There were some big changes in Houston for the 2005-2006 season.

One change was the firing of general manager Carroll Dawson, which came as a surprise to many Houston fans around the nation.

"We wish the best for Carroll in his future endeavors" said Rockets owner Leslie Alexander. Van Gundy will be replaced by Jacob Milani, who will be, on the first game of the season, the youngest GM to ever GM a team in the NBA, at only 11 years of age. Dawson was quoted, "Screw you guys, I'm going home to eat some Cheesy Poofs".

"I want to thank the whole Rockets organization for putting their trust in me," said Milani. "My goal is to steer Houston in the right direction".

Another big change was NBA Commisioner David Stern announcing the new Fantasy Draft idea, making all players free agents. They will all be drafted in a draft that lasts 12 rounds. It will be like the Rookie Drafts after each season. Undrafted players will be counted as free agents. Stern sees this as a "new change for the best in the NBA."

The Draft Lottery went as follows:

1. Minnesota Timberwolves

2. Chicago Bulls

3. Houston Rockets

4. New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets

5. Washington Wizards

6.Charlotte Bobcats

7. Dallas Mavericks

8. Los Angeles Lakers

9. Detroit Pistons

10. Toronto Raptors

11. Miami Heat

12. Los Angeles Clippers

13. Portland Trailblazers

14. Philadelphia 76ers

15. Denver Nuggets

16. Utah Jazz

17. Phoenix Suns

18. Boston Celtics

19. Cleveland Cavaliers

20. Orlando Magic

21. Altanta Hawks

22. Memphis Grizllies

23. Sacramento Kings

24. New York Knicks

25. San Antonio Spurs

26. Seattle Supersonics

27. New Jersey Nets

28. Indiana Pacers

29. Milwaukee Bucks

30. Golden State Warriors

Milani seems happy with the third pick. "I think we should get a youngster that shows court leadership" he says.

The first 2 picks are LeBron James and Dwayne Wade.

"GOD DAMNIT NO!!!!!" screams Milani. "WHAT ARE THE ODDS?!" Then Milani is grounded by his mom for his potty mouth. He is 11, after all.

With the third pick in the NBA Fantasy draft, the Houston Rockets select...

...the Houston Rockets Select Amare Stoudemire, Cypress Creek HS.

Milani seems pleased with this pick. "I was planning on getting LeBron or Wade, but STAT is still a great pick".

Well, the draft is over, and your Houston Rockets Roster is...

I picked him because of Fitzy. =D And he's pretty good off the bench, anyway.

Bassy has field day in win

The Houston Rockets look like they're off to a good start.

As does Sebastian Telfair.

Bassy clearly won the matchup between he and Gilbert Arenas, tallying 32 points and dishing out 3 assists. Arenas only had 28 points and 2 dimes. Arenas was hot early, but Telfair cooled him down in the second half.

Trade brings Korver to Houston

The Houston Rockets and the Boston Celtics finalized a deal that sends Kyle Korver to Houston in exchange for Boris Diaw.

"Korver has shown us what he can do in the past," said Rockets GM Jacob Milani. "His shooting ability will give us a sparkplug off the bench."

Rockets get raped

The Rockets couldn't find a groove in the game, while the Jazz rolled along. They had an answer for everything the Rockets did. Down by 27 in the 4th, Houston outscored Utah by 16 to make the game look close.

You traded away Diaw for Korver? Seems that not very good trade
Anyway good luck against Phoenix.
Funny that Amare is in Houston and Yao in Phoenix. What fantasy draft can make..

Yes, fantasy draft can do strange things...

And, I think the Diaw/Korver thing will work, just wait till you see the next game...

No offense man but, that is one of the worst deals on NBA Live Dyansty.

Korver can shoot 3s and thats it. Diaw is the real deal. He can pass, rebound, plus hes ranked better on NBA Live.

You haven't said one good thing about any of my dynasties...

It may come back to haunt me, but Korver's been playing great as of late.
