Cleveland wins, You play without injuries?... (N)

Yeah i play without injuries because i enjoy training players more than anything in the game, and when one of the players that i'm training gets injured, the assistant stops training him, and i want my players to improve in different abilities.

Timberwolves new rosterA big upgrade is needed timberwolves are still struggeling

Freestyle superstars-Jonny Flynn is really emerging as a star he's improved a lot

As you can see we need more scorers so i have to assign my assistants to work on this team's offensive skills, hopefully my players will improve a lot offensively.

We are currently working on our young players in offense and defense, but the main thing we need is more offense and that's why we have a shooter assistant. We can't really make any trades, at least not 2 for 1 deals or 3 for 2 deals because no team has roster space.

Hopefully we can get some good rookies in this years upcoming draft and hopefully our team will be improved next year, we may not sign some players who are free agents so that we can sign some better players who can play defense. We are looking for defense this offseason in terms of signing players, and we'll try to trade for some offensive players.

One rookie drafted to replace Yao Ming in the future
Image

Offseason transactions
Wolves sign point gaurd Colby Robertson who is a good passing point gaurd
Wolves didn't resign Yao Ming on purpose so we could sign someone, but we did sign Yao Ming from the free agent market

Trades
Wolves made a big trade with the chicago bulls

Bulls get shooting gaurd J.J. Redick and center Jeffrey Flores
Wolves get James Johnson and Darren Collison

The wolves no longer have Jonny Flynn because during last season he was involved in a trade with a league leader at the time who was scoring over 20 points a game, Hakim Warrick. Warrick has one year left on his contract.

We feel we made the right choice in obtaining Darren as he can still develop plus we have a good 19 year old 7'1 center who will probably be in the league for the next 15 years. Our center can develop into a superstar with lots of training, we have a good staff. We have a training assistant head coach with a b- development grade and two good assistants with high grades in the abilities that we want to imrpove our players in.

Trade goals this year
We want to bring some stoppers and scorers to our team, especially stoppers, we're still a struggeling franchise and we made a lot of trades this year for some defensive players, hopefully we'll be a lot better next year.

Big trade with denver for a former rookie

Image

We believe that Evans will be a great player for our team, he's a shooter and hopefully we can develope him into a playmaker, we may trade Speights later in the year or in the offseason.

Phoenix offered us a trade proposal, someone named Ribeiro who is a small forward for our gaurd Garcia. Ribeiro is a better player than our, Ribeiro was rated 77 and our player was 73, we accepted this proposal because Ribeiro is still young, under 28 years old and can still develope.

We're going to be working hard on our team's defensive skills so we can stop other teams, we are one of the worse defensive teams in the league.

In another trade with Oklahoma City, we aquired inside stopper Serge Ibaka, Ibaka is now our starting power forward and can help us win next year. We want shooters, and scorers next on our team, because we can score either.

Next game at Utah Jazz

Image

Goals for the Wolves in this game

Coach:We have to stop the Jazz's big three which includes, Deron Williams, Carlos Bozzer and Andre Kirelenko, if we can hold two of these three players to under 18 points in tonights game, then we will win.

News and notes from the game

The minnesota timberwolves came out on fire with an early lead a few times in the 1st, but then the hotstreak ended with a series of missed shots by Minnesota.

By the end of the first the score was Utah 32 and Minnesota 23. Much of the same happend in the 2nd quartor, with a bunch of missed shots by the wolves. But the highlights of the first half by minnesota was the rebounds that Speights and Ibaka were getting.

Ibaka played great defense although he had no steals or blocks in the game. By the end of the 2nd quartor the score was Utah 29 and Minnesota 23. In the 3rd quartor though things started picking up with great substitutions by the coach, putting in some of his best shooters like Ribeiro and Peters in the game who both score big shots, especially from downtown, they were both excellent in the 3rd from downtown. Unlike in the first half when Ribeiro shot poorly from the three point arc.

In the third quartor though there was an injury to one of Utah's favorite row players, Sasha Pavolvic. As Sasha tried to drive to the basket for another dunk which he has been doing all night, he got hurt and was out of the game for the rest of the quartor so, Luther Head had to come in to replace Sasha. With a bunch of three from the timberwolves wing men, by the end of the third the wolves outscored the Jazz 42 to 31, by the end of the third the score was Utah 92 and Minnesota 88.

By the 4th quartor the wolves were dominate, once again the shots were taken mainly by the wolves wingmen with them making three pointer after three pointer. Sasha Pavolvic recovered from injury and came back in but he wasn't affective enough to score. There were two highlights for the jazz, Deron Williams driving to the basket almost every time he got the ball and scoring, and unbelievabally old Darko Millicic could not be stopped from scoring inside, not even in the fourth quartor! For the game Darko scored 27 points and was their main offensive player inside and he grabbed 13 rebounds.

Coaches comments about the game
Our guys played well and we won is the bottom line. But there are two things we have to work on, number one is our inside defense, and number two is our three point shooting. If we improve in those areas we'll be a much improved team, we have to keep winning, especially on the road.

Comments from team leader Yao Ming
I apologize to the coach and to our teamates for not playing well in tonight, i allowed Darko Millicic to score too many points inside. I have to improve defensively, but come on, i have to get the ball as well! Lawson! Please give me the ball inside, i'm an inside scoring big man and i can still play and i'm your team leader, so i should be getting the ball more!

Comments from Ty Lawson
I understand Yao, I'll try to get you the ball more, but you have to get open, i'll only give the ball to the open players and to the players who have been shooting well in the game, but yes Yao, i'll start passing the ball to you.

Next game against the tough dallas mavericks led by Dir norwitzki

Here are the starting lineups for tonights game

Image

The first few minutes of the game were close with no team leading by more than 2 points for a little while, but then the minnesota timberwolves got hot from the three point arc. Star player for the mavericks, gaurd Issac Mills got hurt early in the game and was substituted by Stevenson who had an ok night.

In the 2nd quartor Gortat had 2 blocks but that still wasn't enough to stop the inside scoring of Ibaka, Speights and 7'1 center Blanco of the timberwolves. Those three players led the scoring inside for the wolves while Foley had a great game from outside scoring 29 points total for the game.

Ty Lawson was an unbelievable unselfish player with 24 assists, he also dished in 12 points but had 4 turnovers. Yao Ming had a nice night with 17 points and 2 blocks. But the mvp of the game was maverick star Rodrique Beaubois who scored 50 points, got 17 assist and also played great defense with 4 steals.

Comments from Timberwolve coach and players

coach:This is it, this is exactly what i want from now on, i want our players to attack the rim. No longer will we be called the run and gun wolves, no, no, we're going to be the great inside scoring and defensive team in our division and in the future, starting next year, in the western conference.

Ty:Wow coach, did i do it? Or did i do it? I had a great game, i got everyone involved, i did what i said i was going to do and that is, that i got Yao Ming involved. He had a great game with 17 points baby, wohooo!

Yao:Thanks Ty, I'm one of the leaders on this team, and of course you're our other leader. All i want is the ball and to show you that i can still play at 30 years old, my skills aren't declining yet, and i'll try to stop that from happening, thank you Ty!

Media:Our team played well against a possible playoff contender, hopefully our team can keep up the good work, especially against the best in the league like the lakers, spurs and nuggets and others. I can't wait to see how well our two trainees improved, and what they improved in, hopefully it'll be some good results, we're one day away from coaching session results.

Plus i'm more careful now. But i'm not really bummed about my team, just the trade that i made with Kevin Love, i like this team and i'm going to stick with it, you'll see how long this dynasty lasts, it'll be a long while.
