Before the season...

Goals:
1. Make to the play-offs and get to the eastern conference semi finals(minimum).
2. Finish in top 5 in the regular season.
3. Win at least 18 games...
4. Normalize the salary cap. Biggest problems: Tim Thomas(about 10 mil), Tyson Chandler(about 10 mil).
5. Receive player of the month award (at least once).
6. Finish 2nd in your conference.

Plans:
1. Trading Tim Thomas to one of these teams: Atlanta, New Orleans, Detroit, Charllotte. * Done
2. Naming Ben Gordon the captain of the team.* Done

Looks good so far. Tim Thomas should be fairly easy to dump on Charlotte or Atlanta.

Seattle’s resistance wasn’t enough…

Image
Songaila had a double-double in points and rebounds…

Bulls win 100:95
Seattle Supersonics. Probably the best three-pointers shooting team in the NBA. Bulls knew it’s going to be tough, but were ready. At the beginning Chicago exploded and gained a 11 point lead in a 11-0 run. Then Seattle started answering by 3’s and fast attacks. They were fighting hard a narrowed the gap to end the quarter. At the second Sonics fired up in it’s beginning and took the lead. Till the end of the quarter Chicago was fighting, but couldn’t take the lead back. Seattle extended the lead to 15 in the third, but then Scott Skiles let Ben Gordon, Kirk Hinrich, Darius Songaila to the court and they destroyed the lead. Because of Tyson Chandler and Mike Sweetney, Andres Nacioni Seattle managed to score only 14 points in the third quarter. Chicago gained a 5 point lead in the 4th beginning, and didn’t let it go till the last minutes. Sonics destroyed the lead, but Kirk Hinrich showed a spectacular 4 three-pointers in a row performance which destroyed all Sonics’ hopes of winning the game…

Bulls had a hard time…

Image
Ben Gordon had a big game, but couldn’t save his team…

Bulls lost 104:101(OT)
Vince Carter, Jason Kidd, Richard Jefferson. The best trio in the NBA met the Bulls at United Center. The beginning was really tough and unexpected. Both teams struggled and missed many shots. The rebounding was distributed strangely. It was really hard to score for the Bulls. While Jefferson was scoring with the help of Jason Kidd and Vince Carter, Bulls were searching for players who could hold the team not to lose. And they found Darius Songaila. He was spectacular. Had his career-high night and was the main gun against the Nets till the 4th quarter. At the 4th the Nets had a big lead, but Kirk Hinrich started dishing assist after assist and collected 10 of them in the 4th. Ben was a surprise scoring many points and helping the team stand back. The game was a big thriller and the Nets missed the winning shot. Then at overtime. Bulls started the Overtime really explosively with a 5-0 run and it seemed that the Nets lost. But if not Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson it would be the truth. They started scoring fast points and shooting three-pointers. The game was going point by point until the last seconds Carter nailed a 3 pointer. Bulls had 1 second left, but Gordon couldn’t save his team with a tying three-point shot.
