draft

Postby KIG1 on Sat Dec 31, 2005 7:18 pm

The Boston Celtics have the 30th pick in the NBA Draft and they select

Jorge Haydorn

Rating: 70
Position: PG
Height: 5'11
Weight: 188
College: Georgetown
Birthplace: Omaha, NE
Jersey #: 41
Proj: Top 10

The Boston Celtics have the 60th pick in the NBA Draft and they select

Glen Chen

Rating: 66
Position: PF
Height: 6'7
Weight: 226
College: China
Birthplace: Wuhan, China
Jersey #: 36
Proj: Late 1st Round

Recap
Overall the Celtics did very good in the draft. They got a good back-up point guard to back-up Baron Davis. His potential is exellent and can be a premier point guard in future years. In Chen you get a very strong player who can step out and shoot the three. He is a bruiser in the paint and plays very well at the power forward position for his size.

This match-up is a battle of two great veteran players. LeBron, who has been an All-Star three years in a row, and Pierce who has been to the All-Star Game five years in a row.

Recap
The Celtics needed a win to boost their confidence, and tonight thats just what they got. The 1st quarter was a well fought quarter and both teams looked solid. Dallas had a slight advantage at half-time winning by 2. But in the 3rd, it was all Boston. With key threes from Baron Davis and Paul Pierce the Celtics closed out the game with a victory. Pierce did not shoot very well from the arc (1-7), but had 27 points to lead the Celtics. Lebron James posted a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds. But the best play was by Baron Davis, who had 23 points 10 rebounds and 8 assists and flirted with a triple-double. Haji Iwanaka started ahead of Korver and scored 3 points and snatched 7 rebounds.
