Game Summary (Win 108-89)
This game saw complete domination by Boston on both ends of the court with Paul Pierce getting a career high in points for 53 points in the game. LeBron James led Cleveland with 24 points to bring Cleveland down to 4-9 for the season a dissapointing start for the young and hopeful team. Pierce was interviewed after the game and he had this to say, "We're really starting to get together as a unit and really understand what teams are trying to bring at us. We are a young team and still have a lot to learn but I'm happy with the results so far. As far as LeBron, he is a great player but he's got to do some work to match my level of play."

Player Scouting

Postby bbalboy on Tue Mar 08, 2005 5:51 am

Boston reported to be scouting rookies early
The youth movement for Boston seems to not be stopping after this year. Scouts for Boston have been actively scouting players most notably the center position. Players who have been scouted by Boston have been Vonte Audet a 7'1" center, Brody Dillon a 7'0" center, as well a small forward Rupert Hammonds and point guard Bill Gamble. Most time has been spent with Vonte Audet who currently is projected to go late in the first round.

Boston (9-4) @ Orlando (6-7) Win (100-97)

Postby bbalboy on Tue Mar 08, 2005 6:17 am

Game Summary (Win 100-97):
This game was close throughout but Boston's talent prevailed in this one with Pierce taking the final few shots and making them count against Steve Francis and company. Boston took a few injuries to their players most notably Gary Payton who left in the first quarter with a sore back. Tom Gugliotta was also injured in this game but is not used much by Boston. It will be interesting to see how Gary and Boston recover from this injury which will also give Doc Rivers a closer look at his younger point guards Marcus Banks and Delonte West. Paul Pierce was interviewed after the game and he had this to say:
"The team fought hard and we fought hard, with these distractions in Florida not many teams can say they leave the state without losing but we have and that's a huge accomplishment for us and this team. I hope Gary and Tom have a speedy recovery but I'm sure we'll pick up the load while they're gone."
