)- The Milwaukee Bucks will have the hard task of trying to snag a win in Miami where Dwyane Wade and the Heat have already gotten more wins than they had last year.

Being led by Michael Redd, the Bucks are coming off a loss to the Pacers in which Redd scored 24. Redd will need help from Richard Jefferson, Charlie Villanueva and Andrew Bogut. If the starting 5 can set the tone early and force Miami to shoot 20+ jumpers, then I the Bucks can possibly pull off a win in Miami.

The Bucks are averaging around the same points the Heat are per game with 91.6. If they can keep that up and play hard physical defense, then it can pose a problem for Miami. Miami simply eats out opponents who allow more than their average in this case, the Bucks allow 99 points. If the Bucks want to be successfull, or at least not get blown out, they will need to control their defense and keep an eye on Dwyane Wade.

Wade has been on a tear as of late and it doesn't seem as if he will stop. Michael Beasley has been injured but as released by Spoelstra, it looks as if Beasley WILL play tonight and will in the starting line-up. Jermaine O'Neal and Udonis Haslem will be key factors in this game as they will be guarding and playing against Villanueva and Bogut.

Miami's defense is absolutely perfect this season. They average 10 steals and 5 blocks a game all thanks to Spoelstr'as coaching staff. No doubt Miami's defense will be a huge factor here. Milwaukee averages 91 points and Miami's defense allows 82. So the outcome of this game will ride on Miami's defense.

"Heat Rally to Beat Bucks"

9-17Image @ Image17-7

Image 73-82 Image

Miami, Florida (AP)- The Milwaukee Bucks were the only team (under .500) that gave Miami a run for their money. Unfortunately they couldn't capitalize on given opportunites as the Miami Heat beat the Bucks 82-73.

The Bucks did one thing right: they kept Miami under 90 points! Miami was struggling and working for shots as the Bucks' defense abused the Heat offense. They forced Miami to shoot 43% from the field on 34 of 80 shooting. If the Buck's needed anything to win this game it was forsure bench production. Miami had 31 points off the bench against the Bucks' 17 points. The Bucks offense was a mediocre bunch as they shot just 37% from the field.

Richard Jefferson led his team in points with 17 and added 6 boards and 6 assists. Charlie Villanueva was hot from every where on the floor but just couldn't really help his team as the Miami Heat were just too much to handle. Villanueva had a double double night with 14 and 10. Michael Redd was on lockdown by Wade and Cook as they held him to a mere 13 points on 4 of 14 shooting. Ramon Sessions had a team high of 7 assists.

This was probably one of the Heat's worst offensive games in awhile as they struggled a lot in the early going. Their defense seemed to be a no show as the Bucks were in firm position to take over the game over several occasions. At one point, the Bucks got the lead down to one and also took to the lead in the 3rd. But Wade and the high powered offense kicked it into 4th quarter gear and came right back. The Heat shot a season best 93% behind the free throw line and forced 13 steals and 8 blocks.

Wade stuggled through most of the quarters until the 4th came around in which he scored 15 of his 25 points in the 4th. The Miami Heat were without Morrison for undisclosed reasons, so James Jones was the starter and Beasley played through his broken finger from the bench. James Jones scored 8 points to go with 2 assists/rebounds and 3 steals and Beasley scored 8 points to go with 3 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks. Jamaal Magloire had 10 points and 9 boards and Haslem has 8 points and 11 boards as they both were close to a double double. This was the only game in which Miami didn't have a player with 5+ assist as Dwyane Wade had the team high with 4.

More Trade Talks Spark in Miami: Frye, a Heat?

Image
Channing Frye (above) is a toss-up in Miami.

Miami, Florida (AP)- The 17-7 Miami Heat are doing great this season as oppose to their counterparts last year. However, it seems GM Jon Fajardo and the Miami Heat need more.

That's where the 6'11", 248lb Channing Frye comes in. Frye could be the center Miami has been looking for. With Jermaine O'Neal and Magloire being the only two solid centers on the roster, the Miami heat could look to go even younger next year. Frye is only averaging 8.4 minutes in Portland and if elected to go to Miami can see a whole lot of playing time possibly behind Jermaine O'Neal.

Frye has stated that after this season he might want to test the free agency market, so the Heat are looking to change that assuming they land him. The trade, however, might not go through till 2 or so weeks from now as Frye is currently injured with a broken finger. If Miami decides to pursue this trade they will look to get Frye healthy and Beasley healthy all around the same time.

The Blazers are looking for a Small Forward so look for Miami to send a either Morrison or Jones along with another player. Considering GM Fajardo's liking to Jones I wouldn't be surprised to see Morrison go as there have been talks of trading Morrison (who the Heat acquired early in the season) away.

More on this will be covered as soon as more info has been given.

East Rutherford, New Jersey(AP)- Vince Carter and New Jersey Nets will have their hands fill as they will look to defend their home against the red hot Miami Heat.

The New Jersey Nest are fresh off a win against the Dallas Mavericks in which they won the game 100-80. This should give them some type of momentum heading into their home game against the Miami Heat who have been great this season.

The New Jersey Nets have a pretty decent defense considering the fact that there bigs consists of young players or players that aren't simply good enough. If the Nets can play defense like Milwaukee did and score some point, I see the Nets beating the Heat at home. However, defense isn't the only thing that'll save them. If they can keep Wade from scoring 20+ tonight then the victory is as good as theirs.

Vince Carter will need to lead his team against Miami and take this game over. He can't allow Wade to score over him because when Wade draws the double team, it allows other players to get involved and the Miami Heat have an excellent shooting squad behind Wade. Devin Harris will need to be at the top of his game and he will need to use his veteran instincts to work Mario Chalmers who is a great perimeter defender.

The Miami Heat were lucky Wade got things going in their last meeting with the Bucks because the Bucks were fighting for their lives! Now, they have a much more unique team in New Jersey that they have to face and it wont be an easy task if Carter and Harris can get things going. If Miami can attack the Nets' bigs and make them protect the paint, then Miami has this game easy.

Dwyane Wade will once again lead his team to a win which will give him 19 on the season. Beasley will be playing in tonights game, however, his minutes are yet to be determined. Adam Morrison will look to play tonight but as a bench player for James Jones who will be the starter in tonights game. Also, look for Miami to go to Jermaine O'Neal and Udonis Haslem early to get a feel for the bigs.

I'm not trading for Frye at all, that post was just to spice up the association. If i do make any changes, I would look for a younger center who is defensive minded rather offensively minded.

"Wade Lead Heat in Late Comeback Win Over Nets"

19-7Image @ Image10-16

Image 107-105 Image

East Rutherford, New Jersey (AP)- This was one hell of a game in which New Jersey really took it to Miami the entire game. Unfortunately, Miami won the game 107-105 in a down to the last second 4th quarter.

Dwyane Wade was on the bench as he saw his team go down by 15 at most in the 4th. As soon as Spoelstra called his name, Wade was ready. Wade scored 20 of his 31 points in the 4th as he helped Miami pick away at New Jerseys 15 point lead. Miami, for the first time, struggled obtaining a lead as they couldn't get their lead beyond 5. And if hey got close, Vince Carter and the Nets were ready to attack back.

At one point The Heat went on a 14-2 run. After that, New Jersey went on a crazy 18-5 run to counter attack Miami. Fortunately for Miami, key players like Hakim Warrick and Jermaine O'Neal stepped up big time. Warrick scored Miami's last 10 points in the 3rd to bring the game to within 5 with New Jersey leading.

Devin Harris and Vince Carter led the team to an almost perfect game against the Heat. 5 players scored in double figures as New Jersey showed no sign of giving up. The Nets took Miami down to the stretch and made Miami gasp on a couple of plays. Miami had big problems getting rebound as New Jersey snagged 17 offensive boards (with 4 of them happening in one play).

In the end however, Dwyane Wade got his flash on and put an end to New Jerseys plan on ruining Miami's win streak.

East Rutherford, New Jersey(AP)- The Miami Heat are looking for win number 21 to add to their 6 game winning streak as they will look to take on the Chicago Bulls.

Wade, who we all know, was a Chicago native would love to play against the Bulls. After his clutch performance back in New Jersey and coming off a win against the Warriors, Wade will look to lead his team yet again against the talented Chicago Bulls.

The Miami Heat have slowly gotten back to their inside-outside game and fortunately for them it hasn't messed anything up within the rosters. Miami will need the help of their defense in order to keep Ben Gordon and the Chicago Bulls down. That means key players, like Warrick, O'Neal, Morrison and Jones, will all need to step it up a notch as the Bulls have no problem running the ball and scoring at will.

The Bulls offense is superb. They have a stacked offensive squad and Ben Gordon who can shooot from just about anywhere on the floor. Wade will definately have his hands full against Gordon. Hinrich will be the anchor man for the Bulls as he has been having a great season averaging 16 points and 6 assists a game.

The Bulls will need to play some hard defense against the Heat as it's going to take a lot to bring a team like the Miami Heat down. The Bulls allow 91 points a game which is a big no no against a team like Miami. It would be best for the Bulls to foul and get rough but Miami has been shooting excellent from the line lately so it just wouldn't help.

In all, the Bulls high powered offense will be tested against the Heat's "San Andreas" lock down defense. If the Bulls can score and play defense, they can stand a chance to end Miami's 6 game winning streak, but if Wade and the Miami Heat get things rolling on the offensive and defensive side then I guess another team will take a crack at ending Miami's streak.

GM Fajardo Looking for Veteran Point?

Image
Alston could be heading to South Beach

Miami, Florida (AP)- The Miami Heat have been on a tear as of late and GM Fajardo has been easily the fan favorite here in South Beach.

However, the GM now has another option of bringing in a veteran point guard. That guard: Rafer Alston. Alston hasb een bounced around the league going to Toronto to Houston and to Orlando. The 6'2" guard out of Fresno State is quick and can defend the ball which is something Spoelstra has been looking for. The combo of Wade and Alston is one a lot of teams will have to fear if this in deed goes through.

Alston is averaging 12 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 5.4 APG and 1.5 SPG. He has 2 years left on his contract and has been said to have a liking to Miami.

As far as packaging goes... Miami would look to send off Jamaal Magloire (C), Chris Quinn (PG) and Yakhouba Diawara (SF) to Orlando, and in return they'll receive, Rafer Alston (PG) and big man veteran defender, Adonal Foyle (C).

If GM Fajardo is serious about this trade, then this trade could be available within a matter of days. This would boost up Miami's defense and put a little hole in their offense.

More on this trade as soon as more info is available.
