Bynum was out-rebounded in the game by his teammates especially Gasol that is why and he only played for 25 minutes.

That really is a tough loss. Steve Nash is the most annoying player to play against in Live. 40 points isn't really incredible.

Even if he had already two defenders in front of him he can still able to make a shot and his FG Shooting in the game proved it. LOL

Lakers win but lose Bynum to wrist injury
______________________________________________________________________

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol rallied the Lakers to another victory. However, Los Angeles might have lost a key player again. Bryant scored 34 points, Gasol had 23 points and 17 rebounds and the Lakers beat Golden State 114-92 on Wednesday night, extending the Warriors’ losing streak to them with 10 since a 124-121 win in the Oracle Arena last season on March 15, 2010.

The win was tempered by the uncertain status of Lakers center Andrew Bynum, who left the game in the fourth quarter with a sprained wrist. X-rays were negative and further tests will be done Thursday where the Lakers face the Grizzlies the following day. “Great disappointment", Los Angeles coach Phil Jackson said. “We have to stay optimistic about it. That’s all we can do.” Derek Fisher scored 5 points and dishes out 6 assists for Los Angeles, and Lamar Odom added 13 as the Lakers won after a tough loss with Phoenix. Bryant also had seven assists. Andrew Bynum added 11 points and 8 rebounds after leaving the game. “He was in considerable pain out there, and it looked very reminiscent of what happened last year,” Jackson said.

The Warriors, meanwhile, got 54 points from their high-scoring backcourt of Curry who scored 32 points while Ellis added 22 and shot for only 8/31 in the field. Newly acquired forward David Lee had double-double, 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lakers started the game with a 14-2 with 1:07 left remaining in the first quarter to make it 31-22 after the 1st. Then they pulled away midway in the fourth period after they held the Warriors for a 14-point lead in the first half. Los Angeles outscored Golden State 55-41 after the break. Then it was Bryant and Curry show in the 4th when they exchange 3 pointers through the final minutes of the fourth quarter. Bryant finished with 6/8 in the 3 point line while Curry shot 6/7. “They did a great job in the fourth, no denying that,” Curry said. “I felt like my touches were limited in the second half, and give a lot of credit to the Laker defense.” Nelson noticed his team lose their edge in the second half, primarily as the veteran Lakers turned up the intensity.

“They got deflated,” Coach Don Nelson said of his team. “The Lakers made some tough shots. They started making threes, and their defensive pressure is something that could have affected them emotionally. As the game went on, our energy level went down. We weren’t able to be consistent as the game wore on.”

 Game Notes:
Andew Bynum left the 4th quarter with 8:32 remaining due to an injury. He collided with Warriors center Andris Biedrins when he took a shot.
Pau gasol scored 16 points on 7/7 in the 1st quarter.
Kobe Bryant's 3rd consecutive 30+ points.
Monta Ellis is 8/31 from the field.
Stephen Curry made 6 3-pointers in 7 attempts, Bryant is 6/8 in three point territory.

Not a surprise there, considering the Warriors are basically all offense. Bynum's injury isn't surprising either.

TEAM REPORT

After further medical tests and X-rays were done, Los Angeles Lakers medical staff reported that starting center Andrew Bynum sustained a broken bone in his wrist. He will undergo surgery and will be out for 8-11 weeks. Trainer Malik Omar will be focusing his attention on Bynum's recovery. Head coach Phil Jackson will likely start Theo Ratliff at the center position.

Yeah, it seems like Bynum is already prone to injuries either in real life and in NBA Live.

Pau Gasol leads LA past Grizzlies
______________________________________________________________________

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Pau Gasol‘s 20 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block led the Lakers in a blowout win over the Memphis Grizzlies on friday night. The Lakers took a huge lead in the first quarter and never looked back. They soundly defeated the Rockets for 21 points, 100-79. But it wasn’t just Gasol’s offense that was key to L.A.’s success, but his spectacular defense helped to limit Zach Randolph to 2-5 shooting and 4 points. The 7-0 Spaniard was active and physical on both ends; emotional and disruptive. “Pau really is totally different than what people think he is. He’s a killer.” teammate Kobe Bryant said. For the first four game of the Lakers, Gasol already averaged 21.5 points, 10 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.25 blocks. Gasol also notched his 3rd consecutive double-double in PTS-REB.

Memphis missed their first twelve shots to start the game and never recovered as the Lakers slowly but surely built their lead throughout the remainder of the game. O.J Mayo scored only 13 points on 6/23 shooting. Rudy Gay also added 13 points while Marc Gasol had 14 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Mike Conley had his team-high 21 points and dished out 8 assists.

The Lakers looked more serious tonight in the third quarter, much more so than they looked in the first half. The Lakers opened an 76-59 lead entering the fourth quarter against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Bryant had 22 points through three quarters and sat out the whole 4th quarter and Ron Artest had 10 points while veteran point guard Derek Fisher had 12 points and a career-high 3 blocks. The Lakers' bench was productive, getting 5 points from Matt Barnes and 8 rebounds and 15 points from Lamar Odom. Steve Blake added 2 points and 4 assists.

Early on, Gasol looked intent on scoring. He was on the attack from the beginning of the game, going at Zach Randolph and his replacements. He had 10 points and 9 rebounds in the first, helping the Lakers open a 27-18 lead over the Memphis Grizzlies Friday night at Staples Center. Theo Ratliff, starting at center in place of Andrew Bynum (broken bone in wrist) gave the Lakers a offensive presence and a strong rebounder. Ratliff collected seven rebounds and finished with 11 points. The Lakers are without the service of their starting big man tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies. Bynum missed his first game of the season with a broken wrist.

 Game Notes:
All Lakers starters scored in double figures.
Theo Ratliff started at center for the Lakers.
Derek Fisher had career-high three blocks.
The Lakers out-rebounded the Grizzlies, 50-34.
O.J. Mayo shot 6/23 from the field.

I'm not starting Pau at C unless I lose both my true centers. And besides, I like Odom contributing off the bench.

Evans, Kings stun Lakers in Sacramento
______________________________________________________________________

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The defending NBA champions dropped their second loss of the season (both in the road) in Sacramento, losing 99-85 to the Kings on Saturday night. Last season's Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans scored a career-high 36 points for the Kings, who are winless (0-4) before facing the Lakers. "I wish I knew exactly what it was," Evans said. "Then we could keep it going. We just play them with a lot of energy, a lot of effort."

Kobe Bryant had 27 points and seven rebounds for the Lakers, who trailed by as many as 20 points in the fourth quarter. Bryant made 12 of 28 field-goal attempts, while Evans made just 13 of 31. Evans also made 10 of 11 free throws, while Bryant didn't got a chance to take on the line. "They just play us really well here," Bryant said. "They're extremely well coached and play with a lot of energy here. They're very comfortable shooting in this arena".

The Lakers were coming off a back-to-back game. After a home victory against the Grizzlies in Staples they traveled immediately in Sacramento.

Bryant described the Lakers play as "flat." He conceded the travel was difficult but didn't accept the excuse. "You just have to bring it," said Bryant. "If the energy and effort isn't enough, we've got to bring more."

Said Lamar Odom, who scored 9 off the bench, "You just have to fight through the fatigue. We have to play more together as a team. We're not coming to the ball. We're not helping on defense."

Kobe Bryant tried to keep the Lakers going with an aggressive fourth period, but he wasn't on his game, either. His 3-of-7 shooting in the quarter simply slowed the Lakers down more. "He used the fourth quarter to try to put pressure on them," said Jackson. "But we want to save that for end-game situations".

“The key factor was the free throws,” said L.A.’s head coach in describing the Kings' 24-4 advantage in attempts. “That has to do with their aggressiveness.”

Pau Gasol notched his 4th consecutive double-double of the season scoring 18 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Ron Artest had 10 points and Lamar Odom added 9.

For the Kings, Newly signed Larry Hughes scored 18 points, highlighted by a big 3-pointer with 3:02 to play that started the late 11-2 fourth quarter run and with 3:02 to play. Carl Landry added 10 points off the bench after failing to score in limited minutes with the Kings. Rookie DeMarcus Cousins added 13 points and 5 rebounds.

“I thought that was a good team win,” said Paul Westphal. “Everybody chipped in, made plays that helped us win the game.”

 Game Notes:
Pau Gasol notched his 4th consecutive double-double.
Kings outscored Lakers in the fourth 38-19.
Lakers were only 1/4 in the free throw line.
Evans played for the whole 40 minutes and scored a career-high 36 points. He scored 19 of his 36 all in the fourth. Evans broke his previous career-high 34 points @ Charlotte on January 18, 2010.
