Grizz look to rebound against Wizards
November 28, 2005
The Memphis Grizzlies are now 1-1 with their star point guard Allen Iverson, who seemed to be out of it on offense against the Toronto Raptors. Allen Iverson only scored 16 points but he added 9 assists and 8 steals, the Grizzlies still lost the game though. The Grizzlies need to work on the long stretches where they go without any production on the offensive end, which happens mostly when AI is on the bench resting. "That was a heartbreaker against Toronto, but we gonna come out like a new team against Washington", Allen Iverson said.

Iverson is averaging only 19 points this season.
The Grizzlies need to step up their defense on three point shooters, because that's what put them down by eight points at the end of the third quarter against Toronto. The Grizzlies play the Washington Wizards tonight, another up and coming team in the National Basketball Association. The Wizards are 3-3 and are looking to go over .500 when they visit the FedExForum, but the Grizzlies seem determined to get over .500 themselves. "I gave the team a long speech, and hopefully they will respond.", Hubie Brown said. The Grizzlies have three tough matchups, and will have to play extremely hard to overcome Washington's offensive assault.
The Wizards picked Scottie Janson fourth overall in the 2005 draft and the small foward has looked very good so far. He's averaging 11.2ppg, 11.3rpg, 4.3 assists, and is looking to be a rookie of the year canidate at the end of the year. Not only will the Grizzlies have to deal with him but they'll also have their hands full with the Wizards leading scorer Antwan Jamison along with Larry Hughes and Gilbert Arenas.
