Doc Rivers walks into Danny Ainge's office.

Ainge: Sit down Doc

Ainge: Well first off let me congratulate you on one of the best coaching jobs I have ever seen. I mean we had every possible problem thrown at us, and you still kept these guys together.

Doc: Thanks, Danny and let me be the first to say you were right.

Ainge: Right about what?

Doc: Making me sign Iverson, he carried us through the playoffs, I was wrong about him.

Ainge: Well I'm right now and again (laughs), now let's talk about the future, what do you think?

Doc: well we got Pierce coming back from injury, we already extended Marquis, we lost Joe, Eddie, and Pip to retirement. We also have to decide if we are going to pick up options on Iverson, Jermareo, and Rice. KG's contract is up as well.

Ainge: There is no doubt, we are picking up Iverson's option. Here's the thing Doc, we are not keeping KG and Paul, I am going to leave the choice up to you, but I will be making calls around the league, and another thing to get rid of either one I'm sure we will have to package Bass with them.

Doc: I'm not happy about this Danny, both of those guys deserve to retire here.[/center]
