hes been starting the past few games, but Kobe's gonna be out 1 week.

the good thing is, my next game is in like 2 weeks! so a lot of time for Kobe to heal

Nice recaps man, L.A's fate now relies on Kobe's Jump shot. Try and change that. The Lakers as young as they are need to learn to feed off each others strengths and not Kobe's 51 point game performance. All thesame a good dynasty. I'll be following up closely. (Y) (Y) (Y)

for those wondering (if any) what has happened to this dynasty:

I don't have NBA Live with me right now. I'm currently in LA on summer vacation. The game, the files and everything else is back at home in the Philippines.

Once I get back, I'm going to resume this right away.

BEHIND THE SCENES: ADJUSTMENTS

Kobe Bryant was walking along the sideline of the Toyota Training Center in El Segundo, unable to do much except run because of his aggravated sprained wrist. He injured it going up for a layup against the Golden State Warriors, and didn't return to the game. His loss had a huge impact on the game, with the Lakers unable to recover for a 110-91 home loss against the Golden State Warriors.

Coach Phil Jackson was overseeing the Lakers scrimmage session along with assistant coach Kurt Rambis and shooting coach Craig Hodges. They were simulating games without Bryant in the lineup, if ever the situation arises.

"With Kobe injured, we have to run the offense through Lamar," Jackson said, observing the 5-on-5. "Not through a perimeter game, though. He's gotta stay down on the block, then everyone should move into position."

"I don't want them to start deferring to Kobe when he gets back on the floor," Jackson continued.

Bryant, meanwhile, was sitting with Sadiku Boyes, telling him to loosen up.

"You gotta be calm out there," he said. "Don't be all serious while playing. It'll affect your game."

Boyes is averaging 8.5 points on 35% shooting from the field.

With Bryant's injury, a lot of adjustments have to be made in regards to the gameplan, and the lineup rotations.

Coaches are having their hands full.

BREAKING NEWS: Stern Announces Lockout

Image
David Stern

NEW YORK (AP)-NBA Commissioner David Stern announced that a second season lockout will take place, halting the regular season briefly. He has yet to discuss the possible reasons to why this has occured.

The first lockout came after the 1997-1998 NBA season, when the NBA and the Players' Union could not come to terms on a new collective bargaining agreement. That lockout shortened the then-82 game season to only 50 games.

Now shortened to only 29 games, Stern has said that no games will be cancelled.

"No scheduled NBA game will be cancelled," he said during his press conference. "They will just be re-scheduled. This lockout will not last as long as the first one did. As of now I will not release the reasons as to why this has occured."

im not quitting this dynasty. i just wanted to give a dynasty-related reason to why this has been delayed. im returning to the Philippines in around 3 weeks.. still a long time..so i thought a lockout would be the best reason

GM LOOKING TO GET RID OF VUJACIC

EL SEGUNDO- During the lockout period, NBA Commissioner David Stern has allowed team front offices to discuss possible transactions. However, none of them can be made official until the lockout period is over.

It is rumored that Lakers General Manager Isaiah Cruz is looking to possibly trade guard Sasha Vujacic. He is averaging 0.33 points, appearing in 6 of the Lakers’ 10 games.

“He has been out of the rotation so far,” Cruz told reporters. “We have 3 point guards, Smush, Derek and Sasha. Both Fisher and Parker have been giving the team solid contributions to the team during games. Smush provides a lot of energy and hot 3-point shooting off the bench while Derek is a leader. Sasha has not been able to fit in with those two playing so well.”

A throw in player might also be included in a trade with Vujacic. Among those who are said to be traded are Aaron McKie and Brian Cook.

DAVID STERN ANNOUNCES END OF NBA LOCKOUT

Image

ATLANTA-NBA Commissioner David Stern announced through TNT's Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley that the month-long lockout that has put the season on hold has finally ended.

"David Stern has decided to end this lockout that we have," Smith said. "He said that the players have learned how to act like professional sportsmen. Stern stated that a number of NBA players have been complaining about how NBA games are decided, and that they threatened to voice out their opinion on it. Nothing more was said."

"Good, we can finally watch basketball again," Barkley said. "I don't get it. Players have been complaining all the time. Losing is part of the game. You win some, you lose some. Just look ahead to the next game. You don't need to complain about it all the time because it'll just ruin your focus as a player, and as a team."
