Miami Heat Live 09 XBOX 360 Mode Coming Soon

Postby dascoot on Sun Jul 26, 2009 8:04 pm

I finally got my XBOX 360 and am going to start a dynasty on live 09 with the Miami heat. I have the roster updated as accurate as i can but the bad news is i have no blake griffin or any of those players. I will simulate the first season and stay tuned for updated about rookies and even free agent signings in the first season. Also i set the simulation on 10 minute quarters so maybe the scores won't be quite as high as they were in my Memphis Dynasty.

correction simulation is on 12 minutes whereas if I watch a game or play it it will be on 10 minutes so the scores won't be as high as say 130-119 unless its OT. I apoligize to anyone right now who is wanting screen shots as I said I'm not that great with computers but how can i save any amazing play or interesting stats for games. Also right now there are free agent signings that are going around

Houston signs Sam Cassell

Minnesota signs Stephon Marbury

Chicago signs Bonzi Wells

L.A. Clippers signs Drew Gooden

Sacramento signs Jason Williams

Sacramento signs Juan Dixon

Miami does two signings

Miami signs Robert Horry to a 1 year contract

Miami signs Derrick Anderson to a 1 year contract

Also Miami mades a trade.

Miami trades power forward Jermaine O Neal to Portland for Raef Lafrentz and Andre Miller. Why i did this trade? Miller and Lafrentz has expiring contracts so there's 18 million off the books. Jermaine O Neal who gets injured alot also hasn't suffered an injury for me this year still has 3 years left on his contract. Miller also provides a veteran point guard and Lafrentz adds more depth. I may have to see how I play with Lafrentz on my team. Lafrentz is the only player I've ever had a quadruple double with.

stayed tune as I am going to try the best i can for next season to do some screenshots and all that great jazz. I am going to write who the free agents are though out in the open so you can see them listed by each position for each team instead of saying flip through Atlanta and looking at all there free agents and so on.

Sorry that yet there is no screen shots but like i said am planning to after I simulate the first season. I am building this team around Wade and Beasley. I want to put enough pieces around Wade so that he will stay and am hoping that I can get Andrew Bogut who is a free agent next year along with some role players like Linus Kleiza, Grant Hill, and Chris The Birdman Andersen. Another couple of players I'm shooting for next year who is a free agent and my first choice is Chris Paul. If I can't get Chris Paul then I might go after Mike Bibby who is also a free agent. Before the ONeal trade my team was 10-5. Since the trade my team is only 7-16. Am hoping to get to the playoffs because of having Robert Horry and Derek Anderson. You will see later a full list of free agents but am hoping i can get some of those players. I would really also like to get James Posey too. Am hoping to find a good center or point guard in the draft. When i post the full list of free agents later I'd like your guys feedback on who i should try and go after to put around Wade and Beasley.

Postby dascoot on Tue Aug 04, 2009 9:54 pm

here are my thoughts

Idea 1; Chris Andersen ( he can provide me some shot blocking and defense off the bench) , Linus Kleiza ( can provide me with some outside scoring off the bench with Wade and Beasley out on the floor and most teams will focus on them too Kleiza gets open three's then) Grant Hill ( provides veteran leadership and clutch moments off the bench) , Quinton Ross ( provides some defense when Wade is resting) chris Paul ( I would love to get him more than anyone because a backcourt of Paul and wade would be nasty ) and draft a center and power forward

Idea 2: Andrew Bogut ( could take over when alonzo mourning retires if he plays to retire next year.) Glen Davis ( a very good role player who i think could start or even come in and give Haslem rest) , Trevor Ariza ( provides some rest for Beasley and can be a spark off the bench)
Michael Finley ( could even start at the 2 and Wade goes to pg possibly also maybe a spark off the bench who can score) will probably draft a pg and a pf if i go this route

Idea 3: Mike Bibby ( can provide veteran leadership at the PG and i feel will do a better job than Andre Miller has done so far) , Brandon Bass ( a young player who i feel can be a spark off the bench for when haslem rests) probably would draft a center and a backup small forward. )

any other ideas you would do

That New Orleans-Orlando trade is quite insane, no doubt a blockbuster trade. In my opinion Orlando got a better deal out of it.

I agree with you there. Orlando now have some depth with and New Orleans could play Howard at the pf and Chandler at the Center. Hopefully though Orlando doesn't resign Paul and then i could go after him. Imagine paul and wade in the backcourt.

Any suggestions of free agents to go after? I would like some peoples opinion. Should I go after Rasheed Wallace? Andrew Bogut? Linus Kleiza? Kevin Garnett? Brandon Bass? Gerald Green? Trevor Ariza? Grant Hill? Matt Barnes? I just would like to see what people think? I have eight people up for free agency on my team which is

- Alonzo Mourning -38 years old

- Jamaal magloire- 30 years old

- Raef lafrentz- 32 years old

- Robert Horry- 38 years old

- Brevin Knight- 33 years old ( by the way I forgot to mention I traded Dorell Wright to Utah for Brevin Knight and a 2nd round pick)

-Derek Anderson- 34 years old

- Andre Miller- 32 years old

- Chris Quinn- 25 years old

I think I am going to wait until 2010 to really get a dynasty going. I will still have the Memphis Dyansty though because that is on my PC. I will let you know though that Miami did make the playoffs and was an 8th seed. Went up against Cleveland and got knocked out of the first round. Then I know you are going to want to know what free agents I went after and who i resigned here is the list. Also apparantly i was wrong about Andre Miller being a free agent

Resigned

Alonzo Mourning

Free Agents I signed

Chris (Birdman) Andersen, Brandon Bass, Matt Barnes and Ramon Sessions

so what do you think of who I picked up from free agency? I am going to work on practicing screen shots though so that when Live 2010 comes out I will have a dynasty that rocks. So if you see me mentioning a few games in this dynasty here it's to practice screenshots so i can get good.
