2006 NBA FANTASY DRAFT
Boston Celtics
Their first round 13th overall pick was Zydrunas Ilgauskas. That surprised everyone. Z is one of the best centers in the league, but noone expected him to be drafted so quickly. After it Celtics drafted Antawn Jamison. He will be playing as a power forward and will be one of the team’s leaders. Then it was Peja Stojakovic, a shooter who will be very needed. He will be joined with Cutino Mobley who will start as a SG. Defense will be strong, especially that hey have Brevin Knight. David West is the brightest substitution.
Charlotte Bobcats
With their 7th overall pick Steve Francis, they have big chances, especially what he will be joined by Chris Webber and Gerald Wallace. The defense is really good,
When Dalembert is on defense. JR will add some exitment with his dunks. He can shoot also. Substitutions Vladimir Radmanovic and Shaun Livingston will be very needed. Radmanovic is one of the best shooting big men, and Shaun Livingston will be a perfect substitution for Francis.
Chicago Bulls
They may have the best defensive front line in the league, because there’s Ben Wallace at center, Elton Brand at PF, Tayshaun Prince at SF. Their playmaker is Jason Williams who can just give the ball inside and the job is done for the Bulls. If they’re unlucky in the paint, then they can give the ball to Stackhouse and the job is done. They have many opportunities to score, and are one of the candidates to the title. Also young guns Udonis Haslem and Danny Granger are on the bench so they don’t have to be afraid of fatique.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Weakness= big men. Brendan Haywood and Antonio McDyess aren’t the big men who can do the job really good. At least they have Johnson in SG and Jefferson in SF. Sorry I forgot the little one Earl Boykins PG. Not very good, Jefferson isn’t a leader of the team, and Johnson needs to get more experience. They have 3 rookies on their bench. Andrew Bynum, Julius Hodge, Andray Blatche. Maybe the future is more brightly.
Dallas Mavericks
One word=unlucky. Their captain and best player should be Tony Parker at PG, but no one knows what to expect from Andres Nacioni and Carlos Boozer. They have a young guy at SG Devin Brown. Center veteran Kurt Thomas. How will they play? I don’t know, but they have Tyronn Lue on the bench so if Parker is tired it’s not a big problem.
Denver Nuggets
Another candidate to the title. One of the NBA’s premiere guards Kobe Bryant. PF Stomile Swift, Shane Battier at SF weakness only center Dale Davis. It seems just a normal team, but let me present you Jason Terry. So? What do you think now? Not enough? Maybe letting you know that Stephen Jackson is on the bench let you believe my words. Still not enough? Well I`m finishing it with Sean May and Antonio Daniels. This time you have to believe it!
Detroit Pistons
They have the NBA’s future Dwyane Wade. Veteran Payton at PG, PF Bogut, SF Simmons and Mutombo at C. It may look bad, but they have Webster on their bench so shooting isn’t a problem.
Golden State Warriors
If they play great team game they might go far. Iverson at PG, Zo Mourning at C, Darius Miles at SF and Dwight Howard at PF. Also Mo Pete in SG. It’s good really, sorry fogot Sura on their bench.
Houston Rockets
Not very lucky. Stephon Marbury at PG, Al Harrington at PF. Veterans Rose and Brown in the starting five, plus dunker Fred Jones. Deron is on the bench and in the shadow of Stephon Marbury. Hard to play for them.
Indiana Pacers
Great lineup. Nowitzki, Ridnour, Lewis. Q at SG and Brad Miller at C. Really great shooting team, plus big shot rob so one of the best shooting team .
Los Angeles Clippers
Great front line Gasol, Camby and Josh Howard. But hey might be having problems on running the offense. Carlos Aroyo as the PG. Don’ t know what is Bobby Jackson doing on the bench. Bonzi as the SG.
Los Angeles Lakers
The first overall pick owner picked Baron Davis, Chris Bosh, Fred Hoiberg, Antoine Walker, Eddy Curry. One word= candidates. Sprewell at the bench. They also have the future with Nate Robinson and Way Simien.
Memphis Grizzlies
What is Shaq, Artest and Jermaine O’neal doing on a one team? Also Eddie Jones and Van Exel. They maybe candidates if they find their game. Well they have a future star Charlie Villanueva so they may be having the best front line in the league.
Miami Heat
Amazing Amare, Juwan, Corey, Ricky, Darom Stoudamire. Not very good bench, some Glen Robinson. But is Corey and Amare can play good, also Ricky, Damon. They’re having chances to go far…
Milwaukee Bucks
Vinsanity is gonna rock Milwaukee. Also Hinrich with his shooting and assists. Joined by Deng and Griffin they can make somewhere near semi-finals. Veteran Davis at center. Jaric best substitution.
Minnesota Timberwolves
Great front line. Yao Ming, Sheed Wallace, Odom. They can make something big, also San Cassel and Jamal Crawford. They can go far. Wilcox on the bench.
New Jersey Nets
Jason Richardson will be working with Andre Miller and Al Jefferson for good results. Pietrus maybe also helpful. Young guy Brezec is a good as a center so no hard feelings. Bench?Luther HEAD.
New Orleans
NOT LUCKY. Mike Bibby, Donyell Marshall, Posey, Wesley and Cato. Not good at all. Even after the draft their one of the worst. Dooling at bench.
New York Knicks
WOW. Really nice. Melo, Hamilton, Marion and the best rookie Paul! Center Jackson, but not a problem, Frye is on the bench.
Orlando Magic
Larry Hughes, Kwame Brown, Rafer Alston. Not very nice. Dampier and Van Horn. Better a little bit. Bench Harris and Green. Not bad at all. They need to find their game so then they will be able to make to the semi-finals(at least).
Philladelphia 76ers
I don’t know. Two major stars Duncan and Pierce may not be good team. Also Felton and Finley. Okur at forward. May be hard. Bowen on the bench.
Phoenix Suns
Nash here again? Huh. Gooden also with Marvin and Josh(Childress) from ex-hawks. Kaman at C. Not a bad lineup. Jameer at the bench. They won’t go far…
Portland Trail Blazers
This one is amazing. Kevin Garnett with Andrei Kirilenko and Michael Redd. Maybe really great, or we could say the title candidates? Biedrins isn’t bad. Maurice is improving. Diogu and George make a solid bench.
Sacramento
Ray Allen, Desmond Mason, Olowokandi, Chandler and Tinsley. Not bad they can shoot and play in the paint. They can defend, not bad at all. Brent Barry on the bench gives even a better view.
San Antonio
Great. Arenas, Hill, Randolph, Szczerbiak and Magloire give a nice look. Fisher on the bench it’s good.
Seattle SuperSonics
McGrady, Iguodala, Telfair. Really nice. Ratliff and Robinson older the team, but it’s not a big problem they have Diaw and Hayes on the bench. They can be one of the best in the west.
Toronto Raptors
Consentraded on the guards? Jasikevicius and Jones on the bench. Ginobili and Ford in the starting. Well Dunleavy and Murphy are good too, just again with the center…Lorenzen Wright…
Utah Jazz
Kidd, Miller, Martin, Josh Smith, Lafrentz. Their good and can make far. Just if Kidd doesn’t retire early .Duhon on the bench,
Washington Wizards
One of the worst. Butler, Billups, Banks, Nene and Shareef isn’t a good lineup. At the bench Graham. They could get better they had 19th pick.
