Keeping the promise alive...

...from the Chronicles of the 2006 Birdie Project: (info)

Heiks's Washington 2006-07 end of season Birdie Breakdown:

the running leaderboard: (view entire list here)

The qualifers:
G. Arenas 25 ppg (ranks 4th)
E. Griffin 10.1 rpg (ranks 5th)
G. Arenas 3.31 spg (ranks 2nd)
A. Jamison 0.545 field goal% (ranks 8th)
E. Griffin 1.76 bpg (ranks 8th)
G. Arenas 8.4 apg (ranks 4th)

So, amazingly enough, Jamison doesn't lead the team in any other category besides field goal %(lots of dunks?!?) but STILL earns Team MVP honors with a weighted Birdie efficiency score of 16.06 - and his 'reversible' Live Card is now enabled.

Tapping into the top 20:
This Dynasty instance is currently ranked #16 on the Official 2006 Birdie Board

Heiks: So, if you catch this message, you might want to drop a line or two on how your Dynasty is doing...as apparently you're a lot farther than most people are...(we still have to encourage Shaun to get at least 1/4 of the way :) ) I take it that H.Drew is one of your rookies  Play the rookie man! Anyway, I guess I don't have to bother you about submitting your next stats, so I'll just wait patiently :)

Note: I know that Heiks no longer posts regarding his dynasty but from I've gathered on messenger, he's still going strong in playing his dynasty... and that's what liveGMC is all about, to encourage everybody and anybody who dabs into Dynasty mode to submit their stats and see how they fare... Everybody should congrat Heiks getting to that 2008 season- which is an accomplish within itself, in amongst a lot of our one year-one off dynasties... AWESOME, HEIKS!

Some sweet information...

The 2007-08 season was a success! I finished the season 23-6 and won the regular season.

I faced the Pierceless (left to TOR) Celtics in the first round, had no big trouble defeating them 2-0.

The second round was a close one with the Nets who defeated me in the semis of '07. This time I managed to keep VC out of the game and snatched two close wins. 2-0.

Conference Finals, Cavs, Hughes (ovrl 88), James (ovrl 99) and a monster down low, Z. Lost the first one 107-97. Won the second one with thw exact same score and managed to keep LBJ just to 17 points in the third game, taking the Wizards to the finals after a very long break.

The top of the west, Denver Nuggets (wtf?) relied on Carmelo Anthony. I decided to let him shoot and neutralize the rest of the team. It worked perfectly - two 15+ wins and the Championship.

:headbang:

Through 2009, Washington's duo of Jamison and Arenas is still going strong and still need to be reckoned with. However, during the midseason check, it appears that Arenas just barely crawls to Team MVP accolades and does this with a weighted Birdie efficiency score of 21.00 - and his 'reversible' and customized LiveCard is now enabled.

Heiks: ...although it was inspired by THE X's long running dynasty!Well, I was looking through NBA.com and noticed the http://www.nba.com/features/behind_the_numbers.html - a feature about the signifance behind the jersey numbers for each player and thought it would be cool to do something similar with one of your genome/generated players...please start thinking of the jersey numbers for your drafted rookies and by the time that season ends(2010) I should have some module/feature code ready... Like I mentioned to The X, come bug me once in awhile and check in on how the programming is coming along... It's kind of an award for GMs that get far into their dynasty and have all these generated players that we now have to develop 'meaning' behind them! Congrats on another top 10 performance and please continue submitting those pstats!

Sat Apr 15, 2006 7:39 am

IT is the PC, as that's the only way he can provide the pstat text files to me for analysis...

... but I could be wrong, Heiks, do you have the game on another platform?
