Heart-Breaking Loss at Texas
HOUSTON (AP) --- Yesterday, the
Phoenix Suns defeated the
Houston Rockets, 99-96, at the Toyota Center (Houston).
Shawn Marion led the way for the Suns with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists.
"It was a nice game,"
Mike D'Antoni said. "Shawn and Amare (Stoudemire), both had a great night, both controlled the rebounds and Yao didn't get much of them."
Stoudemire had 17 points and 8 rebounds.
Steve Nash, starting, and
Kurt Thomas, off the bench, had 19 and 17 points respectively. Nash also had 12 assists, and Thomas, 9 rebounds.
"All was teamwork," Nash added.

Tracy McGrady scored 34 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the Rockets;
Luther Head had 19 points and 8 rebounds.
Ricky Davis and
Mike James had 9 points each.
Reggie Evans only had 3 points, but grabbed 14 rebounds.
