AARON BROOKS: ALL-STAR?
HOUSTON (AP)- The Rockets are 23-3, being lead by Yao Ming and Aaron Brooks, former all-stars, Ron Artest and Tracy McGrady have only been averaging just over 10 points a game, and the Rockets general manager Daryl Morey, has been using them as trade bait. Aaron Brooks, however has been nothing but great for the Rockets, he has the same attitude and skill as Allen Iverson did in his first few years. "I've been playing great, Carroll Dawson gave me a few tips in the offseason, and Daryl Morey had a talk with me, telling how the Rockets organization really believes in me, and straight from there, my confidence and my skill level skyrocketed." He is one of the fastest players in the NBA, he is up there with Monta Ellis and Devin Harris, and last year he competed in the Playstation Skills Challenge and came 3rd behind Derrick Rose and Dwayne Wade. He's averaging 17.8 points a game, and last week against the Mavericks he scored a career-high 40 pts and dished out 15 assists. He is 3 rd in the league for assists, and 2nd in the Rockets for points per game. Though he has gained criticism for being a shoot-first point guard, as told recently by Ron Artest in a loss to one of the lowest teams, the Clippers. "He kept shooting, he was shooting 1-12 in the 1st quarter and he kept shooting. He needs to lift up his game, and do his job, which is passing the ball." However Allen Iverson responded by saying "He (Brooks) is a great player, everyone is going to give criticism at one point of your career, I got it for being one of the bad guys of the NBA, he should just keep his head up, and show why he's here." Aaron Brooks was selected 26th overall in the 2007 NBA Draft, and he might be on of the biggest picks in that draft, following the steps of Michael Redd and Manu Ginobili, who were both picked in the 2nd round, and became all-stars. Watch out this season for 3 big names, Ming (29.7 pts), Brooks (17.8 pts) and Artest (15.3 pts).

DARREN HOLLOWAY & JAKE CHAMBERS
Never before released rookie scouting report on Darren Holloway & Jake Chambers
DARREN HOLLOWAY
7'0'' 266lbs
Darren Holloway is a strong, up and coming center coming out of New Mexico, he may not be the best player at first, but he has a bit of potential, but not the best. His inside lacks for a big guy, but for a big guy his size, he can shoot the 3 occasionally, but I wouldn't rely on it. He definitely won't be dribbling the ball down, and may be one of the worst dribblers I've seen in my life, his defense is average, his perimeter defense is lacking, while is post defense is slightly above par. He has a poor basketball I.Q. And for a guy his size, he has a great athleticism. He has a 40'' vertical leap. He will be drafted in the last 1st round.
POTENTIAL:C-
INSIDE: C
OUTSIDE:D
PERIMETER DEFENSE: D+
POST DEFENSE:C+
HANDLING: F
REBOUNDING: C
I.Q:D+
ATHLETICISM:C
PROJECTED: Last 1st Round
JAKE CHAMBERS
6'8'' 237 lbs
Jake Chambers is a great defender coming out of NC State, he is probably a rookie of the year contender, but he is injury-prone, just coming off 2 surgeries in the off-season. He doesn't have alot of potential, which makes it hard for teams to pick him. If they do pick him, it will most likely be short-term. He has a great inside game for his position and shoots the mid-range shot and 3 point shot really well. His defense is exceptionally good, but not perfect, he can really defend well in the post against taller defenders. His handling is average, and needs to be worked on. His rebounding skills are really good, and the same goes with his I.Q. of basketball, but sometimes he does make the wrong choices. His athleticism is exceptionally, and will definitely be up there with the all-stars of the NBA, he has a 47'' vertical leap, which is exceptional and can run under 11 seconds for the 100m. He will be drafted in the top 15.
POTENTIAL:D-
INSIDE: C-
OUTSIDE:B+
PERIMETER DEFENSE: B-
POST DEFENSE:B-
HANDLING: C+
REBOUNDING: C
I.Q: C+
ATHLETICISM: A-
