SIXERS LOOK TO NEW BEGGININGS

After a disapointing beggining to the season the Philadelphia 76ers have named David Swan as their new GM effective immediatley. Thus far this season the Sixers have struggled with an 8-20 record. Swan was happy to have taken on the role, although knows that their are distinct challenges ahead from previous poor mismanagement. An initial challenge seems to be the low team morale, with two players coming out within the past week asking to be traded to another team. The players are believed to be center Samuel Dalembert and boom recruit Elton Brand. Both are believed to be disgruntled at lack of playing time, losing and just poor vibes throughout the Sixers camp. The question now beckons as to whether Swan will fulfill their demands, or try and rectify the issues. During his press conference Swan said he supported to current coach and that all is not lost in the season, as with 54 games to go "anything can happen"

Dalembert granted wish in multi player deal

In news just released through ESPN.com a deal has been struck between the Philadelphia 76ers and Chicago Bulls in a multi player trade deal. The 76ers give up long time center Samuel Dalembert and their unconditional first round pick in the 2011 draft, in return the Bulls have traded forwards Joakim Noah & Luol Deng. The move, believed to have been generated by Dalembert's willingness to leave the team has many already questioning as to why either team would swap these players. The Bull's already having Center Brad Miller and lacking small forward options, whilst the Sixers now have Andre Iguodala, Rodney Carney, Thaddeus Young and Luol Deng all battliling for the small forward position. The other question on everyone's mind is whether or not Elton Brand will be dealt, as he is also believed to be disgruntled with management at the Sixer's currently. Neither the Sixers or Bull's have said much yet, the Sixers only saying both Noah and Deng will be playing in their up coming game against Utah, Deng wearing Number 1, Noah #43, more on this breaking story as it comes to hand.

JAZZ TO GOOD FOR NEW LOOK SIXERS

The Utah Jazz have defeated the new look 76ers at home in a close affair, the scores not really representing the game, as with five minutes to go the game could have gone either way. The Sixers missed opportunites and handed out easy turnovers to eventually go down 95-85. Deron Williams was the best for the Jazz with 27 points, 11 assits and 1 rebound, Ronnie Brewer also played well with 20 points and 5 assists. For the Sixers it was new recruit Joakim Noah with 19 points and 5 rebounds, Thaddeus Young played well with 16 points and 6 assists. The few Sixers fans in attendace hurled abuse at their players as they walked off the court disapointed and frustrated with yet another loss.

I mean, you are trading a old center and a pick for two young players with great future... that would never happen in real life. Never. Ever.

Its actually a fairly realistic salary dump. Bulls lose Noah, but get to dump Deng's bloated contract and get a probable lottery pick.

The Bulls would never do that. And Deng's contract isn't considered a trade asset yet. Might as well trade Brand and a pick for Wade and Beasley.

Not really. More like Brand and Speights for Jermaine O'Neal's expiring and a pick.
