Starting Line-ups
Halftime
The first quarter saw Utah fall apart, shooting a dismal .238 from the field and 0/9 from three range. This marked the first time this year that Utah was seriously losing, as Houston lead 25-14 after one quarter. It says a lot when Jarret Jack leads your team in points with 3. The second quarter was worse for the Jazz, if that's possible. Said Jazz coach Jerry Sloan, "If we want to get back in this game, we need three-pointers. With both Steve [Nash] and Peter [Robertson] in foul trouble, Matt [Bonner] needs to step up and hit the shots." If that's the case, Utah is destined for a loss as Bonner was shooting horribly for the half. Luol Deng better recover quick, because Utah's lack of guards is showing.

Halftime Soliloquy
Damn I suck. Shots aren't falling and I keep forgetting to go inside, although that may be a good thing with all my starters in foul trouble, the inside presence is now Nick Collison. Have fun Cable Guy

Fulltime
Third quarter: Utah sucked balls, they couldn't hit a shot; Houston wasn't doing anything spectacular, except watching Utah miss;end of story ... although the quarter ended with two three pointers from Morris Peterson, could it have been signs of things to come? Perhaps, as at the beginning of the fourth quarter, down 74-52, Utah came out flying, hitting their first 3 shot attemps, all three pointers, and the quarter continued this way, with Utah hitting most of their shots. Unfortunately, so did Houston, who went on to win by 17.
Final score: UTAH - 92 |
Houston - 105

The second half wasn't as bad as the first half, although I still lost. It always works that way doesn't it? You get in a hole only to start making your shots when it's too late.
Song of the Game
Switchblade - Maximum Rock N' Roll
Yet another CBC Podcast track, Maximum RNR sound a lot like the Rolling Stones but with a harder edge. Switchblade is fast song with a strong drum beat and loud guitar chords, with the classic rock sound. Find a link to listen in the archive.
