DREeaZy06- Yeah, good luck with those Knicks. The salary cap's a mess, but at least you have talent to work with...

And finally, the season starts!

GAME 1: New Orleans Hornets (0-0) @ Los Angeles Clippers (2-0)
 Breakdown: Clippers win 98-96 in OT. :( Chris Paul tied the game with a driving layup with 20 seconds left in regulation to force overtime, but the Clippers outplayed New Orleans on their home floor to improve to 3-0 in this young season.
 Key performers: Michael Redd had a great opener with 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists for New Orleans. Rookie Chris Paul also played extremely well, garnering 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Newly acquired C Alonzo Mourning was a force in the paint with 15 rebounds and 3 blocks. But Elton Brand did the most damage out of a well-balanced Clippers team, tallying 20 points and 14 rebounds.
 Hornets' Record: 0-1

You could try http://www.atspace.com. It has something like 50 MB of free space, and if you're uploading 5 KB text files that should be plenty.

Too bad about the loss, man, can't wait for the next game.

Thanks DREeaZy06 and Negative One- I'm going to try out that site you said (and DREeaZy06- maybe you want to too  )

And to all: I've finished my lineup with these next two trades. I decided to get the roster set now so I can get used to both the game and my players over the course of the season...

NEW ORLEANS HORNETS TRANSACTION #3

Breaking News: The Hornets have agreed to trade Chris Paul, Chris Andersen, and Bostjan Nachbar to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Andres Nocioni, Michael Sweetney, and Jannero Pargo. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

NO GETS:
ImageAndres Nocioni- versatile finess/power player, gritty defender, good spot-up shooter, suprising athleticism

ImageMichael Sweetney- solid low-post scorer, full of strength, good rebounder

ImageJannero Pargo- sparkplug bench scorer, can fill it up in a hurry

CHI GETS:

ImageCoach Bryon Scott's Analysis:This was a big trade, obviously, and one that's bound to be very controversial due to us dealing Chris Paul to the Bulls. But I think you'll be happily surprised with the 3 players we got in return. We really needed an inside presence, and Mike Sweetney fits the bill with a solid inside game. Plus throw in the fact that he's a really solid rebounder, and we're really excited about Sweets in the middle.

With Jannero Pargo, we have a PG who can fill it up off the bench as well as anyone in the league. Don't be surprised to see 15-20 point games from Jannero once and awhile. I view him as a great asset to have on a contending team, which must have solid bench play.

Finally, New Orleans fans are going to see Andres Nocioni in a Hornet uniform, and he's going to be a favorite of theirs, no doubt in my mind. Andres is a rugged defender, who likes to mix it up with the PFs and Cs down low. But he's versatile enough to guard 2s and 3s, too. He's just a tenacious defender, and with Alonzo Mourning to clean up whatever Noce doesn't, our defense is going to be awesome.

And Nocioni is an underrated offensive performer, too. He's an above-average spot-up shooter, and his strength and athleticism results in him being able to score in the paint, too.

So everything about these three guys are just solid, and our team is going to be much better because of them. Paul is an explosive player, but the overall deal went in our favor, I believe. We'll see what happens on the court.

Giving up Paul isn't a good idea, I'm sorry to say. I don't think that was a great idea.

Just wait and see guys 8-) Paul has potential, but I'm just playing a single season here, so that really doesn't count. I'm trying to have the best team right now, so hopefully this deal strengthened my entire team a lot.

hey now that's not exactly what I would call constructive criticism

Well as you all proabably have seen in the Live 2004 Dynasty Issues, I lost this Hornets season due to technical difficulties. I thought it was going to be a successful season, but I've decided to switch to my hometown Bulls, as they've got me excited over them again with their 2 game winning streak after losing 8 in a row

So that's it for the Hornets...but I plan on sticking with the Bulls, and making it a great season. See you all over there!

Whoever said I want to give constructive criticism?
Constructive be damned! :P

Admit it bullsfan, the reason you started a new dynasty with the Bulls is because you know you made a very big mistake by trading Chris Paul.
