“Good evening once again ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the opening night of the 2010-2011 NBA season!! Kevin Harlan here alongside Clark Kellog as we get set for tonight’s action. It’s going to be the Minnesota Timberwolves versus The Sacramento Kings here in the Target Center in Minneapolis.” Kevin Harlan said. “Tonight’s match up will be huge. I mean it’s a battle of Point Guards from last year’s draft, though I think that Tyreke Evans is more of a two guard. Johnny Flynn versus Tyreke Evans seems like a juicy sweet match up, hahaha, isn’t it Kevin?” “It most certainly will be Clark, but first let’s see if Flynn will be able to play tonight. Here is Doris Burke delivering to you the latest news from courtside, Doris?” as Kevin went off air.
“Guys, the Timberwolves have reported that their trainers have cleared Johnny Flynn to play in tonight’s game. He was out on their last exhibition game due to a stomach virus that caused him to vomit. He is now ready to play and on the starting lineup. Back to you guys.” “Well isn’t this good news Clark? We truly will be able to see that match up tonight.” Kevin said. “That’s right Kevin and I’m excited.” Replied Clark. “Well then, let’s get this party started. Let’s go courtside for the player introductions.”

The players are now getting ready for tip off and kick start the NBA season.
Johnny Flynn went to work right awayThe Wolves started out rusty as they were never able to find the their ryhthm in the first quarter. They shot the ball at 42% while the Kings shot at 55%.The Kings’ offense were fluid, recording 15 assists in the first quarter alone and jumped to a 32-18 lead going into the second quarter. But Johnny Flynn would answer the call in the second quarter despite foul trouble. He and Michael Beasley helped the Wolves claw their way back and cut the lead to 9 entering halftime despite trailing the most by 20 points. Flynn finished the half recording 15 points 6 assists but had 5 turnovers. The Kings’ Evans led their team scoring 13 points along with 3 assists. “We just need to keep our composure and slowly start clawing our way back man, I know we can do this.” Flynn said during the halftime interview.
Monster block by Webster in the first quarterBy the end of the third quarter, The Wolves have tied the score to 82-82 and has got the looks of a classic. Two young guards battle it out keeping their respective teams alive. Flynn and Beasley helped the Wolves take the lead, but Flynn fouled out with 5:08 remaining in the fourth quarter, and the Kings leading 94-93. Evans decided to take over the game but ran into a monster block by Martell Webster. Michael Beasley instead, took over hitting clutch baskets. The Kings had one final chance to win with 15 seconds left and the Wolves leading 105-104, but the shot by Evans rimmed off leading to a Wolves win on opening night. “Even though I wasn’t able to help my team late in the fourth quarter, I was glad they came through, especially Michael (Beasley). Coach had always preached to us about keeping our composure, especially at tough times and it paid off tonight.” Johnny Flynn said after the game. He finished with 27 points and a career high 12 assists. Beasley also finished the game strong tallying in 23 points along with 12 rebounds. “And that’s it ladies and gentlemen, we had a great thriller tonight but the Wolves were able to come back and get the win. Until next time, this is Kevin Harlan and in behalf of my partner Clark Kellog and Doris Burke, I wish you all a good night, here from downtown Minneapolis.
