During the series, NBA announced that Josh Smith was Defensive Player of the Year. but lose to Celtics dramatically in 2nd round, 3-4 from 3-1. Chicago Bulls won NBA Championship defeating San Antonio Spurs, with Derrick Rose taking Finals MVP. Tom Thibodeau was Coach of the Year.

Then our dinosaur Jerry Stackhouse is retired. Shaquille O'Neal became a Hall of Fame nominate.
