Hopefully this one gets some legs. With what other teams have done in the East, I'm kind of hoping the Magic make it out of the East with Redick as their starting SG
I wonder (like everybody else) if you'll make a run for Chris Paul or try to beat Heat with current Magic roster

Who Will Help Dwight?
What the rumour mill says.
Melo, Iggy, Granger, CP3. Could one of these be the new face of the Magic?
This offseason was perhaps the most exciting the NBA has seen, with big names such as James, Bosh, Stoudemire and Boozer all moving teams the landscape of the NBA's contenders has changed. While teams such as the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks have seen drastic improvement on last season’s rosters, the Orlando Magic have remained relatively static.
While it is widely agreed that keeping a roster intact will help to build on existing team chemistry, most believe that the Magic will need to add another significant piece to keep pace with the elites in the rapidly improving Eastern Conference. The problem facing the Magic is finding a team that is willing to help them improve their roster and whether the Magic have the assets to entice a team into trading with them.
Over the summer there have been 3 or 4 rumours that have taken legs. Firstly the rumour that had the most momentum was the Chris Paul saga. Fuelled by the players own admission of demanding a trade to a contender, many Magic fans were near convinced that a trade was going to happen, however following a meeting with Hornet brass Paul appears to have given the franchise a chance to show their devotion to winning. Any move for Paul would definitely include Vince Carter’s expiring contract, and now with the trade of Darren Collison, Jameer Nelson would also have to head to New Orleans. If Paul were to join the Magic could we be seeing the best Big Man/Little Man combo the league has seen?
Currently gathering steam and likely to become as talked about as the Chris Paul rumour is Carmelo Anthony and his contract extension. According to sources Carmelo has/will be asking for a trade with Orlando being one of the teams atop his list. There are more complications to a Carmelo trade such whether Orlando would be happy trading for a player that could walk this summer, or will he sign an extension as part of the trade agreement. Vince Carter would once again likely be the centrepiece of a trade, however Denver do not have as big a need to his expiring so young talent such as Ryan Anderson and picks would likely need to be included.
Rumours regarding Danny Granger and Andre Iguodala are at this stage more based on speculation. While Indiana appear to be in no way entertaining the notion of moving Granger, come trade deadline Orlando could perhaps be able to entice Indiana with a package of expiring contract(s) and young talent and picks. Indiana’s first round pick of Paul George also means they would not be without a wing scorer if Granger were to leave.
In selecting Evan Turner with the 2nd pick in the 2010 Draft, Philadelphia now have a surplus of talented swing men. Andre Iguodala is the highest earner of these and if the 76ers decide that they are confident Evan Turner can step into his role then they could be open to moving AI2 if the right deal comes along. Once again Vince Carter would have to be centrepiece of such a deal but it is likely the 76ers would demand that Elton Brand’s contract leaves as well so they can fully commit to their youth movement.
Should Orlando manage to swing a move for one of these players it would likely push them to top of the East and make them near favourites for the title. However don’t be surprised if the Magic stay put with their current side, since as Otis Smith has always said “I Like this team.”
