[08] Sun will Rise in Phoenix - Phoenix Suns Dynasty

Postby spekil on Fri Feb 22, 2008 7:03 am

HI there... I just wanna share what's happening with my current dynasty.
I'm just balancing entertainment, excitement and domination in the league.

Starting Roster at the beginning of my dynasty:
I just decide to show them to you guys rather than typing their infos...:D

So Hiring has just begun and I've got Assistand HC (training, Leadership A), 2 trainers, 1 trainer and 1 scout...

And I played a couple of games and so far so good... no loss fortunately... Until the late November, I just realized that I need to keep on improving my roster considering all the aspects such as age, player's capability, superstar wanna be blah blah blah...

Even God knows I really love Shaq to play on Phoenix, but for the betterment of the team, I need to do some gamble. As far as we know, Shaq's premier days has passed (kinda) so I'm looking for a young but still a reliable and consistent PF or C.

I'm eyeing Pau Gasol 86(young and talented), Dwight Howard 90(future Shaq and became Superman recently winning the slam dunk award or Yao Ming 87(not that tall and intimidatin inside the paint).

But I went to Toronto and I've spotted Chris Bosh. He's not really a good fit to replace Shaqs shoes but I guess Amare and Chris would be the next twin tower of NBA just like Duncan and Robinson. what you guys think???

Anyway, the hard part came. Shaq (87) was getting 20M a year while Chris Bosh (88) got 12M. So I tried my best to persue this trade by sending:

And get PF Chris Bosh (88), SF Jason Kapono (69) but deadly in 3pt and C A. Baraghni (74) that can be a great back up center.

But I still keep going on to fill the no.3 position but I guess Kapono could somehow manage no.3 spot at the moment.

And I reviewed Diaw's (78) contract as he's getting 9M @31 yrs old. So felt I could get better playerS with that kind of salary. So I tried to get Kobe or D. Wade without sacrificing my PG,newly acquired PF and C positions. Obviously, they didn't want to let their superstars for my crapstar (just kidding).
So I just decided to negotiate with Utah and get SG Kover (69) (can still be developed). I sent G. Hill (79) 1.83M, Diaw (78) 9M along with Bell (77) 4.75M to get:

B. Williams (80) very young & backup PG as Nash is nearly retiring but let's see.
Korver (67) not too bad
Harpring (72)

So this my Roster as for the moment.

But I'm not perfect. Just like L. Hughes when he accepted the Cavs offer and said he just made a mistake, I realize my roster is not yet solid.
So I will try my best to get a solid SF no matter what... :D

Any suggestions??? By the way, I just wanna let S. Nash retire in Phoenix keep Stoudemire at the line up so I could still feel I'm playing with Suns... :D Peace... I'll give you an update if you don't find its boring otherwise... too bad...

Not bad actually. Thats a pretty weird trade for both you and Utah. Getting Diaw is excessive considering they already have Kirilenko. Getting D-Will is excessive considering you have Nash. If you are afraid of Nash retiring, then trade him for a good small forward and then let D-Will take the reins. After that Amare will be the only original Sun left, haha. Anyways keep it up.

Heh, Deron Williams and Steve Nash are so underrated in those rosters.

I personally don't like this dynasty, as its basically a glorified fantasy draft. Not to mention you raped all of the teams you traded with, and have two top 5 Point Guards.

It isn't too bad presentation-wise, but not spectacular either. Good luck. Interesting to see if this lasts.

Sorry for being so negative. I'm the Dynasty section's resident cynic.

Its a waste of talent having williams in your bench.
I think you should restart a new dynasty with the fantasy draft.
You changed the roster sooooooooooo much :(

Good luck (Y)
