Barnsey's Boston Franchise =)

Postby Nick on Sat Aug 16, 2003 12:10 am

What up,

This is the first proper franchise that i've started before...ever. :o

Boston Celtics
8 minute quarters (first game was 7 minute)
Superstar difficulty
fouls +1 from default
all rules on

The team is much different from the normal boston team:

C- Eddy Curry
PF- Amare Stoudemire
SF- Eddie Griffen
SG- Paul Pierce
PG- Dajuan Wagner
---
SG- Darius Miles
PF- Jonathan Bender
SF- Gerald Wallace
PG- Joe Forte
C- Zach Randpolh
C- Kendrick Perkins
PG- Marcus Banks
---
C- Mark Blount

I'm really enjoying this franchise, i've played three games so far, and they've all been fun and exciting.

First game i lost by 2 points to Chicago, 119 to 117. Can't remember much from this game.

Second game i beat Minny by something like 10 points. I remember that Eddie Griffen played an amazing game. his stats were...
29 pts
9 rebs
6 blocks
7 assists
1 steal

Third game i lost to Philly by 2 points again. Can't remember much since these 3 games were played too long ago, and it's too late at night to use my memory. :P

Eddy Curry doesn't score much but he is a big force in the paint, he's strong and gets most of the team's rebounds. He's got a bunch of potential too. 1 of 2 players averaging double double figures.

Amare Stoudemire is my fav player. :) he's good on both offense and defense, he hits his shots, (FG accuracy is like .769 at the moment) and he's blocking shots and rebounding.

Eddie Griffen is playing great for me, he's 6'10" and 232 lbs so I use the SF mismatches. he's average almost the same amount of blocks as rebounds. Averaging 20.3 points, 5.7 rebs, 5.3 blocks, 4.0 assists, If he stays consistant, Could he possibly be an MVP candidate?

Paul Pierce is da man....he's carrying the team, he's the franchise player...averaging exactly 30 points, 4.7 assists, 4 blocks, 2.7 rebounds and 1 steal. MVP material. i hope he does well.

Dajuan Wagner is playing PG better than anybody would think. When he has the ball he thinks of the options first before shootng, and that's what i want from wags. leading the league in assists (12.3) and averaging 14.0 PPG, 3.7 RPG and 1 steal per game. Averaging double double figures too.

Tales was right, D-Miles is good off the bench, he's keeping the team balanced. Averaging 10 pts in 6.7 minutes, i hope he wins 6th man award.

Jon Bender, i like his game, glad he's on the team. producing satisfying numbers for a second bench player!

Gerald Wallace is a powerhouse waiting to be discovered.

Joe Forte is the kind of player i like to have backup PG.

Zach Randolph is solid.

Kendrick Perkins and Marcus Banks, rookies that aren't getting much time in this team of TALENT. :D

Instead of postin' season averages every time, why don't you post game stats each post, and season averages each, like, 5 games?

I've been meaning to Tales, but i can't remember them, i'll write them down from now on mate. (Y)

From memory, Against Dallas, Amare scored 27, Pierce scored 31, Wagner scored 19 points and 16 assists.

Up against 6-1 Raptors next, i'll post player game stats. (Y):)

Before the raptors game...

I MADE A TRADE:

P. Pierce + J. Bender

for

K. Garnett + F. Lopez

I got Pierce averaging some great stats: 30 points, 5 assists, 4 blocks, 3 rebounds and 1 steal per game. And Bender was playing great off the bench: 5 points and 2 rebounds in 6.7 minutes. But since Garnett is such a legend i had to trade for him, i need more of a franchise player than pierce.

So now the lineup is:

C- Amare
PF- KG
SF- Griffen
SG- Miles (He was my best bench player, so i'm testing him at SG, Lets see how he does.)
PG- Wagner
---
C- Curry
PF- Randolph
SF- Wallace
PG- Forte
SG- Lopez
PG- Banks
C- Perkins

Played the raptors, Beat them. Here are the player stats for that game: (look out for KG's Massive stats, good Celtice debut game. (Y))

---Starting 5:---

Amare Stoudemire: 16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 assists, 1 steal

Kevin Garnett: 32 points, 16 rebounds, 5 blocks, 1 steal, 1 assist.

Eddie Griffen: 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals.

Darius Miles: 13 points, 6 blocks, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal.

Dajuan Wagner: 18 points, 13 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks.

---Off the bench:---

Eddy Curry: 11 points, 7 rebounds in 7 minutes.

Joe Forte: 5 points, 3 assists, 1 rebound in 7 minutes.

Gerald Wallace: 5 points, 2 steals in 7 minutes.

Zach Randolph: 2 points, 7 minutes.

Nobody else scored or had any significant stats.

Darius Miles played okay. 13 pts, 6 blks. Garnett made me proud! :D 32 pts, 16 rebs. I'm glad i traded for him, nobody can stop a 7 footer with a verticle jump that high in the paint, he was just grabbing everything. when he came into the team, he was averaging 22 points and 12 rebounds, i hope to improve these stats and win MVP. (Y) Eddy Curry amazed me. 7 rebounds??? Off the bench??? in 7 minutes!!! Holy shit! Wagner is picking all the plays. just look at his assist per game stats, he's a champ.

Next game, T-Mac's Magic...

But before that game...

I MADE ANOTHER TRADE:

D. Miles + F. Lopez + Dell Curry (sign and trade)

for

J. Richardson + E. Boykins + J. Welsch

I'm really happy with this trade. J-rich adds to the athletic freakiness in my team. He will be better than Miles. As much as i love him, Miles just didn't seem to fit or something. I can't wait to play Boards McBoykins too. :D Jiri Welsch can just go on the IR. *shrug* Lookin' forward to see some J-rich dunkage on the highligh reels. (Y)

So now the lineup looks like this:

C- Amare
PF- KG
SF- Griffen
SG- J-rich
PG- wags
---
E. Curry
G. Wallace
Forte
Randolph
Boykins
Perkins
Banks
---
Blount
Welsch.

So with that lineup, i played the Magic, and beat them in a thriller, i won by 2 points or something. nail biting stuff...here are the player stats...

---Starting 5:---

Amare Stoudemire: 22 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks.

Kevin Garnett: 22 points, 16 rebounds, 7 blocks, 2 assists, 1 steal.

Eddie Griffen: 18 points, 7 rebounds, 6 blocks, 3 assists.

Jason Richardson (Debut game): 17 points, 3 assists, 2 blocks.

Dajuan Wagner: 15 points, 10 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, 1 rebound.

---Off the Bench:---

Eddy Curry: 8 points, 6 rebounds in 8 minutes.

Zach Randolph: 4 points, 4 rebounds in 8 minutes

Joe Forte: 2 points, 3 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks, 1 rebound in 9 minutes.

Gerald Wallace: 2 points, 2 blocks, 1 rebound.

Earl Boykins: 2 points, 2 assists.

Eddy Curry staying consistant, i like that. Everybody on the team's producing, i like that too. :P

So i'm 5-3 now....here are the player averages...

Code: Select all
Name                   PPG    RPG    APG    SPG   BPG   MPG    GP   GS

PG- Dajuan Wagner      13.2   2.3    12.3   1.3   0.7   23.3   6    6
---
C - Eddy Curry         9.4    8.5    1.1    .5    1.6   20.2   8    6
PF- Joe Forte          2.6    .6     4.0    1.0   .4    7.5    8    0
