UTAH JAZZ

Postby Speedy Gonzales on Thu Jun 09, 2005 5:08 am

A START OF A NEW UTAH DYNASTY:

KARL MALONE DECIDED TO RETIRE FROM PLAYING BASKET BALL.HE THOUGHT THAT HE IS DONE WITH BBALL,THAT'S WHEN HE GOT A CALL THAT CHANGED HIS LIFE.UTAH JAZZ OWNER LARRY H. MILLER WAS ON THE OTHER END OF THE LINE.HE OFFERED HIM AN OFFER HE COULDN'T REFUSE!
SO HE ACCEPTED:

KARL MALONE IS THE NEW GM OF UTAH JAZZ
Image
GM Karl told the press:
"This was not what I had in mind when I retired  ,but after talking with my family which convinced me to go for it,I took the job.Utah Jazz has a special place in my hart and I will give my best to make this team a CHAMPION."

Couching staff:
HEAD COACH :
Jerry Sloan (College - Evansville '65)
ASSISTANT COACHES:
Tyrone Corbin (College - DePaul)
Phil D. Johnson (College - Utah State '63)
Gordon Chiesa (College - St. Thomas Acquinas '73)
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH:
Mark McKown (College - South Carolina-Spartanburg '80)
ATHLETIC TRAINER:
Gary Briggs (College - Morehead State '74)
ASSISTANT TRAINER:
Brian Zettler

After looking over the roster,Malone had some ideas of who to trade for and after talking to the Jazz administration,he pulled the trigger on a few trades and free agent signing:

UTAH JAZZ START THE SEASON WITH A WIN
NOVEMBER 3:
LAKERS@JAZZ
FINAL SCORE:101-107
Image

Jazzers wanted to impress the legend of the club, their new GM Karl Malone.Carlos Boozer was specially hiped couse Malone was his biggest role model.Boozer led the Jazz with 38 points. He was truly a POWER foward, dunking left and right,he was muscling his way toward the bucket.
Brevin Knight dished out 5 assists and had 8 steals.
Jamal Magloire scored 13 points and grabbed 22 rebs,he was named player of the game.
Jazz had four players in double figures, which was too much for the Lakers.Lakers were led by Kobe Bryant and Chucky Atkins, who scored together 43 points.
Also to mention,Jazz blocked 7 more shoots.

Lakers did come within 3 points late in the fourth, but,Boozer scored 3 in a row to put Jazz out of harm's way.

Boozers three dunks:

BOOZER'S 85 POINTS GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE WIN
NOVEMBER 5:
JAZZ@WARRIORS
FINAL SCORE:115-100
Image
Karl Malone came into the locker room before the game and talked with the players, they had an idea, since scouts said that Warriors have a weak frontcourt, let Boozer try get more then 100 points to set a new high scoring record.Malone looked at couch Sloan,he just loughed, but said that if the team starts to lose,he is putting an end to the idea.Players said ok and went out on the court.Boozer started great, scored 32 points in the first quarter.Everything looked as if he is going to do it,but that's when trouble started,he managed to score 20 points in 2. and 3. quarter,as he was double teamed all the time.He had another great quarter, scoring 33 points in the 4.He was player of the game.

And dump me,out of 20 dunks that he made,I didn't photo one :scold:

Are you making the Jazz a champion or Boozer a champion? Your sliders are crazy too. 80 Game speed? I wonder if it runs that fast in ASW.

TEAMWORK GETS JAZZ ANOTHER WIN
NOVEMBER 6:
JAZZ@NUGGETS
FINAL SCORE:107-97
Utah Jazz went into the game with a ludacris pace, they outscored the Nuggets 32-15 in the first quarter.Second quarter was the same,Jazz outscored Nuggets again,32-22.Nuggets went to the lockerroom with their heads way down:
Image

Nuggets came out blazing in the second half, outscoring the Jazz 60-43,but that just wasn't enough,Jazz got the win.
Key for this win was teamwork,Jazz had 30 assists compared to 9 that Nuggets got.
Ak47 led the Jazz with 18 points in the first half, but scored just 4 in the second half.
Image

Boozer had a quiet night, scoring just 17 points and grabing 8 rebs:

Jamal Magloire was once again named the player of the game.

NUGGETS GET EVEN WITH A WIN
NOVEMBER 8:
NUGGETS@JAZZ
FINAL SCORE:113-105
Nuggets gave the Utah Jazz their first loss of the season.Nuggets had 8 players in double diggits which proved to be too much for the Jazz.
Jamal Magloire led the Jazz with 28 points and 11 rebs.
On the other side,Nuggets were led by Andre Miller with 28 points and K-Mart with 15 points.
But the way Utah started, everyone thought it was going to be another win for the Jazz, but Nuggets turned things around in the second half and outscored the Jazz for the win.

JAZZ LOSE SECOND IN A ROW
NOVEMBER 10:
RAPTORS@JAZZ
FINAL SCORE:117-106
Image
As you can see, this was a high scoring game between two solid teams. The score was tight troughout the first 3 quarters. And than came the 4. quarter in which Jazz offence just stoped hitting shots and were bombarded by Raps 3 point bombers (N) Boozer led the Jazz with 31 points, but that just wasn't enough for the win, trio of Alston,Mo Pete and Rose scored 72 points combined :!:

JAZZ TRADE FOR RICKY DAVIS
Image
Newspapers reported Ricky Davis got into a fight with Boston's coach and said that wants to be traded,Karl Malone is sure that coach sloan can control Davis temper so he made a call and the trade was done.

BREAKING NEWS
JAZZ GM KARLMALONE GETS KING JAMES
Image

GM Malone:"When you have the chance to get a player of James calibre, you know you have to take it.LeBron told his ex GM that when his contract runs out,he is outta there, couse he didn't like the road that Cavs have taken.I called Paxton and he said he is unfortunatlly listening to offers,so when I gave him mine,he looked at the prospect of getting Kirilenko and Giricek,he accepted the trade."

LeBron James:"Utah Jazz has a very good team and I will do my best to get this team the title. As for Boozer,he has always been my friend and to play by his side again is just a bonus,it is great to see that he is playing great ball for the Jazz.Better that he plays for me,than against me :D
I am happy to make a new start,I mean, playing for Cavs was great, but I think I can go further with this team :!: "
