Nuggets Involved In Two Huge Trades

[1/15/06] The Nuggets made two huge trades on Sunday that sent Kenyon Martin to the Portland Blazers for Zach Randolph and another trade that involved three Denver Nuggets including Voshon Lenard, Bryon Russell, and Earl Watson for Raja Bell, Jim Jackson, and James Jones from the Phoenix Suns. When questioned regarding the trades, General Manager Solomon Reka said the trades will help the team get younger. The Media also talked to him about the Kenyon Martin trade and he said, "Keyon Martin was a huge part of this team offensively and on defense but we felt that we had to move on if we want to win a championship. I believe Zach Randolph is a All star Player who puts up big numbers, last season he was averaging over 20 points before his injury. He will be a big part of this team right now and in the future."

some nice realistic trades there (Y)

1st: would have liked to have seen you stick with Kenyon a bit longer and see how he panned out....ahh well, I guess you wanted more of a low post presence than Kenyon....

2nd: although I hate to see Earl Watson get dealt, you did it to sure up that SG & SF spots....with Raja Bell starting at SG and providing 3's and D, you should be improved....both JJ's will be nice additions to the bench....

overall, nice start even if I would have liked Kenyon to stick in Mile High (Y)

Yea the reason I traded Kenyon this early was because I'm a big fan of Zach Randolph and I like how he is developing into a Allstar Player and the second trade helped me get rid of some old players and bring in Raja Bell who loves to play defense and shoot the three ball and James Jones who is a solid player that can really shoot. I lost Earl Watson but the good thing is I got a good back up gaurd in Earl Boykins who should provide me great scoring off the bench.

you should of kept Watson, he plays well with the other nuggets. Martin is a good power player. I would of kept him for a few games to see how he plays. i guess they are good trades.

lol..if you want to do the same trades in your dynasty, i don't think you really have to ask permission. It's not exactly "his" trades.

DJ, nice trades. I like your trade with Phoenix. You basically gave up Earl Watson for Raja Bell, James Jones and Jimmy Jackson. I like it (Y)

Thanks, I'm glad people agree with my trades. I think I lost very little to get those good players considering I have a good back up PG Earl Boykins to cover that spot. :)
