Sixers destroy Pacers on opening night 113-88
Wachovia Center, philadelpia PA - Eddy Curry led the new look sixers to a dominating performance against the indiana pacers. Curry who had one of the best games of his career and maybe his best all around performance ever finished with 25 pts, 14 rebs, 3 blocks and 3 assists. Sixers all star Kobe Bryant also finished with 23 pts, 3 rebs, and 4 assists. Ron Artests did a good defensive job on Bryant forcing bryant to shoot 8/25 from the field. Despite Artest's defense, Eddy Curry set kobe good picks to help kobe hit a couple of treys. The sixers interior defense humbled the pacers big man including all star pf Jermaine O'neal to only 16 pts and 7 rebs. Tinsley and Artest led the pacers in offfense with 21 and 18 pts. respectively.
The first half of the game was actually tight with the sixers only leading by 5. but leb by 13 3rd quarter points by Curry, the sixers outscored the pacers in the 32d quarter 30 - 24. The sixers then maintained their lead to finish the game 113-88.
