Because god doesn't like the state of California.

Good luck to you Matin.
Just curious though, why didn't Flash or Meka take home team MVP? Their numbers seem better across the board.

Well you see, I didn't only weigh in their stats, but their season in general, and Wade has really struggled this season, Mek has been good, but Spree has carried the team eveytime we've been strugging, and he supplies leadership and inspiration to the rest of the team, that's why I decided Spree deserved Player Of The Year honours.

Image It's All Over Folks...

The Championship has been decided, and coming winning out of it was...

THE CHARLOTTE BOBCATS!!!

The bobcats have beaten the Mavericks 4-3, Latrell Sprewell hit the deciding bucket with 0.6 to go in regulation when the 'Cats were down by 1... "It was an amazing feeling, I did what I set out here to do", Spree said after the game. The series were an ongoing battle all the way, the biggest win was in game two were the Mavs won it by 5... It took game seven in Dallas and one touch of some Latrell magic to seperate these two teams.

"I still can't believe this - Zydrunas Ilgauskas

"There is truly magic in the air" - Lorenzen Justice

"I'm really happy we were able to cap of this great season with a championship, and I'm also incredibly happy for Latrell, finnaly getting a ring after all this time and such a brilliant career" - Dwayne Wade

"I'm speechless! I don't know what to say" - That was what owner ang General Manager Matin Haso had to say about this accomplishment.

Image
A very happy post-game Emeka Okafor was later named Finals MVP for the playoffs, he played very well throughout the playoffs...
18.4 ppg, 10.7 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.25 spg and 3.7 bpg

Now the Bobcats are facing a challenging offseasonwith alot of key guys are becoming free agents, amongst those guys are Emeka Okafor, Eddie Griffin and Latrell Sprewell...

The big question will be if Latrell now with the championship we wanted all along feels his journey has come to an end, or does he still have more to give?

And if he decides to pack it in, who can fill that void? Will Mr.Haso be able to lure 5 time Allstar, MIP(05-06), NBA first team three conscutive years and two time Finals MVP Jerry Stackhouse to join the Bobcats? And will Mike Bibby want to give up his crown for a possible ring?

Lots to talk about regarding this offseason, so join Charlotte Hornet greats Mugsy Bogues, Larry Johnson with Charlotte commentator, expert and former assistant coach Gary Brokaw to adress these issues in this years addition of "The Roundtable".

Next up on Bobcat TV is The Roundtable

Image The Roundtable

Hi everyone! I'm Gary Brokaw, I'm joined here today by two Hornet greats, Muggsy Bogues and Larry Johnson to discuss the offseason for the World Champs Charlotte Bobcats.

Gary: Well the biggest thing of course is the cinderella story of the Charlotte Bobcats building a solid franchise in the last 4 years and now stunned the whole league with the Championship.

Tyrone (muggsy): Yeah, but the staff of this team have done an amazing job of putting this team together, especially bringing in Latrell Sprewell who has been the glue in this team, holding them together.

Larry: Yeah and the mix between old veterand, middle veterans and young guys is great to see.

Gary: Yeah it really is, but now that we tiyched the subject of "mr.glue" Latrell Sprewell, if he now decides to call it quits, how will the club manage without him?

Larry: Well I don't think the question really lies with the team, the staff need to bring in a new better, experienced body if you want a shot of repeating this performance, the addition of Jerry Stackhouse would be great, but another enquiry comes up there... How much are they willing to sacrifice to get him?

Tyrone: I really think they should just go for it, you have to give to recieve you know, and you need another go-to gu playing nest to Flash for them to bring out the best in him, the performance he put in this year was kind of a dissapointment. Even though their now the champs.

Gary: The rest of the Free Agents then? Who should the Bobcats push to keep?

Larry: I think Steven Hunter and Eddie Griffin and Emeka Okafor are th foundation of the FA's this year, them along with Samuel Dalembert will be the rising frontcourt for Charlotte in the coming years.

Tyrone: What about Dajuan and Travis? Why shouldn't they get to stay?

Larry: That's not what I'm saying, but they haven't turned nearly as many heads as Hunter Griffin and Okafor has, their unconsistent in their play.

Gary: So in conclusion they could all stay and ya'll wouldn't mind?

Tyrone: Not at all, their all great guys and solid players.

Larry: Yeah they are, but I'm looking forward to seeing some aquisitions this offseason though.

Gary: More than just a swingman?

Larry: Yeah I would actually like to see a new PG come in, like Mike Bibby or Damon Stoudamire which Matin showed interest in.

Tyrone: I'll second that!

Gary: But won't that tear the team chemistry apart?

Tyrone: That is a possibility, but since this is a crusial offseason ou need to shuffle the lineup, if you don't do anything to make up the losses of the key guys not remaining in the team, you can't expect to compete for a repeat.¨

Larry: That is absolutelty true man!

Gary: Well there you have it, straight from basketball experts Larry Johnson and Tyrone "Muggsy" Bogues, I'm Gary Brokaw, we'll be checking back with you when the offseason signings and trades begin to flourish. For now, so long from Bobcat TV!
