I started a league with 2 NBA legends team. I used the Laker and the Celtics and fill the roster up with Legends. Boston legends in Boston then I added, Reggie Miller, Dr.J, Pete Maravich, Earl Monroe and some other legends from the pool. The Lakers is of course filled with Lakers of the past then I added Big O, Nique, Spud Webb, Isaiah Thomas, Willis Reed and others.
I played against the Pistons last night with the Celtics. The Pistons made the biggest come back ever against any of my team by cutting down my 37-pt lead at the half to just 6 pts mid way through the 4th quarter. Bird hit 4 straight 3-pointers in the 1st and 2nd quarter and finished the half with 20pts. Russell also finished the half with 20pts and ended the game with a triple double with 34pts, 14rebs, and 10blks. Rasheed and Billups led the come back but Bird and Erving got hot again near the end of the 4th quarter.
It's amazing to see Garnett battling against the double team of Jabbar and Chamberlain and still score 20pts. The guards are still scoring in the 30's but what else is new. Chamberlain is leading the league in scoring with 29.8ppg. Russel and Bird are averaging 25ppg. Magic is leading the assist department with 14 a game. Cousy was not effective leading the Lakers so I put Tiny Archibald instead, who is averaging 12pts and 11asts as a starter.

it's incredible that after 10 games of playing the Lakers and Boston, they are tied with scoring 1164 pts each. Boston's last game against the Wizards saw them score 147pts and that's while being down 13-2 midway through the first quarter. Bird then made 8 straight points with two consecutive 3-pointers and the Boston made a 17-4 run to take the lead. Bird finished the game with 43pts, season high, and Walton finished with a triple double with 12pts, 12rebs, and 10 blks. Reggie Miller came off the bench to score 15pts and Mchale scored 10. The Pistol is back in the line up after having a foot injury.
The Lakers struggled against the Bulls for the most part of the game but still managed to end up with a win. The Stilt scored 31pts, grabbed 17rebs, and had 6blks. Worthy, the best scorer off the bench for the Lakers got injured but he will still be able to play. Chandler blocked 2 of Wilt's shots and was able to outrebound him on some possesions. Curry played well against Jabbar too but Jabbar blocked 8 Bulls shots in the paint.
When I start the season it was apparent that the Lakers will run off with the best scoring team because they have Wilt and Jabbar. I didn't know that Bird and Boston would find the firepower to keep up. Boston is rebounding better but the Lakers is assisting, blocking, and stealing better.

Larry Bird is on fire this week, he has scored 43 and 53 pts this past week. The 53 point explosion came with 7 of 8 3-pointers and a perfect 13 of 13 from the line. He is closing in on Iverson and Chamberlain as the top scorers in the league.
I got tired of Oscar Robertson playing subpar through 10 games so I called on Clyde Drexler, who up to this point in that point in the season, hasn't played a game for the Lakers yet. His first game off the bench saw him score 14pts in 7 minutes of play. His first start of the season saw him score 34pts and out-scoring Chamberlain (31). He definitely has more firepower than the Big O but I think I just don't know how he played. Drexler is a slasher with a respectable outside jumpshot.
I had Spud Webb play a game in the place of Isaiah Thomas but he is just too small. I was looking forward to seeing him dunk but he doesn't even have the dunk symbol. He can't make a jump shot as well so I decided to put him back on the bench. Magic still leads the league in assist but Nate is closing in with 8.9 a game. Magic has a 13apg average and he also leads the league in steals with 3.4 a game.

Chamberlain suffered an elbow injury in the second quarter of their game against the sixers. Chamberlain scored 15pts in the 1st quarter and was really looking forward to beating Bird's season best of 53. Worthy came off the bench and had 14pts and 9rebs. I think Wilt is going to miss some games. Drexler continues his strong game with 21pts, 6rebs, and 5asts. Jabbar was supremo with 24pts, 13rebs, and 11blks. Iverson scored 30 and they missed the services of Iguadala, who is on the injured list.

Even with the great performance of Bird and Chamberlain during the first month of the season, Baron Davis and Lebron won the player of the month awards. When Steve Kerr got to interview Wilt and asked about the award, Wilt said, "it's on" then left.
Wilt played against the Bobcats and had 26pts, 16rebs, and 8blks but didn;t end up as the player of the game, that's because Kareem had 17pts, 7rebs, and 16blks! He is now averaging 10blks per game, sick!
Russel is doing everything for the Celtics. He had a game wherein he finished the half with 10pts, 5rebs, 5blks, 5asts, and a stl. Bird and Miller are drilling rainbows as they make an average of 5 a game combined.

The Celtics almost suffered their first loss of the season in the hands of the Rockets. The Celtics was down all game and there were 3 times when the Rockets would lead by 9 and when the Celtics finally get to tie the game, Mcgrady, Yao, and Barry would push it back again to 9. It was late in the 4th quarter when the Rockets was leading by 7 when Bird scored 5 straight points and Erving had a lay up to tie the game. The Rockets had a 3 point lead with 11 seconds left when Mcgrady fouled Bird on a 3-pt attempt. Bird made all three and put the game on OT. The Celtics controlled the OT period by having Frazier play instead of Archibald. Frazier was a better stealer and he did have 4 steals in the game and 4 asts. Bird scored 47pts and Erving had 32. Mcgrady had 32pts and Yao had 28pts,12rebs, and 4blks.
The Lakers had an easy win against the Bucks with Chamberlain leading them with 34pts and Jabbar contributing 30. Magic had 22 asts. Mason had a lot of great dunks but Redd was not effective with Wilkins guarding him. Worthy scored 14pts including 10pts in the last 2 minutes of the 1st quarter. Drexler had 24pts and Wilkins had 16pts, 9rebs, and 5asts.
