The Quicken Loans Arena fell silent after a fantastic performance by the Truth sent their team on a losing streak to start their season. Kevin Garnett managed to prove his critics wrong by putting up 12 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks, proving that he hasn't missed a step due to his injury late last year. Perkins also put up an impressive 7 rebounds and unusual 8 assists, showing that this year, the Celtic front court will be a forced to be reckoned.
Pierce also proved to be an underrated defender, as he kept King James down to only 12 points. However, Lebron made up for his lack of scoring by averaging 7 rebounds and 8 assists, passing to Delonte West and Mo Williams, each with the hot hand and averaging 24 and 27 points respectively. On the boards, both Shaq and Ilgauskas proved to be a force, putting up a combined 24 rebounds. When asked about the loss during the postgame interview, coach Mike Brown assured fans that their were still 81 games left in the season and that they were "still in for a very special season".
