Even before the Miami and Boston game, word leaked out that a trade has been discussed involving Brendan Haywood of the Dallas Mavericks. Sources close to both teams have stated that a trade deal is underway that would send Brendan Haywood to Miami for Miami's own, Eddie House, Joel Anthony & Jamaal Magloire.

This trade hasn't been set in stone yet as it seems Dallas is looking to make a counter offer. Dallas sources stated that Dallas will accept the trade if Miami is willing top include their 2011 2nd round draft pick along with House, Anthony & Magloire. In return, Dallas will send Haywood, their 2012 2nd round draft pick and Tim Thomas' expiring contract. Jon and the Miami Heat will have until the end of the week to decide if the trade is fair but look for them to make their decision sooner as they will have Orlando coming to town in a few days. That would be an ideal start for Haywood in Miami as he will go up against Dwight Howard.

Last year, Haywood averaged 9.1 PPG, 9.3 RPG and 2.1 BPG as he split time between Washington and Dallas. This would be a great move for Miami as they will need some true big bodies to go up against the likes of Dwight Howard & Kendrick Perkins in the East and Andrew Bynum in the West.

Trade outlook:
Miami sends [PG] Eddie House, [C] Jamaal Magloire, [C] Joel Anthony, 2011 2nd round draft pick.
Miami receives [C] Brendan Haywood, [SF] Tim Thomas, 2012 2nd round draft pick.

Dallas sends [C] Brendan Haywood, [SF] Tim Thomas, 2012 2nd round draft pick.
Dallas receives [PG] Eddie House, [C] Jamaal Magloire, [C] Joel Anthony, 2011 2nd round draft pick.

I think after the trade, this could become your starting line up only, Haywood could start at C and Bosh goes back to the 4. Sorry, Haslem - back to the bench.

LeBron starting at the point is probably the best thing the Heat could do for the team right now. The trade you just made has stretched the point guard position quite thin. Since you have a reliable SF in Mike Miller, LeBron can start at point guard and all is good.

IMO that trade idea of yours is bad and Mavs will benefit more. Anthony is a block monsturr, House can shoot the lights up and you'll only receive Haywood and veteran Thomas.

Ok so after much debating, I've turned the other way. However, I was looking into a deal that could send Roy Hibbert to us for a package containing Ilgauskas plus another center and draft pick

Fast opinions appreciated! (Y)

MIAMI HEAT [1-0] @ BOSTON CELTICS [0-1]

Wade Leads Miami With 28 In Win Over Boston

Player of the Game

#3 Dwyane Wade
28 points || 2 rebounds || 4 assists || 1 block || 3 turnovers

Boston, MA (AP)- If there was any question as to who's team this is, Dwyane Wade has answered that question. Wade started in his first game since his hamstring injury and boy did he heal fast as he scored 28 points to lead all scorers as the Heat defeated the Celtics in what was a great defensive game.

For Miami, the Big Three looked as if they can handle being on one team as Bosh had 20 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists, whereas James added 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. As expected, the offense of the Miami Heat came from Bosh, Wade & James and luckily for the Heat, each one came through. However, it wasn't the offense that got the job done. Miami's defense forced 10 turnovers (5 of which came from Rajon Rondo) and limited the Celtics to just 27 of 64 shooting from the field.

"I just let the game come to me," Wade said after the game, "Boston played some tough D and it was hard to get out of the double teams they were setting." Wade, who is currently being bothered by his off-court problems with his ex-wife has shown that that issue has not affected his game and that he's ready to play. "Seeing him out there playing the way he played with everything going on shows just how strong the guy is," Lebron James stated, "This is Dwyane's team and he proved that tonight. He helped us win this one by putting the game away at the end."

Boston's Big Three, being led by Garnett's 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals, showed signs of age as they simply could not handle the young Big Three in Miami. Pierce had 13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists and Allen was held to 6 of 16 shooting ending the night with 14 points, 4 rebounds and a steal. If Boston is looking to make another deep run into the Playoff's then Rondo will need to step up his scoring. Rondo ended the night with 4 points and 8 assists but had a terrible 5 turnovers against Miami's tough defense.

"Miami was just fast for us," Pierce said, "They beat on every possession and in the end, they held their own. We tried to fight back but Wade was simply too hot for us." Garnett went on to add, "Their defensive intensity is what caught me off guard. Holding us to a mere 68 points is not easy to do and if anything, it's usually US holding the opposing team to low scores. Miami gave it to us today and all we can do now is learn and move on."

Other notes: Behind Boston's Big Three, Shaquille O'Neal came fourth in scoring with 7 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block. Joel Anthony had a quiet defensive night with 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Miami's Big Three went to the free throw line a combined 19 times against the entire Boston team that went to the line only 14 times. Dwyane Wade made 4 of 8 three point attempts as that marks one of his best three point shooting nights of more than 3 attempts.

Miami Pulls Big Trade Sending Hibbert to Miami
Courtesy of NBA.com

Image

Miami, FL (AP)- In an attempt to help Miami compete with the bigs of both the East and Western conference, GM Jon has pulled a trade that has sent Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert to Miami.

In the trade, Miami has packaged center's Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Juwan Howard plus a 2011 1st round draft pick and a 2012 2nd round draft pick. In return, the Miami Heat will receive center, Roy Hibbert and power forward Solomon Jones. It appears Miami will most likely waive Jones since he is in the last year of his contract as Hibbert is the crucial piece.

"Knowing how the Playoff's work, we will need a big center to play against the likes of Dwight Howard, Kendrick Perkins and Andrew Bynum," Jon stated in an interview. "Hibbert is young and has a lot of potential to grow along with Bosh, Wade and James. I think this will be a great experience for him." Jon's experience comes from helping Miami acquire Shaq from the Lakers a few season ago under Pat Riley. Though they did not win the title that year, they did win it the next.

Since this trade comes just before the Heat's match-up against the 76ers, they will be without Ilgauskas and Howard as, according to league rules, players can not play once they have been dealt to another team. This mean that Miami will be running a two center rotation between Joel Anthony and Jamaal Magloire. Don't be surprised if Bosh plays a little center to help that position out.

However, Hibbert will be available just in time for Miami's home opener against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic which will be a crucial first game for Hibbert and a big game for Miami as a team.

Other notes: Hibbert has averaged 9.5 PPG, 4.7 RPG and 1.4 BPG in his career with the Pacers.

Hey guys, just an FYI, i do intend to add team stats for my game previews. However, I'm waiting to finish this month off so teams could get some games in before adding it.

I will be adding box scores and players stats to my results from now on and after this month I will be mixing up the games I play and the games I sim so look out for that as well.

Deuces!

The deal is "kinda" equal, but you are giving the Pacers two old guys for the franchise's future center. But great deal for you (Y)

Can't wait for the opener!

Yeah I know, seeing that I'm already thin at the SG, SF and PF position I had to either give up a Center or a Point Guard and Indiana already have Collison and TJ Ford and I had to look at the players as far as contracts also. So the only thing I had was Ilgauskas and Howard plus two 1st round picks in 11' and 12' draft.

Sorry, but that trade is by far unrealistic!
No GM except for David Kahn Gould pull the trigger on that deal.

Why?
Because Roy Hibbert is their future franchise center, and what do you give them?
You give them Z and Jamaal plus a firstrounder, which you can pretty sure expect in the mid or late 20's.

A team looking for a rebuild, MAYBE would do that. But the Pacers - no, and you know that.

BTW - Great deal for your team ;)

This deal is iffy in terms of fairness, for me at least.
However, you included the draft picks, which actually balances it out quite nicely.

Other than that, I'm liking your presentation a lot.

As everyone else said. This trade ain't fair. Actually you do not have one players (except the Thrice) that the Pacers could really need.
