Timberwolves sign 3 Assistant coaches.

At a press conference today, newly assigned Timberwolves GM Zak Trent, has officially announced that the rumours of 3 assistant coaches were true.
“ The team has talent that’s not being used. With the departure of Sam (Cassell) and Spree, the others now have to step up.”
The media was stunned that at such a young age of 18, the maturity of his actions.

“I know I’m young, very young at that but I wont be in complete control of everything. All I do is organise enough things just so I can do a little school work.”

“ I’ve signed the three coaches because their specialists. We need strength, shooting abilities and just overall work.”

But the question is, can he pull it off? With an injury all the time, a new starting lineup every match and getting 14mil and not being able to feed your kids? We can only wait and see.

TWOLVES @ GRIZZLIES
Image @ Image

Players To Watch

Image vs Image

Both being great scorers and very versatile around the court, this will be a battle for stats and pride.

1st Quarter

The Tip-off was in the Twolves favour. Szczerbiak was in rhythm, throwing an alley-oop pass to KG for the slam. The Grizzlies got over it and Battier hit two 3's and a jumper within a minute.

Memphis lead 18-22

2nd Quarter

Anthony Carter came off the bench for a tired Jaric and a cold Hudson. After only 4 minutes, this 3rd in command PG scored 4 points, 2 steals and 2 rebs before subbing. Not even this was enough to get the Grizzlies down. Pau Gasol stepped up and scored 8 in the quarter and yanked down some rebounds all due to lacklustre defense.

Players to watch- Gasol (12PTS, 9REBS, 1AST) Olowakandi (12PTS, 6REBS)

Memphis lead 45-46

3rd Quarter

Kevin Garnett and Carter stayed for the whole quarter, dishing out assists like cupcakes and points like there was no tomorrow. Fast breaks ruled this quarter, wearing the whole team out. Memphis stayed on task and let Gasol take over the game. Stoudemire got in there too, dishing out some assists along with Bobby Jackson.

Memphis lead 63-69

$th Quarter(Money in the bag)

Gasol showed everyone how he got those rookie awards all those years ago and eventually, Killing at the defensive end due to the Kandi mans lack of effort to stay on him. Szczerbiak and McCants failed miserably, shooting 20% at the 3 and 30% inside the arc.

Final Score: 90-97

BTW im actually 12, just having a 18 year old Gm is a little more realistic than a 12 year old one.

Vince Carter flying high
Does anyone dunk from the free throw line anymore? Sure, in the Dunk Contest but in a match?

Crowds were stunned that after a long pass from fellow team mate Jeff McCinnis, the well known dunker of our time Vince Carter decided to try it.
" I just thought 'what the hell?'." said Carter today after the match. " I knew i could dunk, i was well aware of course, but to try it from the free throw line in a match was something i thought i might try. It was a win-win situation seeing as if i missed, it'll be a laugh. If I got it in, Hall of Fame "
Vince Carter has been averaging 27points this season, and is expecting to go higher.
"If I can get 27 and shoot like, 2 threes in a match like I have lately, surely my team will understand if i go for 4 or maybe 5."

Looking at the wolves starting lineup and 1st 2 bench guys, I'm thinking they're a good team(minus kandi and maybe jaric), but then I look at the rest.

Starting Lineups

"I didn't perform at a sufficient level, so I have been informed that I will be watching this match from the stands." Rookie Rashad McCants commenting on his poor shooting on Friday night.

Minnesota

PG. Marko Jaric

Chicago

C. Tyson Chandler
PF. Mike Sweetney
SF. Andres Nocioni
SG. Kirk Hinrich
PG. Chris Duhon

Players To Watch
Image & Image

Hassell will have to play great defence to try and keep Hinrich under control. Having an amazing defender and an explosive scorer should be great to watch.

1st Quarter

A very tight quarter with Ben Gordon only getting 2mins of play. Duhon is explosive with his 3 assists and three shooting, but having to pick up after the rest of his team.

Image
Driving to the basket

The Twolves however are alive on both ends of the court with Garnett getting 2 blocks, 3 Rebounds and a few points to go with it. Too many three point attempts ruins a lead into the second quarter.

Tied 20-20

2nd Quarter
With a tired out force, the Twolves not being able to keep up with the Bulls scoring a staggering 38 points in the 2nd. Hinrich getting the dishes and scoring done for the Bulls.

The Twolves stuck in there, getting a very worthy 29 points but not able to keep up.

Bulls lead 49-58

Image
6th man Ben Gordon calling a play

3rd Quarter

Not a real deal of statistics except for...KEVIN GARNETTS 3 BLOCKS! Rejecting Chris Duhon 2 times and Tyson Chandler once, Garnett was on fire with another tonne of rebounds and points. Carter dishing out 2 in the quarter all due to fast breaks.

Bulls Lead 76-89

Image
Pushing throught the defence

$th Quarter
With the younger guys stepping up (Tskitishvili, Griffin) all scoring a reasonable amount of points, all lead to lead change and eventually an extra quarter called Overtime.

Tied 110-110

Image
Keeping a positive face, forward Tim Thomas Prepares for the expected nailbiter.

OT1

Most entertaining quarter ever. Somehow the Wolves managed to scrape in 27 points in 5 mins. 15 all due to Garnett and the younglings. The Bulls only managed 17 points and had the chances but the Twolves somehow did it, not having a lead the whole game.

Image
Wally World for the fadeaway. " 30 points isn't too bad. I think coach is gonna be a little quiet now."

McCants On the Reserve list for Chicago game

Image
A sarcastic smile as McCants shurggs off a remark made by a reporter

"I couldnt believe it." That was all that 1st Round pick Rashad could say after only one game, being put on the Reserves list.
"I wasnt happy. I don't think that anyone who gets the update would be all that happy."

After shooting a dismal 20% from inside the arc, the Twolves GM Zak Trent had this to say. " Chicago are strong. They have a lot of talent and are potentially championship winners in the next year or two. To have a potential rookie with glimpses of some of the great shooters in our team, this was a surprise to a lot of us. He didn't just shoot bad, he hogged it and had too many turnover/minute."

"If little things like this are going to put you on the reserve list, I'm the worst player the world as ever seen," says Kevin Garnett after hearing the news. "I think that...just give him a chance. He ain't bad and everyone has their bad days"

Twolves will be hosting the Philadelphia 76'ers at the Target Center in Minneapolous on FSN.
update soon if anyone wants to encourage me

Good dynasty man keep it up dw ill be reading

Sun Dec 25, 2005 10:31 am

oh nice.
you should take more pictures

Sun Dec 25, 2005 5:02 pm

yea man, I read, just not really post :P But yea. You should make a trade at some point. Stir things up, make some interest. I'd say after this season go after Ben Wallace using the space from Olo's money and any spare you have.

Sun Dec 25, 2005 7:35 pm

about those trade and stuff, i screwed up a trade real bad... hassell was peforming well but had gotten traded to voshon lenard. ill give an update soon but i hate lenard!!! hes so dominating from the 3. i hate dominating guys. i don mind the truth and AI dominance but when you shoot 6/7, its getting kinda annoying. anyone got trade suggestions? in the meanwhile, i'll try to get that update done sometime very soon...maybe 2moz morning aight? i just have to play with my xmas presents lol

Sun Dec 25, 2005 8:17 pm

ah what the hell? ill update now. and by pics, do you mean th real life pics of them or in game pics? coz its pictures of a tele and it doesnt look all that pretty

Hassell traded for Lenard

In a strange turn of events, after the Twolves starting G was on the top of the trade list, after a training session yesterday, coach Dwayne Casey wants the deal called off.
" He's just a slow starter," said Twolves head coach Dwayne Casey. "He's been getting assists, his shooting has improved and he's just flat out fast on the court."

Having after that conference being traded to Denver in exchange for the Nuggets sniper Voshon Lenard, the Twolves staff and players are not happy.
"To exhange an awesome shot and experience over a developing shot, a quick player, young talent and great passing is just plain stupid," said assistant coach, Avery Chou. "Hassell is also a great guy. He makes jokes of his mistakes and hasn't really caused too much of a Hassell (laughs). But he is easy to train and for that I am grateful."

After being shocked that the trade actually went through, Hassell had this to say. "What the F*ck?" the media laughed. Trenton walked off after only being there for a minute.

Sun Dec 25, 2005 10:06 pm

how come all your trades and moves upset the team?

Mon Dec 26, 2005 1:10 pm

^
well the McCants thing was for controversy...well you see, i'll be adding other opinions but im trying to get to the emotion of the team instead of a huge story where i playt a 1 on 1 with hudson or something. its meant to be a half half on what the media sees and what the coach and the team is thinking just to clear things up. i'll get better with the writing part later but im trying to get the formatting solid and entertaining by having small quarter things and pics. i realised that with other dynasties on this board, i look at the pics and the scores. if some dynasties had a brief of the quarter instead of the whole game, its easier.

actually on that thought, do you guys like the formatting. improvementS? any help would be appreciated and keep you guys entertained

Expert Thoughts

"After the recent trade of Trenton Hassell for Voshon Lenard stirred up a hornets nest. We have 3 All Stars here with us today. Steve Kerr, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Clyde Drexler.

Steve- "Well I think I know were the Wolves were going with this but he has been performing well lately. The Wolves do a need a strong shooter from behind the arc so I think it's a good trade. Not the best I've seen but it benefits both teams."

Host- "No fence sitting Steve."

Steve- "It's a good trade.

Host- "Kareem?"

Kareem- " I really don't like it. As Avery Chou said, your trading an new dog for an old dog. Lenard isn't probably the best starter in my opinion but who can they seriously have instead?"

Host- " And Clyde?"

Clyde- " I would have to agree with Kareem. As the old saying goes, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks." I don't think that any of us really mean to say that lenard is an old man or a dog at that, but his years are coming and really, he can only shoot. Hassell had a bit more versatility.

Tue Dec 27, 2005 2:54 pm

my brother screwed up my dynasty. he thought it was his. he traded and released like everyone and saved the lil bastard. i have to start again dammit.

well same as follows at the top of the page just that i released bracey wright and dwayne jones. useless player that i couldnt be stuffed training. i have mccants and hassell and other guys that are more important.

Timberwolves Release Assistant Coach

After no improvements of the players after training camp, Ast. coach Avery Chou was released today.

"If you can't even do your job, your just taking up space when there are other which can do a better job." said Twolves Coach Dwayne Casey.

Avery Chou will be replaced by Argentinian born Elias Triki.
