I saw that your team had the opportunity to play them twice in a row, which is pretty convenient because you don't get that chance too often. Hopefully you were able to get some type of revenge in the second game though, because they beat you by a pretty large deficit in the first matchup. Anyway, thanks for stopping by. (Y)

Good signing for you, but are you sure Daniels will help you "winning it all"? Just kidding.

I like the signing personally , for a young team its good to have some veteran leadership in the backcourt and besides that the reserve pg's on the bench are pretty weak in 2k10.

Nice work !

Thanks Thierry.. (Y) Antonio has played significant minutes in the playoffs throughout most of his career, so yes.

Thanks for the kind words man. (Y) Even though Tinsley can somewhat be considered a veteran, I'm still not very comfortable with giving him a lot of minutes coming off of the bench. Lester Hudson and Marcus Williams don't provide much help either, so I decided to take a stab at another point guard on the free-agent market. Hopefully it turns out to be a good decision.

Good work, David West is a better defender and better overall player than Zach while Peja is much more or a proven scorer and leadership role off the bench.

How's Daniels working out so far ?

Memphis Grizzlies :: [3-4] :: Recap V.S. Philadelphia

Postby cavs4872 on Sun May 23, 2010 3:15 pm

Thanks for the feedback on the trade guys, but I'm afraid I'll have to end this association. If you haven't noticed, this hasn't been updated in more than a month. What happened is that I've played way too far into this, and really don't feel like recapping everything that you guys have missed. Even if I could, I still don't want to keep this going because of how poor the default sliders are. I really struggled to win games, and especially against bad teams. This has been my most successful association/dynasty in any NBA game though, so I'm pretty proud of myself in that regard.

Here are the most significant things that happened:

- Both Rudy Gay and Marc Gasol were named Western Conference All-Stars, but neither started.
- Both O.J. Mayo and Marc Gasol started for the Sophomores in the Rookie Challenge, while Hasheem Thabeet started for the Rookies.
- The Grizzlies, Bulls, and Jazz made a trade on the deadline day, which sent: Memphis - Peja Stojakovic (CHI), Hasheem Thabeet (CHI), Lester Hudson (UTA), 2010 Second Round Pick (CHI); Chicago - Brad Miller (MEM), Kirk Hinrich (UTA), Devin Brown (MEM), James Johnson (UTA); Utah - Paul Milsap (CHI), Ronnie Price (CHI), C.J. Miles (MEM).
- The Grizzlies finished the season with a record of 14-15, winning four of their last five games. They were tied with the Rockets for the eighth seed in the West, but Houston was chosen to advance into the playoffs.
- Marc Gasol recieved the NBA's Most Improved Player Award, averaging 21.0 PPG, 10.1 RPG, and 2.6 BPG during the regular season.
- The Celtics defeated the Lakers in five games in the NBA Finals to claim yet another championship. Kevin Garnett was named the NBA Finals MVP, averaging 19.3 PPG, 11.6 RPG, and 2.3 BPG.
- The Clippers received the first pick in the 2010 NBA Draft for the second consecutive season.
- The Grizzlies drafted Brett Dawson (SF/SG) from Pittsburgh with the thirteenth pick in the first round of the 2010 NBA draft, and Tienchung Chan (SG/PG) from China with the fourteenth pick in the second round.
- Every player on the Grizzlies whose contract expired was re-signed, except for Marcus Williams and DeMarre Carroll who were traded to the Timberwolves for Sasha Pavlovic, and Rudy Gay who signed a four-year contract with the Trailblazers worth $61.68M.
- Jawad Williams signed a one-year contract with the Grizzlies worth $464K.
- Tracy McGrady signed a three-year contract with the Grizzlies worth $17.34M.
- The Grizzlies started the 2010-2011 NBA season with a record of 4-1...

I'll continue to keep the saved file for this association incase I want to pick it up again, but I'll probably be starting a new one in a little less than three weeks. It will be more word-based than graphic-based, because it gets boring just using the same template over and over. Don't get me wrong though. There will still be plenty of pictures. Lately I've been playing a few games with tweaked sliders that I've downloaded and the results have been great, so I shouldn't have any trouble with the difficulty aspect of things either.

I also had the next recap for this association left in my drafts, so here it is:

Any association / dynasty you make will be more successful than in any of mine, you can be sure of that, so congrats  Hopefully my Grizz can stay for the long term.

Looking forward to your new story bro!
