CHAPTER FIVE: NOTHING WILL GET SETTLED [PART 1]

After winning their first preseason game, Jon Fajardo looked on and congratualated his team on the well fought out victory. But something inside Jon told him that he could've helped a lot and that the victory wouldn't have been a down to the last second victory. Anyways, he got up and celebrated with his team at the Rockets' fans expense. As the whole team were celebrating, Jon bumped into Wallace who just gave Jon a look that wasn't totally bad but wasn't good either. As the team went in to the locker room to change, Jon approached Wallace and pulled him to the side to try and talk things out and possibly settle the beef between the two.

"Listen man, I don't know exactly what I did to you but whatever it is I'm sorry." As Jon spoke, he could sense that Gerald Walalce really wasn't trying to hear what he had to say. He continued anyways, "You know just as well as I do that we could've helped the team out there against Houston. You know you felt the exact same way I felt about how bad you wanted to play." Just then, Wallace interrupted him, "You know why I don't like you? Because you're one of those guys that think you can just come into the league and make an impact- like the team revolves around you. I heard about you, you skipped the entire week of workouts because you were so confident that you knew exactly where and when you were going in the draft. Not only were you wrong but you got bumped down because of that!"

Jon, nodding his head said, "I know man. I f***ed up bad, but I'm really trying to make things better here. I just want to help this team as much as I can." Wallace interrupted, "You're all talk dude, I'll believe it when I see it. Until then, I just want to get on with the pre-season." With those final comments, Wallace walked right back into the locker room to join his teammates. Jon, still standing outside, takes a deep breathe and exhales telling himself, "Let's just get this over with."

You could have get something else in the Diaw trade

Diaw + Mbah Moute + 1st rounder
for
Frye + Batum

You should have pushed for Fernandez. Logjam at the 2? Trade him again with Frye for Biedrins ;)

Thanks for the input but I really like the line-up i have. I am thinking about trading off Raja Bell for a veteran point guard because I have 3 scorer in Fajardo, McCants and Bell and i love McCants in the game. So if another trade goes down itll be that. Frye is solid enough for me in this game.

But thanks for your opinion (Y)

"Raymond Felton Not Out of the Game Yet"

Image

East Rutherford, New Jersey (AP)- It seems that Raymond Felton will get a second chance at being "the guy" as the New Jersey Nets have signed him from free agency. After being released by the Charlotte Bobcats, Felton has been said to have dropped his value as a key player to any team. However, the NEts seem to have a liking to Felton to be taking a chance with him.

The Nets signed Felton to a 4 year deal worth $6.71M.

"Man, just being signed and given the opportunity to prove myself again is good enough. I'm coming into New Jersey a new man," Felton said after we caught up with him after the transaction. Felton and Vince Carter will both look to lead the Nets down the right path this season.

CHAPTER SIX: NOTHING WILL GET SETTLED (PART TWO)

On the drive back to the team's hotel, everything seemed to be calm and normal. McCants was listening to his iPod, Raja Bell and Channing Frye were talking about the night's game. But the attention however, drew in to the 5th seat on the right of the bus where Gerald Wallace and Jon Fajardo were seated right next to each other. Was there going to be another brawl? Or will these two finally set there differences aside?

"Hey man, good game out there," Jon told Wallace. As he heard the words, Wallace knowingly ignores Jon's comments and continues to daydream out the window. "So, we got Cleveland tomorrow, sounds like you're gonna have your hands full with LeBron eh?" Jon asked. Nothing. Wallace looked over at Jon, smirked and went back to daydreaming. "Listen man, we're going to be on the same team whether you like it or not. We have to get along sooner or later so why not sooner?" Wallace, looking as if he had enough of Jon asked, "15 or 20?" Confused and out of place, Jon replied, "What?"

"15 or 20? How many points you going to score tomorrow against Cleveland?" Jon thought about it and responded, "Man! I'm scoring at least 15! What about you!?!" Wallace replied, "Don't even trip young gun, imma do me out there. You just watch and learn. The key to this game is play your opponent. Know what your capable of doing and what they're capable of NOT doing and exploit it. Just remember: You own the guy guarding you and you dictate what the guy can and can not do to you offensively. You live by that and everything will be everything." Wallace replied.

Looking on with a newfound knowledge of the game, Jon responded, "Yeah, I feel it. I own the guy guarding me and I dictate what the guy does and doesn't do on offense. Now that's something I can live by." From a distance, Larry Brown noticed the two conversing without throwing any fists or without a look of hatred towards the other. At that point, Brown knew that he finally got himself a team that could make some noise this season now that everyboyd is on the same page.
