Rookie Report (Original Rookie)
Tyreke Evans (Kings) Averaging a Double-Double Tyreke Evans is having a spectacular first part of the season with averaging 26 points and 10.6 assists per game. With some help he can really be a big impact this season.
Rookie Report (Created Rookie)
John Wall (Wizards) Averaging almost a Double-Double with 15 points per game and 9.3 assists, he is proved to be an elite player already this early in the season. Is it just a hot 10 first games, lets find out with the next 10.
Suprise Team
Cleveland Caviliers--6-4, not the best record but good enough to put them in the top 10 of the NBA, why is this a suprise? Uh, because LeBron James isn't a member anymore...This is a huge shock to the world of basketball because they are proving they can play without him. Maybe Dan Gilbert was right, maybe they can get a ring before the king. Wow I never thought I'd say that.
Dissapointing Team
Atlanta Hawks--2-8, 2nd worse record in the NBA, the Hawks are off to a horrible start. Joe Johnson, the man they signed a max contract too isn't living up to the height of max deal, yes he is averaging 20 a game but he needs to step up more and lead his team. No one else is averaging more than 13 a game on the team, he needs to help them out more. Al Horford has also been out a week too, but that is no excuse with the amount of talent they have.

Minnesota Timberwolves 10 game review

Biggest Suprise
Luke Ridnour--Not starting his first 7 games coming off the bench and leading his team to a 18-0 run to beat the Blazers scoring 30 points. In his last 3 games starting he has scored at least 25 in all 3. He has been a huge help playing with J.J. Redick, the only dissapointment is is that all 3 games he started they lost.
Image

Biggest Dissapointment
Jonny Flynn, he started first 7 game and barley averaged 2 points a game. He had Luke Ridnour come off the bench behind him and Luke took over the game when heplayed Flynn really hasnt proved much at all. The only thing was that when he did start, they went on a 4 game win streak and actually won all there games when he started.

Best Highlight

Ridnour to Milicic Alley-Oop in the huge victory over Boston.

That's the news from around the league. Next game @Memphis Grizzlies

You don't get Redick leading the league in scoring in too many Dynasty games. I don't think we'll be seeing that anytime soon in real life, but regardless he's been doing a good job for you.

Re: Minnesota--A SuperStar City

Thu Jul 29, 2010 2:47 am

Unless Redick's "the man" on his team, he can be one of the leading scorers in the NBA. I think it's strange how Miami is only 5-4 with their Big 3, but that's the sim engine in Live 10, I guess.

Looking back, I noticed you've got some cap space. Is there anyone of value in the Free Agent pool that you could sign to a one year deal?

Re: Minnesota--A SuperStar City

Fri Jul 30, 2010 9:43 am

i just realized that also haha thanks for reading back and helping me cause i just used that cap room with a lot of new players and new faces that is going to make this a lot better now. a new post is coming with all my transactions in a little bit :D

Re: Minnesota--A SuperStar City

day 9 continuted.

TIMBERWOLVES WANT TRANSACTIONS

McHale approached GM David Kahn and said, "I don't like my team, I know its early in the season by were on a 5 game loosing streak and we need changes. We have 16 million dollars in the bank, it's early in the season lets use it and make the playoffs, forget about next year lets go with the now."
Image

David Kahn agrees with the sitation and let's McHale explain what he wants.

Original Roster:
Starters
Kevin Love-Center(78)
Michael Beasley-Power Forward(81)
Wes Johnson-Small Forward(76)
J.J. Redick-Shooting Guard(75)
Jonny Flynn-Point Guard(74)
Reserves
6. Luke Ridnour(PG)-73
7. Martell Webster(SG)-73
8. Kosta Koufas-(C)-74
9. Ramon Sessions(PG)-73
10. Darko Milicic(C)-72
11. Ryan Hollins(C)-70
12. Lazar Hayward(PF)-70(Rookie)
Injury Reserves
Wayne Ellington(68)-SG
Greg Stiemsma(60)-C

McHale wants Milicic to go, Kosta Koufas to go, Ramon Sessions to go, those 3 definitly Love can be used for trade bait he said too and possibly Beasley. He wants Redick to stay, Wes Johnson to stay, Lazar Hayward to stay. Others are up in the air.

What he wants in return: He wants another solid scorer who can put up 20 a night and START and play the game right, (cough cough Ridnour). Also he wants height, Milicic and Koufas are both 7'0, but they can't do anythhing and he has had it with them he wants them out of Minnesota he wants dominate big men.

Transactions:
1st Wayne Ellington (Injury Reserved 68) + 2nd round pick to go Golden State for Ekpe Udoh (70) 6'10 best part about his game: REBONDING. Alright we took a step.
2nd Jonny Flynn (74) + 1st round pick go to Denver for Chris "Birdman" Anderson (80). A dominate starting center who will give you 10 rebounds a night, 2 great moves so far.
3rd Kevin Love traded for Blake Griffin (both 78) Griffin offers more athleticism and is an inch taller. Another great move.
4th McHale signs Stephon Marbury. (75) A vertan free agent who may have had problems but knows how to play. Marbury signed 2 years 4.99 mil.
5th Greg Stiemsma (60) is release for more space on roster.
6th Shannon Brown (77) signs for a 1 year 5.85 mil dollar deal.
7th Beasley(81) and Milicic(72) go to San Antonio for Richard Jefferson(78) a scorer/starter and a 2nd round pick.

Results
6 Players gone 2 draft picks gone
Michael Beasley 81
Kevin Love 78
Jonny Flynn 74
Darko Milicic 72
Wayne Ellington 68
Greg Stiesma 60

6 players added 1 draft pick
Chris Anderson 80 Image
Blake Griffin 78 Image
Richard Jefferson 78 Image
Shannon Brown 77 Image
Stephon Marbury 75 Image
Ekpe Udoh 70 Image
San Antonio 2nd round draft pick

in the end McHale got what he wanted, 3 solid rebounders, and a starter/scorer and a great backup in Shannon Brown. He got rid of Milicic who he really wanted to go. Beasley arguably 2nd best player next to Redick, and 3 starters. But also getting rid of 2 IR's. I think it worked out wll McHale did.

Overall Cap Space now 569k

Lets see what happens next vs Trail Blazers

Please tell me what you think of my early transactions. This is going to be interesting now Minnesota's good. Gimme a grade of what you think.

Re: Minnesota--A SuperStar City

Fri Jul 30, 2010 11:11 am

You've certainly been busy. :) The only trade I'm not that sure about is Beasley and Milicic for Jefferson and a second rounder, you might have given up a bit too much there but then sometimes you've got to do that to clear wasted/underperforming players from your roster and it ultimately works out better for your rotation. Hopefully that will be the case for you.

Re: Minnesota--A SuperStar City

Fri Jul 30, 2010 11:34 am

I also did it because Richard Jefferson's contract is 1 year 14 million, thats what took up most of my cap space but he has 1 year just year is all i will need him for and then I get 14 million at the end of the season for free agency. Thats mainly what i did it for plus he is a scorer.

New starting lineup:
C Chris Anderson 80
PF Blake Griffin 78
SF Richard Jefferson 78
SG J.J. Redick 77 +2 playing well
PG Stephon Marbury 75

Bench
SG Shannon Brown 77
SF Wes Johnson 76--2nd leading scorer before transactions.
PG Luke Ridnour 75--better off the bench.
SG Martell Webster 73--> leading scorer off the bench before transactions
PF/C Ekpe Udoh and Lazar Hayward--70 there both playing a lot of time as back up big men.

I think it worked out for the best i tried so many oppertunitys to trade but teams don't give anyone up, especially rookies, you got get real creative and make sure they always get money back before they say yes.

Re: Minnesota--A SuperStar City

Fri Jul 30, 2010 11:52 am

That's true, you'll get that cap flexibility back at the end of the year. Hope it works out for you. :)

A total overhaul there! Sad to see Flynn and Ellington gone, but (Y) for the addition of RJ and Griffin as I do see you're going to enjoy playing with those two. By the looks of your new roster, we're about to see "dunk fest" every game. Good Luck!

Yeah im excited to play with my new roster, Ellington wasnt a big deal he was on my IR list and Flynn was a dissapointment to me every game putting up no numbers, it was early but time for a change.

That sucks. Get back on track by killing the Clippers (Y)

Re: Minnesota--A SuperStar City

Sat Jul 31, 2010 10:20 am

Shame the losing streak continued but you might need a game or two to adjust to the new lineup. Hopefully they'll gel quickly and you can get on a run.

Re: Minnesota--A SuperStar City

Sat Jul 31, 2010 11:06 am

sigh.. another tough loss well, as Andrew said, the team needs to adjust with their new teammates. If RJ can get more attacks and Birdman do the blocks, you can find your way in no time. :)

Re: Minnesota--A SuperStar City

Good to see the streak broken, hope you can string together a few wins and get back above .500.

Re: Minnesota--A SuperStar City

Fri Aug 06, 2010 11:59 pm

Hope you can get back above .500 like Andrew said. JJ Redick's becoming more like a leader for your team. I've never seen Chris Andersen take a mid-range jumper before, in real-life or in video games!

Re: Minnesota--A SuperStar City

Sat Aug 07, 2010 1:34 am

Suprisingly he makes a lot of those, i made 4 of those with him he can shoot and yeah Redick is a superstar he hits like 8 3's a game hes a very good shooter.
