You write well and take good in game pictures, so I'll keep an eye on this. Memphis is a good choice of team too. You can go plenty of different directions and there's no real pressure for you to be a contending team right away. Good luck (y)

No worries (y), it's good to have you back in the NBA Live section. Hope you have fun with this one. Don't forget, you always have the option to simulate a good chunk of the season and if your team isn't playing the style you want; make some trades.

Other than that, Memphis would be a fun team to play with. I love teams with two prominent wing players. Plus you got a great starting front court with some serious size coming off the bench (namely Thabeet and Haddadi).

November 6th, 2009 I MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES (4-1) @ LA LAKERS (4-1)I Season Series: Lakers lead 1-0

GRIZZLIES CHOKE ON THE BIG STAGE

The Grizzlies were having a great start to the season with a record of 4-1 and headed to Hollywood with loads of confidence, espically with the injury to Derek Fischer. However they seemed to have stage fright and in the first two quarters they were totally dominated by the defending champions. Early foul trouble saw Mike Conley and Zach Randolph having to be benched for alot of the start of the game however that was not the Grizzlies problem. Their problem was missing wide open shots. The ones doing most of the missing was Randolph but also high flyer Rudy Gay and he even butchered two easy dunks.

Mention should go out to Marc Gasol who had 6 blocks on the night and was the only consistent player on the night for the Grizzlies. Also Darrell Arthur should also get praise for his game. He showed great athleticism off the bench and threw down a couple of nasty jams. However it was the Lakers players who really shun and espically their big men who were unstoppable. Bynum and P.Gasol really dominated the game and set the tone of the match.

The Lakers were ahead by 20 for most of the match but in the 4th the young Grizzlies team showed some real fight. At one stage they cut back the lead to just 9 but it just wasn't their night. After going 3/11 from the field early in the match Randolph came back strong in the 4th hitting 3 threes and shooting 6/7. However the Grizzlies could not come back from their early deficit.

In the post game conference Lionel Hollins commented on the Lakers outboarding the Grizzlies. "They’re a good rebounding team. They always have been. They tumbled everybody last year in the playoffs on the glass, including Orlando." Hollins looks forward to the next game were he hopes to get back to winning ways.

Good effort in staying with them in the second half and trying to make up some ground in the fourth, that second quarter put you in a tough position. Better luck in the next game. :)
