If you can tell me what he could add to our game, maybe he will gain some minutes. I usually give minutes to every player, but Solomon Jones is a cool youngster and rookie, so I prefer him over Batista.

He could add rebounds and strength, also he´s a somophore so he have time to improve his game.

It is the D-Wade show
Miami Heat 104 , Atlanta Hawks 100

Atlanta, Nov. 18th(AP) -- Dwyane Wade pours in 41, grabs 7 boards and steals it 4 times to seal the deal for the Heat.

The Atlanta Hawks were not able to beat the struck Miami Heat in what deserves the name of an exiting and close game. The Hawks had a brave start and played better basketball in the 1st quarter than the Heat. Shaquille O`Neal got into foul trouble early after two personal fouls when he tried to help out a beaten defender. The Hawks´ Josh Childress who has not been very satisfied with his performances so far scored 6 points in the first with quick drives to the hoop. Joe Johnson hit the open jumper to give the Hawks a two point lead at the end of quarter number one. The Heat showed a lack of creativity without a low post threat like Shaq. Dwyane Wade tried everything to keep the Heat in the game. His drives and his short jumper kept the Heat alive. He had 17 points in the first half. But the Hawks still led by by a 6 point margin. In the second half Wade decided to take over the game. He scored 8 points in a row to give the Heat a two point lead. But the Hawks bounced back. Marvin Williams hit a short jumper and Joe Johnson scored 4 points to bring the Hawks back. At this stage of the game a Dwyane-Wade-point took turn with a Joe-Johnson-point and the other way around. But the Heat were able to take a 5 point lead into the last quarter. Atlanta was on fire in the 4th. With 6:14 to go they were on a 13-4 run and led by one. But Dwyane Wade did not want to loose and just kept doing his thing. "He was just incredible today, that is what makes a superstar in this league. I think the Hawks have a potential star in Joe (Johnson) and when he has developed they could go the same way the Heat took", Marv Albert said. He slammed over Marvin Williams and hit two long jumpers to give the Heat a 7 point lead which was only shortened by a three by Joe Johnson at the end. But the Heat took it, 104-100 and celebrated their first road win. Wade scored incredible 41 points and kept his upgoing trend alive. The Hawks lost their second consecutive and hope to shake things up in the next game, just against the Pistons in the Palace on November 22nd.

November, 22nd

Two consecutive losses vs two of the best teams in the East and now the third dominating team in the East, the Detroit Pistons. Sounds quite tough for the Atlanta Hawks who wanted at least one win out of these three. The Pistons without Ben Wallace this season have changed their face. From the tough defending team to the offensive threat. They still defend nicely though. But Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton were again able to improve and form maybe the best backcourt of the legue, of the East for sure. And with Rasheed Wallace they also have a post player who is able to power his way through. His variability is quite important for the Pistons. And Tayshaun Prince is their allround weapon. The bench players are also very good but the bench is only thin manned. The key for the Hawks is to develope their offense and to limit turnovers. Against the inside forces Wallace or Mohammed they need to shoot the ball well. Newly acquired Voshon Lenard (see below) could bring help here. But the Pistons are on a nice run with 2 wins and there is not many speaking for the Hawks in this one. They have not dominated on the road, the only win vs the Sixers was quite lucky.
"I think the key is teamplay. The Pistons play very well as a team. They always have 5 players on the court that can contribute. They work for their points and pass the ball a lot. We need to do the same and the coach said us how to do it", Joe Johnson said yesterday. So we look forward to a very physical game tonight. Tip-Off will be on 7:30 p.m. @The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit.

The Atlanta Hawks today announced the signing of free agent Voshon Lenard. The 33-year old guard agreed to a one-year deal yesterday which will bring him about 2.8M $. Lenard is a well known shooter. He won the 2004 Threepointcontest and shoots .384% from downtown through his 10 years in the NBA. After a season of injuries he was traded from the Nuggets to the Trail Blazers and later waived by the Blazers. The Hawks need a guard who can hit the three and decided on Lenard. He is said to be very happy to have found a team and to be in a good shape after several workouts.

A way bigger deal was also sealed today. The Denver Nuggets and the Philadelphia 76ers have reached an agreement on a deal which sends Allen Iverson to the Nuggets in exchange for Andre Miller and Joe Smith. Iverson was not satisfied with the situation of the 76ers and the Nuggets were happy to acquire him. With Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson they now have two top scorers in their lineup.

Ah I missed some great stuff here.

Too bad you lost to Heat, but that main photo is awesome, Shelden Williams looks like a monster :o

Its good taht you dbf edited AI trade, its more realistic. And Lenard could be very useful at 3 pointers. You lost 2 last games against strong teams and it would be no shame losing to Pistons, but try to grab the victory.

Sat Dec 23, 2006 2:58 am

Oh I missed a little bit, damn... You're not looking pretty good, but I really like the jerseys in the main pic against Heat... I'm glad you achieved that A.I. trade, but won't it make any dbf shit damage to you??

Sat Dec 23, 2006 8:35 pm

Marquis, thx, ye I also thought it would be way cooler to have AI @ the Nuggets, in live I think they will be a contender now. Pistons are a strong team, I hope I can make something happen against them.

Pursuer, thank you, I do not think it will cause any damage, and anyways I have sooo many backups you cant imagine ;)

Hawks steal win from Mo-Town
Atlanta Hawks 101, Detroit Pistons 96
Image
Detroit, Nov. 22nd(AP) -- Hawks play like a team and beat the Pistons on the road.

The Atlanta Hawks were finally able to grab a win out of the three tough consecutive games. After losses against the Cavs and the Heat the Hawks went into the Pistons-game highly motivated. "You come into the Palace and the fans are booing. You know you have to work hard here to make something happen and I think we did quite well today", Joe Johnson said. He had 7 points and 5 assists in the first half with the focus on passing the ball since he was doubled most of the game. The Hawks began strongly and were able to grab a suprising 17-point lead after the first quarter. Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton were again very strong and combined for 20 points in the first half, but the Hawks did a good job inside to keep them away from the basket. After two quarters the Hawks led by 20 points and had 6 players scoring 5 points and more. Josh Smith led them all with 11 points and Speedy Claxton added 9. After the half the Pistons made a bigger effort to get the win. They came out on fire and especially Billups hit one jumper after another, some of them heavily contested. "Maybe we did not really take them serious enough right from the start, we did better later, but just too late", Flip Saunders said. The Hawks were still able to keep up although they had to take 32 points in the 3rd. They still led by eight and showed some great hustle plays in the 4th. When Tayshaun Prince had to leave the court with his 6th foul the Pistons were shocked for some minutes. The Hawks used their chance and worked their way inside for some easy baskets. Josh Childress was a main factor wth his boost off the bench. Joe Johnson did a great job of finding his team mates and showed that he is not only a scorer with 11 assists. "When you defend him hard he is still able to find open looks for his colleagues, he is such a good player already", Mike Woodson said. The Hawks grabbed the win and are now 4-5.
The next game will be against the Raptors in two days at home. A revenge for the loss in Toronto should be possible after such a win.

.Dee., thx, yes Pistons backcourt is really strong, but I think on defense I did a good job contesting their shots everytime.

Scorer--20, thanks man :) well Sheed is getting older, I decreased his ratings before starting this, if you look at him in real life he is not that productive these days.
And thx for your advice, I dled the Atlantic update ;)

Aircam, thank you, keep passing by every now and then :)

Tue Dec 26, 2006 12:29 am

Oh man, what a win... It looked you had not much chances against such a team, but you did an actually great job. The bench was outstanding, I don't remember such big performance... Make a streak after this one, get your team back up...

November, 24th

The Toronto Raptors visit the Atlanta Hawks tonight. At the moment the Raptors are the league´s weakest team with a 2-10 record. And the Hawks are very self-confident after a strong win over the second best team of the East, the Pistons. The Raptors season is still quite careworn. After they had to pass on Fred Jones who had a finger injury and was out for 5 games, they now have to do without newly acquired Michael Olowokandi. The "Kandiman" played 33 minutes in his debut for the Raptors vs the Cavaliers when he collided with Zydrunas Ilgauskas and landed on his knee. he will be out for this year with a broken bone in his foot. "We really appreciated his signing as a backup for (Nesterovic) and/or (Bosh) and now he will be done for the year, that is such a bad luck for us", Bryan Colangelo explained. Their only positive factor is the development of Chris Bosh into a NBA superstar. Bosh scored 30 points or more in the last four games and leads the league in rebounds with 12.7 per game. But despite his great performances lately the Raptors were not able to win these games. Like vs the Lakers when he put up 38 points and 13 rebounds. Or yesterday at home vs the Cavaliers. Where he scored 34 of the team´s 71 points. "It is a bit dispiriting at the moment, but I think we can get out of this situation when we have everyone being fit", Bosh says. Hopefully he will be right so we can see the last Canadian team shaking up the league ....
Tip-Off will be at 10:30 p.m. from Atlanta.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Seattle Sonics have agreed on a deal sending Danny Fortson of the Supersonics to Cleveland in exchange for Scott Pollard. Fortson´s trade is bearable for the Sonics with Chris Wilcox playing great. Also he did only stand out with his hard style of playing and a lot of flagrant fouls (league leading next to Mardy Collins). The Cavs think this is exactly what they need in their run for a title.

Wed Dec 27, 2006 2:37 am

At the moment it looks like Raptors are hopeless and don't have any chances on winning. You should use the situation and make this an easy one. Good luck!

Wed Dec 27, 2006 8:56 pm

I think it is a great win at Detroit, because it is very hard to win there and you played like a team, the bench contributed very well.

Now it is a must win game, because Raptors look so weak here and you must take the opportunity and grab the 5th victory

Hawks overcome CB4´s effort to grab the win
Toronto Raptors 110 , Atlanta Hawks 122

Atlanta, Nov. 24th(AP) -- Chris Bosh had another career game in a dispiriting loss against the Hawks.

This time it was extremely bitter for the Raptors and for one person in special. Chris Bosh is developing into a superstar this season and was again the best player on the court. But the Raptors could not come up with the win. For the 7th time in a row. With Chris Bosh scoring 20+ in each of this games. Topping his career high two times and tying it once. But they lost. And that is what must make him thinking about the whole situation. Is it just bad luck? Or are the Raptors maybe just too weak to make something happen in this league. At the game: Bosh scored another career-high pouring in 40 this time against the Hawks. Last game vs the Hawks he scored 38, vs the Lakers he tied this career-high again. But the Raptors had so many problems defensively in the first halftime. Joe Johnson scored at will and had 18 points in only 18 minutes in the first half. Marvin Williams had 9 and grabbed 6 rebounds and the others were able to connect since the ball movement by the Hawks was very good and the Raptors rotation was too slow. Bosh had 24 points at this point of the game but the Raptors already trailed by 18.
After the break the Hawks took it more slowly and fell back a bit but the Raptors were never able to tie the game. TJ Ford had a very good game scoring 30 points. He is the only one to help Chris Bosh at the moment. The injury-plagued Raptors tried to get it done with these two players, but the Hawks remained focused on the defensive end and were able to force turnovers. Speedy Claxton had a season-high 13 assists and controlled the offense of the Hawks. Tyronne Lue gave a nice boost off the bench and hit two threes in a row in the middle of the 4th quarter to give the Hawks an 18 point lead again. Josh Childress added 7 off the bench but did not hit one shot from the field. He was 7-8 from the stripe though. The Raptors were kinda blown out and the question is if they can improve and start a streak or they will maybe end as the weakest team at the end of November. Chris Bosh stays focused and shows a KG-type attitude:"We have a crisis right now. But we need to stay focused and wrk hard. I know we can fight back and I think I am in the shape to help this team to become a winning team". The Hawks are .500% now and will head over to Orlando in their next game. They want to underline their playoff claim there.

ImageHow about Chris Bosh: 40 points, 15 rebounds, 4 blocks, 15-23 FG and 8-10 FT.
ImageHawks´ bench outscored the Raptors´ bench 44-16.
ImageHawks went to the line 43 times, Raptors only 23 times.
ImageHawks had 29 assists but only 9 turnovers.

Oh man, Bosh is killin' ya... How many games do you have against Toronto left? 2 or 1...Though good you won, amazing first quarter, the team-game and bench production was very very useful. Looks like your getting up... Good luck!
