ROSTERS: Opening Night 2004-2005

NOVEMBER 2004 RECAP

After entering the season with a 3-0 start, washington wizards were our guests though wade had foul trouble shaq daddy was on fire, scoring 37 points and 13 rebounds as miami crushed washington 116-83.
Then miami came all the way from east to wild wild west where it was at dallas first. The Heat lost by 1 point. After the wizards game, the 2nd game i played in november was at spurs. This time wade hadnt foul trouble while shaq and eddie jones scored 30 points each. Shaq also had 14 rebounds as heat defeated spurs heavily to gain a 5-1 record. After going 5-2 in mid-november to total a 10-3 record, miami went to motown to face the defending champs pistons. Though a bad start, miami could recover and win 105-96 where shaq had 34 pts 13 reb. Heat won the two remaining games in november and went 13-3 in this month. (NBA-best)

Are you going to continue with the other 2 dynasties you just started or are they over in lieu of this one?

In any regard, good luck and have fun.

I intervened the first 10 games of december where heat went 9-1. With a 22-4 record total i selected celtics as the first game i will play in this month. But before that i made a couple of trades:

December 2: Heat traded matt freije, jerome beasley and wang zhizhi to Timberwolves for eddie griffin. Eddie is a big-sized PF/SF who can shoot from the outside as well inside and can rebound additionally.
He will be very useful.

December 16: What a big trade. Heat traded eddie jones, udonis haslem and malik allen to Clippers for elton brand and mamadou n'diaye.
Elton was star player of LAC with a 82 overall rating. Although he is 6'8 which means a little undersized he is a great rebounder, shotblocker and he is very strong. Mamadou is a 7-footer with great reb and blk ability.

Any comments on these trades i made are welcome.

CELTICS RECAP

Well the heat was on fire that game, with the acquisitions of griffin and brand, the team looks great. And so was it as heat held boston to 9 first quarter points and scored 23. Payton leaded celtics to a 27-27 tie for 2nd qtr.(50-36 Heat at halftime) Elton and Shaq started to dominate more and Wade contributed with every power to conclude 3rd quarter 77-56 in front then mamadou stepped off the bench to fire the team made a block a couple of rebounds and points. Heat defeated celtics 99-80. Shaq had 17 pts 15 reb and Elton added 20 pts 9 reb. Griffin had 10 pts and Damon Jones had 11. But the biggest impact vs. celtics was d-wade who had 25 pts 7 ass 4 reb 3 stl and here he takes it to the rim:

As i am processing thru late-december, there was a 2 game california trip where heat lost 109-99 at sac-town first. Then shaq was back in L.A. to face kobe and lakers. I played that game and box-score is below so i dont need to tell anything. Then heat won 107-87 vs. hawks at home. Heat has a 25-5 record. Next up are defending champs pistons who will face my heat team in palace of auburn hills. I will play this game as the last one in december.
Anyway i got a PDA message from team owner telling i should be scouting some players. So ill spend a bit of my time next for this and recap it respectively.

I open the recap with Shaq the big fella who honored me again. Here he goes:

Well when miami visited detroit as the last game of december and the year 2004, detroit was suffering an injury that is rip hamilton. So lindsey hunter started at pg and chauncey billups started as sg. With not too much rebounding by both sides, miami won 105-81 at the palace to close out the month and the year.
Like a joke, miami lost to charlotte bobcats at home with a tiny margin then i played first game in january where heat hosted sonics. Another blowout and heat won (27-6) then miami started to fall and went 1-6 prior to facing indiana at home well shaq was on fire that game double-doubling with 34 pts 10 reb elton did it too with 22 pts 11 reb and dwayne wade did a double-double too with 10 pts 12 ass. Miami won 110-90 in this game i played and they will face sixers in philly which i will play as the last game in january.
As for the standings, miami has a second best 29-12 record (minnesota is the best with 29-10). Miami leads the eastern conference with that record.
I didnt made any trades or signings after the elton brand trade. But i tried to get a 1st round draft pick from a weaker team for draft 2005 which is predicted to be very good. A top-10 selection guy would be welcome in heat roster. I tried to negotiate with bulls and bobcats they said they're not interested in that. I think i can trade eddie griffin for that because he averages very less in points.

After going 29-12 in first half of regular season miami heat headed to the city of brotherly love to face iverson and sixers. Heat could overcome sixers with the all-around game of shaq who had 28 pts 9 reb 2 ass 2 blk 1 stl and dwayne wade double-doubled with 18 pts 10 ass. Additionally, 7 players scored in double figures (starting lineup plus rasual butler and wesley person). Heat won 112-83 at philly and improved the record to 30-12. Then heat won 1 and lost 2. The record is now an east-best 31-14 prior to facing yao t-mac and rockets in miami which should be very exciting.
In other news, i made a couple of transactions. I traded keyon dooling and michael doleac to pacers for swingman stephen jackson. Jackson is a good shooter whom i plan to use instead of low-scoring eddie griffin at SF spot. I needed a backup playmaker so i signed florida native anthony goldwire. His mid- and long-range shots are good. With the departure of michael doleac i needed a big guy so i signed jamal sampson who was waived by bobcats. I like jamal cause he is a good rebounder off the bench and can play both PF and C.
Here is my final roster at the end of january 2005:

Miami was still on fire as yao led his rockets into town. Miami won 115-92 where shaq-elton-wade trio had a double-double each but the biggest impact was newly acquired stephen jackson who scored 38 pts and shot 7/15 from downtown. Heat has a 32-14 record after that game. Next up the heat will visit dallas to face the mavs and i will play that game.
