BEHIND THE SCENES - - -
It was game day. The Warriors were hosting the Clippers, and everything seemed to be great. Jamison was getting along great with the rest of the team, and so was Pecherov, as he is actually a pretty funny guy. But there was one player that didn't like Jamison coming back to Oakland. Jamal Crawford. Crawford was concerned for his No.1 offensive option status. He has become a real good friend with the Warriors starting guard, Monta Ellis. Monta was a great person, but he was quite amendable, so Crawford thought he can get Ellis on his side. Don Nelson has noticed Jamaal was nervous at every practice, so he once said to him: "You have nothing to worry about Jamal, at this point you are still our Go-To guy, and the only player that can take that away from you is Monta, and he eventually will as he continue to improve". Jamal didn't believe Nelson's words so he decided to call a close friend of his, Gary Payton.
"Excuse me, could you unlock the locker room for me"-Jamal asked the janitor. "Sure, just a sec"-the janitor then reached for his keys and opened the door. Jamaal went in. He went to his locker, grabbed his Cellphone and dialed Payton's number...the phone was ringing, but nobody answered. He kept trying and trying, but to no avail. "Jamal, the coach is calling you to join us"-Morrow ran to Crawford. "Just tell him I'm busy"-He answered. Morrow shook his head and went back to the court. Jamal was starting to get angry. He felt like nobody wants him on this team anymore, as he was a very fragile soul. When he was a kid he had no real friends, and was always left alone with a basketball. In New York he made a good friend in Nate Robinson, but he became famous and completely forgot about Jamal. "I'm gonna show them who's team this is"-Jamal said as he raced down the hallway and stepped on the training court. "Where have you been Jamal, quickly get in there, we have game tonight"-the coach said. He started the next play, and quickly got in the zone. "Pass the ball for Christ's sake"-Maggette was frustrated with so many taken shots on Jamal's name. "Why when I can score"-Jamal mumbled, but nobody heard him...
After practice ended, he went to his locker and notice that he received a message on his cell. It was from Payton. "Yo kid I am busy lately, nothing to worry about, I'll get back to you in a couple of weeks"-as Jamal read the message he realized he was loosing another friend. "I don't need friends, Kobe didn't have any and look where he is now"- he thought. But the thing he didn't realize is that Kobe had a family, Crawford will never have one if he continues to be as paranoid as he is now. "yo man, what you looking at, beauty isn't transitional"-Azubuike joked as Jamal mind wasn't in that locker room, but was far far away. He quickly picked up his stuff and went home. "Hey man I was just joking"-Azubuike yelled as he saw Jamal exiting the building. As Jamal got home, he took some pills to relax his nerves. "I need a friend" -he said as lied on the sofa and turned on the TV. He eventually fell asleep. Then, later on, the phone rang. Jamal looked at the display and saw coach Nelson was calling him. he turned off the TV and answered the call. "Hello, Crawford speaking"-he tried to sound normal. "Hi there Jamal, I realized you was a little bit frustrated this morning on practice, whatever it is, you just gotta let it go, we have a game in about 3 hours, straighten up and get your 20+ points per game ass here"-Jamal didn't really pay attention to what coach was saying, but he understood the get your ass here and straighten up parts. "Yes sir"-he calmly answered and hung up.
About a half an hour later, Jamal was already changing into his workout clothes. Then Azubuike said something. "Yo man, sorry bout that thing earlier today, I was just joking"-Crawford just looked at him, and said nothing. He just continued to tie his shoe. "Yo man don't ignore me, I said I'm sorry"-Azubuike said louder. Jamal got up and just walked pass Azubuike to the teams gym. "Fuck you, you arrogant dick"- Azubuike yelled as loud as he could. Jamal put his earphones in his ears, played some music and started to lift weights. "I don't want to get close to him, I'll get traded again"- Jamal said to himself, the wound from being traded from his former best friend, Nate Robinson, was still fresh. Then he went on to shoot some jumpers and thought-"This is going to be a good night."
