1. Los Angeles Clippers - 7-0 - Still undefeated. They are the best team in the league right now. If they continue to play this good, they could become an unstoppable force. Surprisingly, none of their players are nominated for any awards or are doing that well in All-Star votes.

2. Miami Heat - 7-3 - The defending champions are playing very well. Though division rivals have the top spot in the East, they have a higher percentage. With D-Wade having another terrific season and no injuries, the Heat are a major force to be reckoned with.

3. Phoenix Suns - 6-4 - After a starting the season 2-3, the Suns are 4-1 since then and have won all convincing victories. Only the Magic were able to stop them.

4. Minnesota T-Wolves - 6-3 - Who saw this coming? Led by KG, Minnesota is having a solid season, in third place in the Western Conference. It looks like they could make their first playoff run in two years.

5. Dallas Mavericks - 6-4 - They were plagued by injuries and still managed to stay above .500. With Nowitzki back, they are looking strong. But why did they trade Devin Harris for T.J. Ford?

6. Orlando Magic - 9-4 - They sit atop the weak Eastern Conference but they need to work on their consistency. One minute they will be up by 20, their lead will be 5. Also they allow other teams to score almost 105 points per game. Unacceptable defense.

7. Golden State Warriors - 6-2 - Wow, the Warriors have the second best record in the league. As soon as it looks like this will be the year they make a playoff run, Baron Davis injures himself.

8. New Jersey Nets - 6-3 - 6-3 is good enough for the third seed in the East, but they should look out because the Knicks have won 7 or their last 8 games! Also, they face Orlando next.

9. San Antonio Spurs - 6-5 - Shameful. They currently are not in a playoff spot. Something is up. They are one of the most talented teams in the league, why are they doing so bad? The Spurs better turn things around because the West is a tough conference.

10. Los Angeles Lakers - 6-4 - The Magic are probably regretting trading Travis Diener. He is averaging 13 points and 6 assists per game for the Lakers and is the number 2 candidate for most improved player.

Great three-point shooting can't save Nets

January 9

The Magic were hungry for a win, and they dominated the Nets. Despite New Jersey going 9-for-16 from long range as a team, Orlando outscored them every quarter. Dwight Howard had another disappointing night on the boards, only grabbing 9. He made up for it by scoring 29 points and blocking 3 shots. Guard Jameer Nelson also had a great game with 23 points, 11 assists and 5 steals. Kwame Brown came off the bench and grabbed a team high 11 rebounds, but only scored 4 points. New Jersey's big three (Jefferson, Carter, Kidd) combined for 63 of their team's 82 points, but it was all for naught. Magic won 102-82.

My stats were iffy from the start, and after altering the sliders and finishing new rosters (Edited every players ratings, making final touches) I will start a new one. I am considering using Portland, Seattle or Toronto. It may or may not come soon and I might not post it here.

Thanks for the kind words. I have been actually thinking about the Blazers story. I played the development games and simmed up to the all-star game where I would start it. I made a couple cheap trades that without Trade Override, the game accepts... I got rid of LaFrentz, Randolph, Miles and most of the team's problems. Here is the lineup I made:
