Nuggets announce the '06-'07 regular season.

Coach George Karl on the upcoming season:

"It's going to be exciting to be able to coach and work with Allen Iverson this year. I believe he is the missing piece to the puzzle here in Denver, and with Boykins coming off the bench, we have a very reliable PG as a back-up. Hopefully this team will gel together and make a run at the championship."

The Nuggets management also announced the hiring of Karl's staff.

Nuggets announce the signing of DerMarr Johnson.
The Denver Nuggets have signed forward free agent DerMarr Johnson, hoping he can contribute greatly off the bench. Here is what Johnson had to say about the signing.

"I'm glad that I am going to become a part of the Nuggets organization. Hopefully my tenure in Denver will be a long time, and maybe with a couple of championships in the mix to. That is what every player and every teams goal is at the beginning of the season, but hopefully Denver will be the team to fullfill that goal." he told the press.

Coach Karl on Johnson.

"He's a very talented athlete, and you can use his talent in many ways. He's a good defender and he can help on the offensive end too. He'll most likely be seeing some playing time quick at the start of the season."

The Nuggets much anticipated season opener turned ugly quick. The Clippers used a 17-2 run in the 2nd quarter to blow open the game, and they never looked back after that. Cutino Mobley torched Denver's D, racking up 32 points on the night. Allen Iverson paced the Nuggets with 22 points of his own in his first game as a Denver Nugget.

The Nuggets shooting was horrible, even with them getting offensive rebound after offensive rebound, they couldn't put the ball in the hoop. Chris Kaman dominated the glass, pulling in 21 rebounds while Camby pulled in 15. Coach George Karl was a little surprised by his teams play.

"I expected alot more from them tonight than what I saw out there. I was really dissapointed in our effort, and how we forced shots time after time again. But maybe they just haven't figured out a chemistry quite yet, hopefully that is the answer to this problem." Karl told reporters.

The Nuggets fall to 0-1, while LA moves up to 1-0. But with it such a long season, Carmelo isn't too worried.

"Hey it's just the first game, no worries. Yeah, were all dissapointed but we also understand that there is 81 games left to be played. So no worries about this one. We'll just forget about this little trip to LA and work hard and get ready for our next game." Anthony said

*My computer for some reason isn't letting me put screenshots up so I'm still trying to figure out how. If anyone could help me I'd greatly appreciate it. Same thing with the player stats after the game, I have no idea how to get that on to here.

one challenge for you here is who will be your main man here because i also try a denver dynasty with ai there and i had a difficult time controlling and deciding who will be my main man in scoring. there is ai, melo, jr smith.

Nuggets Preview: Game 2 of '06-'07 Season

Minnesota Timberwolves
0-1, 5th Northwest
Leading Scorer: Kevin Garnett; 18.0 PPG

Denver Nuggets
0-1, 4th Northwest
Leading Scorer: Allen Iverson; 22.0 PPG

*I'm thinking my go to guy will be Carmelo, even though A.I. had a bigger game in the first game. I'll probably use Iverson more as a ball handler and assist man but still score some points. But right now I'm planning on using Carmelo as my scorer.
