[quote="killer_cr0ss0ver"ei bullsman006 what program are you using on that video?[/quote]first of all, it's bullsfan, not bullsman  but they're not videos, but animated gifs. What you do is when a really good play happens, pause the game and go to Instant Replay, and take a screenshot every few frames for the entire play. These screenshots get saved as .tga files in the NBA LIVE 2000/Screenshots folder. So next, they have to be converted to .gif files. For that I use a freeware program called Irfanview, which is a really good one because it does batch conversions. Finally, I use the program Microsoft GIF Animator to put the .gifs together into an animated .gif! :)

And to everyone, I'm sorry but I didn't read any of your suggestions until this morning. Over the weekend I already did a trade and played some more games too. I did Eddie Jones + Dan Gadzuric for Grant Hill + Bryce Drew, because I wanted it to be more fair (I thought getting Cato was too much, even though the Magic would have accepted the deal).

I also played one more game + the All-Star game before I did the trade, so I have a lot of games piled up to post. Lemme get started...

Game 20: Minnesota Timberwolves (5-8) @ Milwaukee Bucks (11-8)

MIL 103, MIN 96

Riding A Cushion To Victory- After Building Up 20+ Point Lead, Bucks Outlast T-Wolves

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN- After playing perhaps their best first half of the season, the Milwaukee Bucks were able to hold off a late Minnesota rally to coast past the Timberwolves last night at the Bradley Center.
 Minnesota’s Gary Payton opened the game with a 3-pointer, but those 3 points were quickly buried by a Milwaukee 9-0 run. The Bucks later built their lead up to 19-11 as they controlled the tempo early on. Their point guard, Nate Robinson, played brilliantly, scoring 9 points and adding 5 assists in the period  . But Minnesota’s Kevin Garnett answered, scoring 10 points on 5-for-7 shooting. It was the start of a very long night for his defender, Dwight Howard, and the T-Wolves crept to within 5 points by the end of the first quarter, 29-24.
 The Bucks played even better in the second quarter, seemingly determined to put away the Timberwolves before the first half. They scored 33 points on 61% shooting, hit 2 of 5 three pointers, dished out 9 assists, and only committed 1 turnover in the quarter. Coach Terry Porter was pleased :proud: , to say the least. Since his team held Minnesota to just 20 points in the quarter, it meant a huge 18-point, 62 to 44 lead at the half. It was a picture perfect one for the Bucks, who had a mind-boggling 6 to 1 assist to turnover ratio (18 to 3) to that point.
 The third quarter saw the Bucks extend their lead to 22 with 9:01 left, up 66-44. But the Timberwolves were obviously fed up of being embarrassed, and went on a remarkable 24-10 run in the next 6 minutes. Kevin Garnett was dominating Howard, absolutely taking him to school. He didn’t miss in the 3rd, going 5 for 5. With 2:54 to play in the 3rd, the T-Wolves had pulled to within 8 points with the score being 76-68, and got as close as 6 before the Bucks put a run of their own together to close the quarter up 13 points. Dwyane Wade got into a rhythm with his jumper, nailing 4 of 8 attempts, which helped make up for the suddenly cold hand of Robinson, who made only 1 of his 7 field goal attempts in the period  .
 In the fourth quarter, the Timberwolves had to play with desperation to try to make up their deficit. The Bucks ideally wanted to extend their lead, but ended up having to fight just to maintain it because of Minnesota’s energy. With Garnett smoking on his way to another 13 points in the quarter (he finished with 35  ), the Wolves came to within 4 points with 3:50 left, at 93-89.
 Just then, when the Bucks needed a big lift, Dwyane Wade gave them one. He drove in the lane and dunked hard on Eddie Griffin. After the Wolves threw the ball back in, Wade stole the ball from Gary Payton in the backcourt, and threw down a 2-handed, 360 degree dunk! The Bucks fans went crazy, as did the bench. That burst gave the team a nice 97-89 cushion with 3:35 left, and the momentum they needed to pull out the victory.
 Minnesota’s rally was splintered. They never got within 4 points again, and fell by a 103-96 score. Their underachieving record of 5-8 worsened to 5-9, while the Bucks improved to 12-8 on the year.

GAME NOTES
Dwight Howard was burned by Kevin Garnett for 35 points and 10 rebounds, while being held to 11 points and 7 boards. He commented after the game on his experience: “I think I’m going to have nightmares tonight…he was talking to me every time he did something…

Jumper: “in your eye!”
Dunk: “in your grill!- how did that taste?”
Rebound: “gimme these!”
Blocked shot: “get that $#%& outta here!”

KG! KG! Too much Big Ticket! The guy dominated me today, he’s on a different level right now. That’s ok though, we won the game, and I’m going to get to AT LEAST his level one day…

I checked it a few times last week, but you hadn't updated it for a while...I'll check it out in a few minutes. Yeah, I agree- we old Live peoples must stick together :)

EDIT: oh, I was just checking your Live 2004 one, which you still haven't updated...are you done with that Dynasty?

Diogo wrote:Great win dude, your team are ("are" right? Or should I put "is" here?) really good and the PGs are doing a great job.
put "is" because "team" is singular. That's tricky, I know, because a team consists of many players, but still you're only talking about 1 team, as a whole. So use "is." As long as you keep working at it, and talking in the forum in english, you'll master it in no time. Already, I don't have any problems understanding you right now...

and yes, the PGs are doing very well for me right now: Robinson & Udrih get about equal playing time, and both usually make the most of their minutes.

ALL-STAR GAME

EAST 107, WEST 105
East Come Out on Top- Howard Named MVP

THE NBA ALL-STAR GAME- The annual NBA All-Star game occurred last night, and fans all over the world tuned in to see their favorite players go head-to-head on center stage. In the end, they got a good show.
 The game started off with a typical All-Star game pace: high paced, with lots of scoring, and not much defense being played. Led by Zydrunas Ilgauskas's active rebouding and the solid play of Dwyane Wade and Dwight Howard, the East held a 35-32 lead after one quarter of play.
 In the second, the All-Stars looked more like Bench-Warmers  - they had lots of trouble scoring. The East struggled in particular- shooting less than 30% en route to only scoring 13 points in the quarter. The West were able to get to the free throw line, and put up 24 points, to hold an 8-point advantage at the half.
 The third quarter saw both clubs pick it up again offensively, and some individuals started to perform better. Dwight Howard was very active underneath, and the East also was seeing some good production from Ron Artest, Kirk Hinrich, Stephen Jackson, and Emeka Okafor. LeBron James was all over the boards, on his way to a 16-rebound night. The West was getting a pretty balanced attack, but in particular Dirk Nowitzki and Tracy McGrady were leading the way for them. Heading into the fourth and final period, the score was WEST 79, EAST 73.
 Things got really interesting in the fourth. The East went with a lineup of Kirk Hinrich at the 1, Dwyane Wade at the 2, LeBron James at the 3, Emeka Okafor at the 4, and Dwight Howard at the 5. Okafor and Howard were defensive beasts in the paint, and LeBron was swooping in from great heights to grab many rebounds. This combination kept the game close, and then a series of events turned the game into one controlled by the East: With less than 2 minutes left, LeBron grabbed a rebound, and made a long overhead pass to a streaking Dwight Howard for the jam, plus a foul. Then, on the next East possession, James cut to the rim, and dunked hard. This gave the East the lead, and they held on to win by 2, 107-105.

GAME NOTES
Dwight Howard of the Milwaukee Bucks was named the game's Most Valuable Player for his efforts for the Eastern Conference team: 23 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 11-for-18 shooting.

Game #21: Los Angeles Lakers (7-9) @ Milwaukee Bucks (12-8)

LAL 111, MIL 101

Bucks Fall Apart In 2nd Half- Watch 12 Point Lead Become 10-Point Loss in 2 Quarters

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN- The Milwaukee Bucks blew a commanding first half lead last night to the visiting Los Angeles Lakers, a struggling team that entered with a 7-9 record. The Lakers looked like their record indicated in the first halt, being dominated by a quick and strong Bucks attack featuring the newly acquired Grant Hill, along with Dwyane Wade and Nate Robinson.
 The Bucks had 4 blocks and 5 steals in the first quarter alone, and built up a 24-12 lead. Vlade Divac, starting in place of the traded Dan Gadzuric, had 5 rebounds in the period, while Robinson was everywhere with 7 points, 3 assists, and 4 steals.
 In the second quarter the Lakers made a little run, cutting Milwaukee’s lead to 6, but the Bucks quickly pushed their advantage back into double digits. Beno Udrih came off the bench and controlled the tempo very well in what was the most efficient quarter of the game for the Bucks- 8 assists versus just 1 turnover. And Hill was playing like a superstar, nailing swift jumpers in the face of whichever Laker dared to guard him, and also blowing by his man to wreak havoc in the paint. Reserve Melvin Ely also played very well for Milwaukee, contributing 12 points and 3 rebounds on 4-for-5 shooting.
 At halftime, it looked like it was going to be a fairly easy victory for the Bucks, but the Lakers had no such thoughts. They stormed out of the gates in the third quarter. Point guard Troy Hudson hit a 3-pointer on their first play, and the race was on. Basket after basket Los Angeles poured in, and before long they had taken a 70-69 lead with 2:42 left in the quarter. It was Lamar Odom’s driving layup that gave them their first advantage since the first quarter, and lifted the psychological block that comes from always playing from behind. L.A. took a 76-73 lead into the fourth quarter, and possessed a renewed confidence that they now were in control of the game.
 In the fourth, it was a showdown between the teams’ superstars: Dwyane Wade for the Bucks, and Kobe Bryant for the Lakers. They guarded each other for the entire period, and both coaches ran many isolation sets for them because each was so hot. Wade made a conscious effort to attack Bryant going to the rim, and did just that. His lightning-fast first step and devastating crossovers and spinning drives got him penetration into the lane, where he was able to score time and time again. Wade got into a rhythm, which opened up his perimeter attack. He scored 16 points in the quarter on 7 for 10 shooting, finishing with 30 in the game, yet still…it wasn’t enough.
 That’s because Bryant was also on fire. Sinking long jumper after long jumper on Wade, Kobe was not to be denied from carrying his Lakers to victory in this game. The Lakers ran him off screens, so he got cleaner looks at the basket on his jumpshots, and he also took advantage of isolations to get to the rim, just as Wade was doing to him. Bryant’s 3-inch height advantage gave him the ability to shoot over the top of Wade down low, too.
 Of Kobe’s 12 fourth quarter points, though, the most critical came in the final 1:45 of regulation. The Lakers were up 100-96, and the Bucks were trying desperately to take back the lead. But Bryant had 2 consecutive steals which crushed the Bucks’ offensive rhythm, and really hurt their chances of coming back. Brian Grant of L.A. hit a short 2-pointer with 1:08 left to make it 102-96, then Udrih hit a 3 to cut the lead in half with 54 seconds left. If the Bucks got one stop now, they could tie the game…
 But Bryant hoped to hammer in nails in the Bucks’ coffin with a 3 of his own. It missed, but Brian Grant hauled in one of his 14 rebounds, and kicked it right back out to Bryant, who was now WIDE open because the Bucks had collapsed into the lane to rebound. Kobe launched another 3, and this one was nothing but net. It put the Lakers up 6, a deficit that the Bucks couldn’t overcome as Udrih missed his desperation 3s and the Lakers nailed their free throws. All in all, it was a very discouraging, tough loss for Milwaukee.

GAME NOTES
The Lakers’ starting frontcourt players were the key to their victory, despite Bryant’s play in the fourth quarter. Odom and Grant combined for 36 points and 22 rebounds, while Divac and Howard of the Bucks had just 13 points and 17 boards.

Grant Hill had 22 points in his debut with the Bucks. “This was a tough loss, but I’m still excited because this is a really talented team. I think we’ll get it together and once we gel as a group, we’ll be fine.”

I have no idea how to in a franchise, besides, I'm already done with Game 24, I just have to get the recaps posted...that would be cool, though Exclamation

just play it outside the franchise mode. put in the players you think should participate. and give us some stats..anyways tough loss. the comeback code when CPU assist is on can be very painful at times

thanks {Sac-1}, yeah sometime the CPU does "cheat" (especially with the CPU Assist ON). They will go on streaks of hitting EVERYTHING while I'm missing layups  but it's alright, all part of the challenge (Y)

Right you are, Mr. Diogo, I really like the trade for Hill. He's going to take a lot of the scoring load off of Dwyane Wade, hopefully.

that's a good idea  I think I do it this weekend, using the top 8 3-point % shooters, and give a recap. And yes, the CPU plays like 5 MJs out there sometimes when they're making a comeback  but I usually can still find a way to pull it out in the end...
