DENVER HIRE NEW GM
The Denver Nuggets today announced that they have decided to hire a new GM, Kiki Vandeweghe was dismissed today and Stan Kroenke wouldn't comment on anything, all he had to say was that the new GM was Carl Johnson a man with no real fame to his name but has been know for his work with local Australian teams. Vandeweghe was best known in his 4 seasons with the club when he aquired Carmelo Anthony in the 2003 draft, Since then his descisions have been very average according to Stan. "I really liked the guy" said Carmelo Anthony, the boy wonder of Denver. "I thought he made some good descisions and was a respectful GM, but Stan has made his choice and we all have to carry on." New GM Carl Johnson has been flown in from Perth, Australia and will begin working with the franchise imediatley. "I'm glad i was given the oppurtunity and i won't let this team down".

TRAINING CAMP OVER.
The Denver Nuggets have completed their training camp and everything is looking good for the potential northwestern leaders. George Karl was pleased with the amount of effort to earn spots in the starting line-up. He also put Greg Buckner and Demarr Johnson through a series of tests, to find the better starter. The tests ended with a 1 on 1 match and Buckner prevailed 11-9. "The two of them are really tough and both very competitive" said Karl. "I still hope our new GM can aquire a good offensive shooting guard", George Karl has been training the most with Anthony. "He is the future of this team, he needs to be getting better everyday." Anthony struggled last season with many issues occuring compared to his rookie season. "This season I'm just gonna go at it" said Melo. "My main aim is to improve the team" which means if there is a man open Carmelo is gonna find em. The Denver Nuggets were 49-33 last season with Karl coming near the end of the season, lets see how they fair up in 06

The Denver Nuggets escaped Atkins 33 points and came away with the victory. Chucky Atkins started at Point Guard for the Wizards as Jared Jefferies was injured at practice. Atkins didnt disapoint. He got 33 points and 8 assists, but this wasnt enough to get Washington the win. Denvers Carmelo Anthony got 29 points and Marcus Camby got 22 points and 13 rebounds. Denver dominated the boards 43-34. "we got the ball off the glass on both offense and defense" said George Karl Nuggets head coach, "Marcus did a good job in keeping the oposition out". Gilbert Arenas had a quiet game starting at Shooting Guard and most of the credit goes to Greg Buckner who shut him down. "I was told i had a job to do and i did it" said Buckner. Coach Eddie Jordan was pleased with the line-up despite the loss. "I think Chucky really shined tonight despite our defeat. I can see him in the 5 in the future" said Jordan.
Denver shot poorley from beyond the arc with only 2 3s made out of 12 attempts. "Our shooting has much to be desired" said Anthony who was 0-3 from the arc. "we get open looks but they just dont fall". Washington led most of the game but they collapsed towards to end. Jamison got 17 points and 9 boards. "Gil was quiet so i had to up my game a bit, Chuck did a great job". The game ended with free throws. Denver meet San Antonio in a few days time.
