Celtics 2009-2010

So I'm playing season mode in NBA Live 08 on Pro level. My team is the Celtics. Here's my original roster:

C: Kendrick Perkins
PF: Kevin Garnett
SF: Paul Pierce
SG: Ray Allen
PG: Rajon Rondo

Bench:
- Nate Robinson (PG)
- Tony Allen (SG)
- Rasheed Wallace (PF/C)
- Marquis Daniels (SF)
- Tony Gaffney (PF)
- Michael Finley (SF)
- Shelden Williams (C)
- Brian Scalabrine (SF)
- Glen Davis (C)
- Oliver Lafayette (PG)

After K. Garnett and R. Allen got injured, I began losing some games (against Bobcats, Knicks, Jazz, etc.) against weaker teams. I traded Lafayette for combo guard Dontell Jefferson and Shelden Williams and Marquis Daniels for Matt Bonner. The situation slightly improved (the bench gave a boost to the game). Then, Davis got injured and Garnett came back, and I won more games. But Pierce, somehow, disappeared from my lineup and I found him in free agency pool. I tried to sign him back but I couldn't . So what should I do now? What player should I get or is there a way to get Paul Pierce back?

that is very strange, If i were you i'd quit the dynasty, would totally kill it for me if something as stupid as that happened.

He's counted as waived with his salary counting against your cap or his salary is removed from your salary cap?

It's season mode. I played for a while (simulated a couple of days and played a game), and Pierce is not in free agents pool. He's in New Jersey Nets now .

obv nj would sign him if hes available n they have cap space, dont have a clue why he disappeared though i never had that in live 08, was there a diff between season mode and franchise/dynasty in that game? i forget, something similar happens to me in live 10 when i sign players to mle contracts during free agency they are always disappeared come start of next season and on random team.

ps. think you have the wrong forum for this btw, this is dynasty stories where ppl write about ther dynastys/franchises, u mite get better answers in another section

Season stories are welcome in this section if they're presented in the same way as a Dynasty thread, but generally speaking people do Dynasty games and Dynasty threads because of the depth and the detail you can go into.

As for your problem iamamac, that definitely is strange. I'd be inclined to start again.

If you're on PC, then you could always do a little DBF editing to get Pierce back.

I think I'll let Pierce off the hook and continue on with the game. Maybe he was waived without my notice and signed with Nets . I'll get a new small forward, better than Pierce .

With season mode, it will be tough. You'll probably have to trade Allen or KG to get a better SF then Pierce. (James, Anthony are the only one who come to mind, Granger and G-Wallace are up there too)

Jason Richardson kicks ass in my franchise playing sg and sf. Also look at Gerald Wallace, Stephen Jackson, Joe Johnson, and of course LeBron.

I used the same way for Stack at my Rockets franchise.
